The newly renovated Hotel Astali is situated in the heart of the town of Rethymno, on the northern coast of Crete, 100 metres away from the beach and the waterfront promenade, within short walking distance of the harbour and the picturesque Old Town centre, with its quaint shops, typical taverns and bars.

    Our stay was very pleasant, with a welcoming and helpful staff. There was some noise from the street, but this is only to be expected, and it was in any case minimised by the combination of well sealing windows/air conditioning.

    This has to be one of the friendliest and most pleasant Hotels I have ever stayed in. The family run Hotel staff are very accomodating and you really couldn't make a better choice. The location is very good, the rooms are cleaned and towels changed every day. This is my second visit and many people return year after year.

    HOW TO REACH THE HOTEL
    By car
    Heraklion international airport is located 88 km (54.6 miles) away from the hotel. On leaving the airport, take the first exit to the right following the indications to Heraklion city centre. Follow this direction for approximately 2 km (1.2 miles) and then take the motorway 90 Heraklion-Chania, heading towards the city of Chania. Exit the motorway at Rethymno and follow the indications to the sea front promenade.

    Chania airport is located 75 km (46.4 miles) away from the hotel. On leaving the airport, take the motorway 90 Heraklion-Chania, heading towards the city of Heraklion. Exit the motorway at Rethymno and follow the indications to the sea front promenade.

    By airplane
    The Heraklion Nikos Kazantzakis international airport hosts daily flights serving various locations. A frequent bus service provides easy connection with Heraklion city centre and with Rethymno (line Heraklion-Chania). The bus stops within walking distance of the hotel. Taxi service is available from the airport.

    By boat
    There are daily ferry and high-speed ferry services connecting the Athens port of Piraeus to the harbours of Heraklion, Chania and Rethymno. Taxis are easily found at the end of the wharf.

    METHODS OF PAYMENT
    Venere.com does not debit your credit card for your reservations. You will be asked to insert your credit card details which will be sent to the property only as a guarantee of the reservation. The bill will then have to be settled directly at the hotel. In case your chosen hotel needs a deposit, this information will be included in the "Cancellation policy" section and the deposit will have to be settled directly with the pre-selected property. You cannot cancel your reservation if you selected and booked a non refundable or prepaid rate.

    Check-in: the rooms are available at any time after 1 p.m.
    Check-out: it is necessary to leave the rooms not later than midday.

    CANCELLATION POLICY
    Over 20 days prior to arrival date, there is no charge. Over 7 days prior to arrival date the charge is 50% of the amount. Over 3 days prior to arrival date the charge is 100% of the amount.
    You may cancel your reservation without penalty up until 20 days before your arrival date, by accessing the Your Reservations page. You cannot cancel your reservation if you selected and booked a non refundable or prepaid rate.
