Very nice place with good surrounding! Breakfast is only served in the room and can become very complicated in a small room without any table ore chair.

The bathroom was really too small. The breakfast was in the room but there was no table.

Very, very small but nice hotel. Welcoming staff. The room was the smalliest hotel room we have ever seen! It vas REALLY small. A big person would have real problems in the shower!!

The room was very noisy,we couldn't sleep in the morning as the receptionists started chatting really early in the morning(our room was close to the reception desk). When we asked for another room the receptionist told us that our room was very nice to get rid of us.They had to bring the breakfast from another hotel on our bed(there was not even a table) and when we asked for a glass of water they told us that they didn't have any.The room was really tiny and the bathroom was for dwarves!!!It definitely isn't worth 140 euros and we suggest it only if you intend to stay out all day and go back just to get some sleep(if you are lucky to get any)!

As described on the site, the rooms were very small but convenient. Perfect location for visiting any place in Rome. The breakfast could be much improved with fresh juice and bread instead of packed chemicals. The main drawback was noise insulation which is extremely poor.

A little tough to find, but very clean. Turns out its about 50m from the taxi stand at P. Sonino, or find Mcdonalds ands its the next road past the cinema. Clean, good staff, and only complaint is how thin the walls are. If you like Trastevere, this is a great location.

Clean in a quiet corner of Trastevere, small rooms but well equipped

Our room was extremely small, as was the bathroom. It was right by the desk and it felt like there was no privacy as you could hear everything. There was also a terrible smell in the hallway, which luckily was not in our room as well. We literally had to hold our breath when walking in and out of the room in order to avoid gagging.

I won't return because of two aspects: The breakfast is more than poor, served in the room but without any space to eat (except the bed). The bathroom is extremely small, you can't even turn around!

Clean, but small, room in rustique and enjoyable are of Rome. Cleaning staff great, breakfast excellent. Other staff loud, talking all night on phone and not particularly helpful.

Charming small hotel, loved the location, fun restaurants close by, Tiber River 2minutes, forum and colliseum 10+ minute walk. Continental breakfast in room. Room typical european small size, very small shower in otherwise nice bathroom. Arived very early but room was ready. Could hear people talk in hallway on ocasion, helpful staff. H bus stops 1/2 block from hotel but a little tricky to find the first time.

Nice, convenient and quiet location. In the vicinity of numerous restaurants. Rooms are very small. Avoid room no. 11. You can hardly move around. Limited/no space for luggage. Two choices for breakfast 1) On the bed (no other option) or 2) Walk to the nearby hotel (2-3 minutes) which is operated by the same owner/group.

Small & basic rooms, but v.clean & nice staff. Lovely area if you want more of a neighbourhood feel, out of the hustle and bustle of central Rome but in easy walking distance of Forum, Capitoline, Pantheon etc. And breakfast in room is fine - not just a cup of coffee but also fresh roll, yoghurt, croissant etc. Pretty standard for continental hotel.

Say no to room 10. This is not a room but a small closet. Day 2,3 and 4 we got a bigger room but, still small. The empleoyees was very nice, and helpfull. We enjoyed our stay.

The name of this place is no longer "Antico Borgo di Trastevere". Now it's "Trastevere House". If your taxi driver don't know the street it's in you can tell them to drive to Piazza Sonnino - which is 2 minutes walk away. I'd recommend this place. It's very central and within walking distance to most anything we wanted to see in Rome - in addition to its situation in Trastevere, which is the best nightlife area in Rome. There was some noise from the street, but no more than I'd expect in a city. During our stay the air condition broke down, but the staff were immediately available with help. Breakfast was standard stuff and enough food for filling us up before journeying into the streets. I feel we got what we paid for.

On the Sunday the breakfast did not arrive at the time asked for, i.e. 8.00 a.m. but only at 8.25, and as I was there on business, it was a bit unpleasant.

Very nice area, somehow difficult to find. Room cannot be smaller! Look like a cage...However the service was very friendly and efficient. Having past the first shok of the minimun space of the room, I probably will be back again.

nice small hotel with a/c in trastevere, owner very helpful - we actually stayed at the sister hotel, just round the block, as there is easier parking there difficult to get to in a car through the maze of the one way streets

The location and staff were EXCELLENT - everyone was very helpful and friendly - and its truly a great neighborhood to stay in (we took the train from the airport to Trastevere Station, then the #8 tram to Piazza Sonnino, very easy and cheap way to go!). The hotel is situated right by the river and within easy walking distance of all of the major attractions......great atmosphere at night, with lots of nightlife and restaurants. However, we had a room w/ shared bath in the lobby (right near the front door), so it was a bit noisy at night. Also, the room seemed clean but had kind of a musty smell......breakfast was fine, served in the rooms. We would stay there again if it was an upstairs room with a private bath.

not recommendable!! I have wished via email not to get the room under the roof, when we arrived there was no other room than this avaiable! Then the hotel offered us another room as triple with a higher price of 95€, we accepted, and at the day of departure there was an amount of 110€!!! The towels didn`t change every day! The breakfast is italian style!

Small room with ineffective fan during Rome's hottest June since 1782. Avoid if going to Rome in the summer as the room was uncomfortably - almost unbearably - hot, day and night. In the cooler months I imagine it could be quite cosy but lack of space around the bed for luggage etc will still be an issue as might the TV if you intend to watch it at all(poor reception and very high up on the wall, requiring you to strain your neck from the bed to see it). Superb location in quiet street in Trastevere.

Trastever House is a little off the beaten track, but the effort you put in getting to Trastevere is well worth it. The B&B itself is clean, quiet and tastefully decorated, and the staff are friendly, helpful and extremely welcoming. The one dissapointment was the breakfast cappuccino. Trastevere itself boasts a large number of excellent trattoria and pizzeria and prices in the area are much lower than in the tourist heart of Roma. Trastevere has a village feel, with narrow cobbled streets and small local shops and cafes, and is well worth the 15 minute walk from the colleseum. I would striongly recommend Trastevere House and will certainly be staying there again myself.

Accommodation in the centres of capital cities always compares unfavourably with the rest of the country - their costs are more for one thing. Having chosen to stay in Rome though, this was a good location and perfectly satisfactory for a short stay.

Very, very, very noisy. Several people (10+) were sharing a single shower so it took hours to get out in the morning. However, the neighborhood is good and price is cheap for Rome.

Lovely situation, well-located for all main attractions. Great welcome. Enjoyed the family atmosphere at breakfast with guests sharing large table. Quiet location, but soundproofing between rooms almost non-existent, but building adaptations were going on during our stay. Great value for money.
