We really enjoyed our stay in Rome and the Hotel Cosmopolita was the perfect location for seeing the sights.

I have been to Rome over a dozen times and have stayed at the Cosmopolita 3 times. It's a very nice hotel in a perfect location - 4 or so blocks from Trevi, the Pantheon, not far from a couple of metro stations - in all perfect. The service is lovely and their is a very nice resturant on the premises that not only serves a great breakfast but has dinners which is great if you are coming in late on a Friday after the first leg of a business trip and you don't want to go out - not that resturants are very far - Bebo's and Abruzzi's are less than a block away.

Hotel is near to a very busy street, but entrance on a quiet side street, pay attention that room is to quiet side. The new Glass House Cafe and restaurant is very nice.

This hotel is definitely a very good value for the money! The rooms are of decent size, spotless, the beds are confortable. The public areas are welcoming. The staff are very nice (specially compared to some otrher experiences I had during my trip). Oh, and something important, in this case complimentary breakfast ir actually a very nice buffet (as opposed to most hotels bread and butter "breakfast". Hotel location is excellent, close to the colloseum, to subway stations and bus stations. Of the 6 hotels I stayed at during my trip, this was the best. One minor grip, When I checked in they didn´t have single rooms available, so I had to unpack, then pack the next day (to change to the type of room I had reserved) and then unpack again, but I was offered a suite the first day, so I guess this is a good way to balance the inconvenience.

Centrally located in Rome to tourist attractions it was a short walk to virtually every tourist location. The hotel's restaurant "The Glass" was excellent. The best meal we had in a 4 week holiday in Italy was at this restaurant. Would stay at this hotel again next time in Rome.

This is the 2nd time I've stayed at this hotel and it was still lovely. It's a GREAT location with very nice facilities. I would absolutely stay here again.

The elevator is completely out of date (much too slow). Would appreciate a second elevator or a faster one. The room was too small. The shower access could be a problem for a fat person.

Hotel Cosmopolita couldn't be in a better place. It is literally in the center of Rome. All the famous historical sights are within walking distance from the hotel! Breakfast hours are from 7:00am to 10:00am. There is a variety of food such as; cereals, fruits, breads, cheeses, meats, drinks, eggs, sausages, pastries, as well as yoghurts. So, you're bound to find something that will soothe the morning hunger. I'm not sure about the other rooms, but the Double Rooms are spacious and comfortable for two people. There is a mini bar which I didn't use because you can get drinks and snacks elsewhere for a lesser price.. You are also provided with robes and slippers to use for the time of your stay. However, they are for keeps unless you want to pay for your own.. There is a TV that can turn into a 'computer'. It's useful if you want to catch up on your emails in the privacy of your own room instead of at an Internet Cafe. The bathrooms have little complimentary soaps, shampoos and tissues which I thought were a nice touch. The staff at the hotel are courteous and polite. If I travel to Rome again, I will definately book here! This is a 4 star hotel.

Not what I expected for the price and based on the website. The rooms are very small, even for central Rome. if you are more than about 6ft or 200lbs you will not fit in the shower. The internet only worked on the roof and the cable was out when I was there. While they advertise themselves as a business and tourism hotel I wouldn't recommend coming here for business. Staff were not helpful and had a bit of an attitude. Their response to requests for fixing problems was "talk to the manager, but he won't be here until Monday" (this was Saturday). This was also the same response to requests to use their advertised laundry service - the laundry staff will return on Monday. This was unacceptable for the price and for a 4 star - I stayed in several other 4 stars in Italy (and 1 other in Rome) on this trip and found them to be much more agreeable. While the location was perfect the poor service and lack of a proper shower will lead me to stay at one of the many other hotels with just as nice locations and sometimes better prices.

the location of this hotel is perfect. It is within walking distance of all the important sights and close walking distance to the subway. The staff is very helpful since we always need help especially with directions. The restaurant was excellent and the roof garden view was spectacular. The breakfast was definitely above average and was open from 7- 10:30am. Rooms were spacious and both of our rooms had nice views of the busy street below. Bathrooms were tight but that is expected in Europe!

absolutley fantastic location -- 15 min walk to most sites within the city (remember that the Vatican is across the river); great value for the money.

