When we arrived we were met by a very nice young man at reception and he was very helpful.
The Bedroom stunk of stale cigarettes and had ash all over it.
You couldn't swing a cat in the Bedroom,( very small).
The Breakfast was terrible, a very poor range and 90% of the products were very sweet and the Bread was so hard that you could use it to stop your Car rolling on a hill.
All in all it was very poor value for money.

The hotel is not a four star, a three star at best. I have been to Rome several times and stayed at four star hotels and the Champagne Garden is no four star. I've never had to carry my own luggage at a four star. The service at check-in was lukewarm but the overnight staff seemed much happier. Our room was nicely decorated and the a/c was on upon arrival but a closer look had us laughing since we noticed our luggage had taken off some of the styrofoam molding on the walls. Whoops. Only a few streets from Roma Termini train station which is OK if you don't want to spend money on a taxi. An inexpensive enough hotel but don't assume luxury just because of the four star rating.

The best thing about the hotel is the location. It is very close to the Roma Termini station. One can find several good restaurants. We stayed there for only one night. The room was good but the welcoming could be a bit more warm. The breakfast was average. The overall stay was good. The price was reasonable.

Due notazioni:
1. la pulizia del locale servizi non era adeguata (soprattutto il pavimento);
2. ho avuto difficoltà a farmi restituire il documento d'identità (era andato smarrito, sostenevano di avermelo reso e, fortunatamente, l'hanno poi ritrovato).

We were disappointed generally to find what we felt was a 3 star hotel masqeurading as a 4 star. The couple we were travelling with had a strong smell of drains in their room. the breakfasts were disappointing The same cakes, bread rolls croissants for the 3 nights we were there. The last day the rolls had been dampened and warmed up but still tasted stale. Adequate accomodation at reasonable prices but no reason to go again.

Champagne Garden was convenient to the train station and public transportation. Numerous restaurants of varying prices are within walking distance. Hotel is beautifully decorated, had a nice ambience and was clean. The staff was English speaking and very accommodating. It appears the owners were not investing in maintenance as there were some minor repairs that were not being performed. The breakfast was adequate but skimpy for a four star hotel.

We were quite pleased with the hotel-except for the last day of the our stay...the breakfast foods were meager--and only consisted of old croissants and breads. Could be because there were few people in the hotel that day..27th of December? On the other days--the breakfasts were adequate for maybe a 2-3 star hotel...definitely not for a 4 star hotel. There were no hot dishes at all.
Our complements to Venere.com...excellent site.

Everything works great at the Champagne Garden, with one exception - when I arrived in Rome, I found that the Champagne Garden DID NOT have a reservation for me. They were able to fit me in, but evidently, they did not communicate effectively with the Venere reservation system.
