I got a very special rate so I can not really complain but an underground room in a 4 star hotel is not quite acceptable

We had a horrible horrible stay at Villa Patrizi. This hotel seems to be severly mismanaged. When we arrived, we were told that "there were something wrong with our rooms" and that they had arranged for us to be transferred to another hotel for the same price. We suspected that they had made a double booking, which is so unprofessional. Since we had the rest of our family staying close to Villa Patrizi, to change hotel was a not an acceptable solution. We spoke with two managers but they did not want to compensate us for THEIR mistakes that caused us inconvenience. Anyway, when we arrived to the other hotel, we learnt that Villa Patrizi had not spoken with the people there, who wanted to charge us double than the agreed price!! After hours of negotiations and phone conversations with the managers at Villa Patrizi and the other hotel, we were finally accepted as guests for the agreed price. It doesn't end here though. After one night, we had to change hotel back to Villa Patrizi, who now had vacant rooms. All this trouble made us loose an entire evening in Rome and really caused us inconvenience. The rooms at Villa Patrizi was ok, not 4 star quality though, but not bad. Huge bath room. Breakfast was good. Calm neighbourhood. 15 minutes walk to Termini and 35 min to the Coloseum. We can not recommed this hotel!

The hotel is simple but nice, and fairly well served of public transportation. However, the rooms are not efficiently isolated from outside noise (in particular from other rooms).

Young couple traveling for fun. It was a 3 min walk to the metro but a close stop to the Termini station where you can switch trams to head in either direction- very convenient. Would def go back. We stayed a few nights.

Rooms are very small but justified for the price. Only complaint was that laundry service not available during the stay which is very inconvenient indeed.

This hotel was listed as a 4 Star facility. The hotel did not provide laundry service, which my family and I had planned to use. We packed as if laundry services were provided. I major inconvenience. The bathrooms, specifically, the shower, was very small. The room was also very small. The replacement of toiletries was inconsistent. The shower door was broken for several days. The airconditioner made loud noises in the middle of the night, at times waking us. The dining room staff were not friendly. This hotel should be classified Star 2+ - not Star 4. I would not recommend nor return.

By car
Rome's city-centre can be easily reached via the Grande Raccordo Anulare ring road, connected to all the main incoming highways. From the Raccordo, exit at Nomentana, Salaria or Tiburtina, and head towards the city-centre (Roma Centro). For specific driving directions, please contact the hotel.

By train
From the Roma Termini railway station, take underground line B towards Rebibbia and get off at Castro Pretorio or Policlinico, both very close to the hotel.

By airplane
From the Roma-Fiumicino airport, take the Leonardo Express train to Termini and follow the aforementioned indications.
From the Ciampino airport, take the bus to Anagnina, then underground line A to Termini and follow the aforementioned indications.
