B&H Waldorf was a great choice for us in Rome. It was cheap and easily accessible by the metro. The hotel staff were very welcoming and provided luggage storage, dinner recommendations, and tourist advice. The biggest downside was location. It is located outside of the city and wasn't on our map - we ended up having to ask directions on the street to figure out where exactly it was.

We were a group of middle aged friends travelling to Rome for the first time. We had a little trouble finding the hotel from teh metro station but once there we found most things to our liking. The breakfasts were good and it was nice to be able to take a coffee to the courtyard. The staff were always helpful and although the rooms weren't enormous they were comfortable enough. We had a nice meal at a Trattoria down near the metro. It was quite good to be away from the hustle and bustle of the main tourist areas, but the early closing of the metro (9pm) was a bit limiting.

The hotel has an ideal location just a few minutes' walk from the metro line A. The only inconvenice at the time of our stay was that the metro didn't run at night due to construction work, so we had to resort to a rather complicated bus service. We advice people to buy a map of the bus lines in Rome.
We were welcomed in a rather mechancial, unpersonal way at the front desk, but later the tone changed and we were well taken care of. An example is that the remote control of the tv was rapidly fixed when we told them about the problem.
The rooms were nice and quiet, but not spacious. We found the breakfast to be above average for Italy.
One final warning, not about the hotel, but public transport: We had a wallet stolen on a bus one night. It was kept in the front pocket of a shorts, but somehow a pick-pocket had managed to get a hand on it. Don't bring anything with you that you don't absolutely need. Stick a credit card, an ID document and some cash in our shirt pocket and leave everything else in the safe at the hotel room.

The hotel is very nice and clean. Our room was big enough and the bathroom was sufficiently large and very clean.
The hotel is only 3 tube stops away from the Vatican and very close to the tube station.
I have been informed, (but did not try) that if you plan to stay late at night in the city center, you have to consider taking a cab, because the night bus is not always in time and not easy to find.

I was very upset because i was given a very small room and next to the lift. Everytime the lift was used, event late at night we could hear it working. The room was very small, and the wardrobe was nearly inexistent. On the other hand the bathroom was very very very spacious. the hotel is quite near the metro, but as soon as i arrived, it was very difficlut to figure out in which direction i had to go. maybe some signs would help

while the hotel was located in a residential area and a ways from the sights, it proved a quiet sanctuary from a busy day of siteseeing. the hotel staff was a hit and a miss. some were very helpful while others were almost rude. no major worries.

the room was worth the money we paid for it although we were able to hear the conversations of our next door neighbor. the hotel is conveniently located near the bus and train station although it's a bit far from the touristy places we'd like to visit. it would have been great if the front desk staff were more informed of the bus schedules and routes. a bus route map would have been very helpful.

I would stay here again the next time I'm in Rome. By far the nicest of the three hotels I stayed at, and not nearly the most expensive. It's a little out of the way of some sights, but there is bus and metro services close by. The staff was wonderful and the hotel was lovely! Even though I had only a single room I still had a balcony, and a lovely bathroom. The air conditioning worked perfectly. It was a wonderful stay and I would recommend it to anyone!