The location of this hotel is EXCELLENT. It is in easy walking distance to the Colloseum, Trevi, the Metro, and the Pantheon. The service was fabulous, the resturant for a late, quick dinner as well as breakfast was lovely. I would absolutely stay here again!

The hotel is very well located, but the hotel staff was unpleasant and abrupt. The breakfast room was too small for the number of guests (in the off-season). The bar had just reopened and could not accept room charges and credit cards. The room and bathroom were much too small and too hot. Parkins was inconvenient and service non-existent.

For a tourist trip to Rome this is a ideally located hotel being in easy walking distance of all main sites and with excellent access to main bus routes. Hotel staff were very friendly and would have no problem recommending this hotel.

Superb hotel. First contact with hotel came when we called to check if they had a triple room - Stefania (person working in reservations) was very courteous and helpful and confirmed that they did. She also did as promised and put us in a spacious quiet room when we arrived. Room was spotless and looked like it had just been redone. Had Sky TV which came in handy because of the poor weather. Location was great - right next to massive Piazza Venizzia and the Colloseum as well as the shopping on Via Del Corso. Concierge was also extremely friendly and recommended a number of good restaurants/places to go. Only minor gripe was breakfast - just not that much choice available and not up to standard for a 4 * hotel I thought. Overall though, I wouldn't hestitate for a second to stay there again.

I will never stay in this Hotel... the was no flatiron for clothing and when I asked the front desk, they said they didn't have one because people burn the sheets.. there was no 110 electricity adaptor... the front desk was rude and never wanted to help with anything. I had to buy a 220 to 110 adaptor on my own.

Not the most claustrophobic hotel I've experienced in my life but close to it. No room service after 11pm (want some hot tea in your room after a rainy day in Rome? forget it!), bar is closed after 11pm too, but the receptionist was kind and made me a cup of hot water (this is 50ml or so, should I say when I have finally brought it into my room it was half-empty half-hot).... in overall, too little (or too much..) for 120 euro/off-season... Breakfast was good though.

the room is not incredibly large, but sufficient for two people. The bathroom is a bit crowded, but very clean and well maintained. The location is ideal for tourists. Centrally located to all major sights by foot. Breakfast was great, and rooftop lounge was fantastic.

Fantastic location, steps from the Piazza Venezia, and terrifically helpful staff. On the other hand, the hotel rooms seem to have been randomly cut together from some older building -- my room would have been a nice size, if it had been one space, rather than a small bedroom and -- like I needed this -- an entry hallway. Claustrophobic.

Totally refurbished hotel in a quiet street a few steps away from Piazza Venezia, an ideal location for visiting the city. Sky TV, efficient and independent air conditioning, cristal clear (and brand new) bathroom, very good international breakfast; hard to beat for the price!

A very nice hotel in a very central location. It is very close to Colisseo, Forum, Pantheon, Trevi and Piazza Novona which is great place to spend evenings at. I enjoyed having a room facing the back as it was very quiet. The rooftop terrace was very nice, it was fun to converse with my fellow travellers each day.

It is always a bit of a lottery booking hotels on the internet, but The Cosmopolita lived up to our expectations in terms of location and cleanliness. Although just off a very busy road and our room overlooking that road, it was surprisingly quiet. The bedroom was large enough and tastefully decorated but the bathroom was very narrow and therefore not great for sharing! Breakfast was lovely with lots of choice and friendly staff. Location wise the hotel is just a 5 min walk from the Trevi Fountain, the Fora and an array of shops. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

The perfect location ( 1 km from the principal points of interest) and the beauty of the building make this hotel the most appropriate place to stay in Rome. No doubt, I will definitely choose it again next time in Rome.

