It was our second time in Rome. Hotel Barberini is a good location to stay as it is a hotel in a quiet little street. The rooms are a little bit too small for the price, but breakfast on the roof terace was really excellent and you have a wonderful view from there! It´s only a few steps to the next metro station. Alltogether it was a pleasant stay.

When we arived at the Hotel we were immediately greeted, they had our reservation, the room was to be available in 30 mins as we arrived early in the morning we expected this. They suggested we go onto the roof terrace for breakfast while we waited which we did. From the terrace you have a wonderful view of Rome. They had a large full selecttion of food ! As we had eaten on the flight from Nice we had a little continental breakfast for which they decided was no charge ! We were then told our room was ready (within the 30 mins) and we had been upgraded. The room was spacious and beautifully decorated and elegant we hated to leave it. Downstairs again they were happy to help us plan some sightseeing and gave us some tips on where to eat etc. They were extremely kind and professional. The whole hotel is old world elegant we would recommned this hotel and Venere as a booking site to anyone.

The room was nicely appointed but it was the tiniest room! I have been in walk in closets that were bigger. It had a single bed and when I laid my suitcase on the floor, there was no room to walk! Earlier in my trip I had stayed at another hotel with more space and half the price.

Great hotel in a central location. The staff was helpful. While the room was on the smaller side, it was elegantly decorated and the balcony gave us a stunning view of St. Peter's. Ask for a room on the fifth floor. The breakfast room also boasted great views. We look forward to returning.

All members of our family (mom, dad, 17-yr-old girl and 13-yr-old boy) were pleased with this hotel. We had a lovely room; pleasant, prompt service; a good location; and fabulous breakfasts.

Very nice bathrooms, small rooms, delicious breakfast room with a nice view. Good location. Friendly, helpful staff. My son left a Roma Soccer jersey and they did have it returned(with posteage).

This is a charming and clean hotel. Our suite was beautifully decorated. The staff was very helpful. The hotel was very difficult to find, the web site needs much better directions/map. The hotel is in a great central location. We traveled with our 4 children and the hotel met all our needs.

We thought the hotel was excellent. It had great service and was in a wonderful location. We found the staff to be helpful and friendly, especially when we arrived after a long flight from Australia.

Desk staff was very helpful and knowledgable, but porters were generally not friendly or particularly helpful. Close to subway stop. Rooms were small by US standards but well appointed, so I rated it higher than I would if it was in the US. I would stay there again.

Our room was slightly smaller than expected but the balcony and view of both the Barberini Palace and S Peter's made for a wonderful visit. Excellent bathroom facilities. Breakfast was good and staff excellent. Front of house staff extremely helpful and courteous. In fact, they were fantastic. The barman poured gin and tonics to die for. Cleaning staff were very accommodating. I would stay again despite my room being smaller than expected.

Bad things first
Even we announced our late arrivel at internet booking it took finally 3 clerks for about 15 min. to figure out who we were and which room was reserved for us.
Room and bathroom were perfectly clean. Room was ok for 3 nights. We would not stay longer because of the size. We got a room of about 10-12 + bathroom 2,5 qm. No space to place you toilette utilities to.
Roof terasse is very nice but not open for breakfirst. They only opne it for cocktails at night. What a shame.
Good things now
Hotel is very clean. Breakfirst buffet for italian circumstances rich and nice. waiters offer all types and amount of coffee. Just ask for it. They have a tendency to hide in a small social room beside the breakfirst room which is located in the basement. If you need service ask for then you might get it.

We met my mother in Rome and all stayed at the Barberini in a double room and a suite. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was quiet and well located for us. Breakfast was good and the rooms, while small, were confortable. The bathroom was clean and of good quality.

Excellent location close to Barberini station.
The junior suite room with two additional bed was a bit smaller for a family with two children but it could be Italian srandard....
Wide variety of breakfast and the recommended naerby restaurant was excellent. Friendly hotel staff.

An excellently situated hotel, within 10 minutes of the Trevi fountain. Virtually no external noise so sound proofing has been done very well. However the internal walls were clearly made of paper!! The staff were very helpful and friendly and when we called at 2am to complain about the noise they were very apologetic and contacted the offending room immediately for us! Good shower & hard beds!

Pleasant and friendly hotel that did the job we were after, i.e. providing welcoming stay in the heart of Rome. If I were to have one (small) complaint it would be that they didn't handle moderate numbers of people at breakfast too well; the tables were left with the previous person's plates/cutlery and the buffet would run out.
They could maybe have done with more staff given that we were there on the Easter weekend.

The staff was friendly and went out of the way to be helpful. The rooms vary by price. The rooms that have balconies are really nice but priced accordingly. They serve a great breakfast and have good suggestions for area resturants. I liked the fact that the hotel, though close to tourist attractions, was removed from the crowds. I have stayed there twice and have reservations to stay again this fall.

We enjoyed our stay in Roma, it was the first time there for both my husband and myself. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, my husband had his Palm Pilot (hand held computer) taken from our room. It was in the outside pocket of our backpack. The cover was not taken. This was the only negative incident that occured on our Roman holiday. The staff was helpful in trying to find his Palm Pilot and finally helped in paying for a new one.
We appreciate the staff's concern and help with this issue. It has not turned up upon our return home with unpacking. He purchased a new one.
Your Hotel was well located and very clean. The breakfast was great. We will recommend your establishment to our friends who plan on visiting your city.

Hotel Barberini is in a perfect location to enjoy the Rome flavour life because on one hand is surrounded by little streets, typical restaurants or good ice cream shops, and on the other hand it is close to a lot of art and famous places, all of them worth to visit, as the Trevi fountain.
The hotel is very well connected with the rest of the city by bus and underground, so guests will have the possibility to easily reach all the beautiful and historical monuments of the eternal Rome city. |
