The hotel was renovated in 2000 and has 261 rooms on its 13 floors. All the rooms have piped-in music, colour and satellite TV, Canal +, direct dial telephone, a safe deposit box and a complete marble bathroom with a hair dryer.

we expected that in holiday resort like this people at the reception of a 4**** hotel should speak at least *good* English. In fact, some did not, knowing just few english words. But that would not be that big problem. Our major concern was, that we were asked to pay at the arrival, unlike what Venere stated ! (without some kind welcoming words). We said Ok, but as my card did not work in their swipe machine, the lady at the reception wanted to make a photocopy of my card (!),which I did not allow. My understanding was the hotel has already my Card details and they will simply charge it,and I tried to explain this, which was difficult. Perhaps there must be some misunderstanding between the hotel and Venere ? How else could then the hotel charge me a "fine" - 1 night, in case 1)we would not show up at all or 2)wanted to cancel the reservation less then 48 hours before the first day of stay ? (as is in the T&C on Venere website) This could make booking through Venere reckless: booking,coming to place,and if not liking it, simply walking away to other hotel without a fear that you will be charged some fee? *I sincerely apologize if I'm missing here something.* And maybe after this initial misunderstanding, the lady forgot to tell us then more details about the hotel, about the facilities,the restaurant etc. We asked afterwards another member of staff, who luckily spoke good english.
Other than this all was fine, we can recommend this hotel.

Although I requested it several times, I did not get a receipt upon payment. I need this for refunding, because I was there for work.
The rooms in the back of the hotel are extremely noicy, but the staff moved me the next day to the other side of the hotel, which was very good.

The hotel was perfectly placed near the salt-water pools, "town-center" and restaurants and had an excellent breakfast. First we got a room without balcony,but they did what they could and after two days we could change to a room with balcony and sea-view, which was perferct for us for the next 5 days. Nice and polite staff. Nice with the show they are having every evening, even though they were of different quality. English-speaking could have been better.Very good value for money. Hopefully we will visit Puerto de la Cruz and Las Vegas next year.