The hotel was as described on the web page and we were delighted with it. We were a bit apprenhensive at first as we had booked a triple room for ourselves and 16 year old daughter and thought it may be cramped with the third bed being a camp bed but the room was huge with a big double and single bed. The staff were friendly and helpful and we were surprised on my husbands birthday when they left two small bottles of "bubbly" in the room. I would definately stay there again.

Hotel Cosmopolita was terrific! It was a great location, just off Piazza Venezia, and walking distance to just about anything you might want to see in Rome. The front desk staff was very helpful. Breakfast was extensive and quite tasty. Rooftop garden was nice; I wish I had more time to spend at the hotel. I had reserved a single room and was pleasantly surprised at how spacious it was. I would definitely stay her again.

The hotel was beautifully decorated. The breakfast that was included was very good and had a lot of variety. The roof top snack bar and lounge were very nice. The service was great. On top of all of that, it was very conveniently located and we were able to walk all over Rome.

We rented 3 rooms, 1 double and 2 singles. The double room was very good, but the two singles were very samll and narrow and rather dark. If it was not in Rome, where you can spend most of the time outside, it is very little space, you have for yourself!

A clean, well-run hotel in a central location. No formal restaurant but plenty in walking distance, although light meals available on the roof top bar – a must for drinks before going out for the evening or finishing off the day. All the major attractions are within walking distance. From airport, get the train to the Termini and then taxi (four plus luggage approx 9 Euros).

Overall services and accomodation quality is pretty good. The view from the room is excellent. The location of the hotel is wonderful which very close to the main sightseeing and shopping area. But the only one thing is the reception old guy in night shift is very impolite that makes me feel upset. But others are very good and speaks very good English.

We had a great stay at Cosmopolita Hotel! Staff was very friendly and helpful. Our standard room was spacious and very clean. The shower in the bathroom was a little small. The hotel offered a great selection for breakfast with an incredible cappuccino. Terrace on the roof is enclosed with air conditioning on warm afternoons, great views! Location is excellent, we were a short walk away from all landmarks. We will definitely stay at the Cosmopolita Hotel next time we visit Rome! The only thing that bothered us was seeing some walls spackled in preparation for painting.

The room was beautiful, but the A/C did not keep the room cool. The porter and two front desk clerks were very nice and helpful. However, the day-time desk clerk was rude and impatient. We had to leave early for a tour. The evening clerk told us to go up to breakfast a little early. The next morning the day clerk initially would not let us. He finally conceded, but was openly annoyed. Also, I needed to buy water from the bar, the day clerk was standing there doing nothing, but he would not help me. He called upstairs and made the woman setting up for breakfast run down stairs to sell me the water. There are other incidents, but you get the idea. It's important for people to feel comfortable when they stay in a hotel. The day-time front desk clerk made us very uncomfortable. The location was good for accessing transportation.

I think the hotel is great for its location and quality of the rooms. The breakfast was also substantial. What I did not like was the fact that I had to make an early morning flight to the airport and was unable to obtain assistance with my luggage. The concierge advised me that because he was the only person working in the early morning, that I would have to carry my own bags down from my room. They were quite heavy and I was annoyed. The hotel should always have someone available to help, especially if it is a 4 star hotel. The second thing I did not like was that it was very obvious that room rates could be negotiated. While I was at the front desk, people were bargaining regarding the rates, and were successful. It sort of makes you wonder if you really are getting a good deal! Other than that, my experience was very positive.

This hotel is superb and we would certainly stay there again if visiting Rome. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room we had (for a couple with a teenager) was spacious (compared to London/New York hotels) spotlessly clean and warm for a February visit. I was dubious when, on our first day, the receptionist apologised for putting through my credit card for one night's stay by mistake when running a check on it, but the total cost of my stay did not leave my bank account until five days after arriving back in the UK.Hotel in good position for visiting all attractions and there are a number of reasonably priced restaurants in the vicinty.
