Sehr gute zentrale Lage.

I have mixed feelings for this hotel. Some of the employees seems to not be too interested in doing a good job, or not being able to do so (lack of time, not proper guidance etc.). But as the manager asked me at breakfast first day, he was very interested in my comments/complaints and listened carefully to my suggestions. I was also offered another room for the last night. The first room I got was a small, somewhat old single room on 2nd floor, but for the last night, I was moved to a newly refurbished and very spacious twin room on the 5th floor. (Photos attached, sorry for not being able to rotate!) The hotel has potential to become a become a good four star hotel, but at present, there are too many minor errors/mistakes/oversights At present, it seems as two star personnel in a four star building. Positive: very kind page boys, very nice room offered last night, a manager that was very interested in my complaints and suggestions, complementary soft drinks/mineral water in mini-bar. Negative: some of the employees (especially a male receptionist (35-40 years old?)), no air condition in mid-April (not turned on), the room offered for the first two nights being somewhat small and old, maids that did not took too much care (or time available!) for details (e.g. unclean water boiler, litter found). Advise: ask for rooms at the upper floors, as these are the ones refurbished! The hotel is not in a beautiful area, not at all, but very conveniently close to the Termini train station (and metros, buses). Also my favorite restaurant in Rome, "Smeraldo" is just five minutes away in the parallel street (via P. Amedeo 16). Be also aware of the basilica a few minutes away, downhill from the hotel.

The hotel is very very close to the train main station (Rome Termini), by which we just go walking (2 min) to the station and travel to Florance, Pisa, Vinace and other places. a lot of shops resturant and cold stores are around. the location is exvellent. Through the internet we book for a superiar room, when we went there they gave us a different type of romm!! we paid more to get the same room in the photo. Note that the 1st, 2nd and 3rd floor has not been innovated as yet!! and rooms on those floor are not good at all!! The breakfast very nice, but they don't change the buffet; so we ate the same thing for 7 days!!

This was a trip to celebrate my "special" birthday with my husband. We felt the hotel was in a good location for moving about the city. It is in a small back street, but we never felt ill at ease on a night time. Breakfast was good, just what would normally be provided in Italy. The hotel was great, staff very helpful, welcoming drinks provided. Room was clean and in a good state of decor. Safe in room which was free of cost. Area surrounding hotel has lots of small restaurants and all meals were excellent. Would definitely stay again.

As everyone else has commented the breakfast is excellent. Only thing is that they wouldnt give us an iron for safety reasons and offered to do it for us for safety reasons. Then charged us (for safety reasons i guess). The location is excellent but for what you pay I would expect much more a hotel in terms of cleanliness etc.

Buffet breakfast's scrambled eggs were excellent! Returned to hotel late at night and my room's key card had somehow demagnitized -- this was fixed immediately! All hotel staff efficient and courteous. Location so close to train station was wonderful for catching early morning airport train. Good choice for woman traveling alone.

5th floor room are very nice but expensive. But this price just can lived at 6th floor, if we change, we need to plus much much more money on it. So we just give up, and go to the 6th floor. It's a normally room. Breakfast are nice, and location of this hotel is near the Main central with subway and train station.

Firstly the staff were rude and unhelpful and secondly we were robbed by them. On our final night a member of staff broke into our hotel room while we were out eating dinner and stole our camera (ALL of our photos of our trip) and iPods. He refused to let us see the cctv or contact the manager. And then had the cheek to charge us full price when we were checking out. DO NOT stay here.

We visited Rome for the first time and stayed at the Hotel Ariston through the Venere.com site. The kindness and service of the hotel staff was outstanding which was quite different from the uninteresting staff in some of the tourist restaurants The room was spacious and very quite. The location was very convenient to take busses and metros. To be recommended !

Hotel has recently been refurbished to a good modern styling. Some of the rooms are not relly big enough to be a double and we had one of these on the first night. The hotel moved us for our remaining 2 nights to a fantasticly spacious room. The staff were always welcoming and helpful and dealt with our request to move without any fuss. The hotel is ideally placed for all locations.(There is no longer a fitness room at the Hotel)

We stayed at the hotel for almost a week. Very satisfied! Very nice and helpful staff and good breakfast. Just 100 meters from Termini station. Not the best surroundings in the city, but suited us well. We paid 155-175 Euro a night. A bit too much, but hotels in Rome are generally very expensive.

It was the first time that we stayed at the Ariston. The Hotel is very nice, the room was very comfortable as we had the luck to get an Superior Room for the same price as the normal double room. The service was good and the employees were very attentive, helpful and friendly all the time. Only the location near by the main station "Repubblica Termini" is not the nicest as this is always the problem with locations near by main train stations in big cities with its not so nice surroundings and lots of "strange" people.

Very dissapointed in my stay...hotel is not as "designed" as pictures make it look. Check in staff not knowledgeable about Rome. Worst was I had a friend come to visit, they refused him entrance to the hotel...after I came to the lobby and got him...they sent a guard to pound on my door and evacuate him from my room. When questioning the front desk, the manager was very rude and said it was "illegal" to have anyone in my room...HORRIBLY HANDLED...WOULD NEVER SAY HERE AGAIN...FOR $119 EURO A NIGHT I EXPECT BETTER RESPECT...

However, at night, it seemed wiser to take a taxi as the area did not feel very safe. I will definitely go back to this hotel as the service was excellent and the employees accomodating.

This hotel was convenient to the train station, we had 2 triples, since there were 6 of us. Main beds were comfortable, but pullout uncomfortable for our son. Air conditioning not to US standard, air is a bit stuffy. Hallways a bit shabby, breakfast was good. Since we needed to take the train in and out of Rome, it served our purpose.

First of all a great breakfast buffet, plenty of everthing, fresh etc !!! Very close to Termini. You don't have to take a taxi or bus. The single bedroom wasn't very large but that was because I waited too long to make reservations. I could have had a larger single room and cheaper if I had made some reservations sooner then I did now. So I only have to blame myself. Nice cocktailbar. Friendly staff. If you have to check in early or check out late your luggage can be stored savely. Otherwise you have to stand in the cue in Termini station. It isn't the Ritz but you don't pay the Ritzes rates either.
