Small and nice hotel located in a residential area with modern rooms. Friendly people, great breakfast buffet, quiet surroundings (except from a barking dog). Far outside the town center, 15 minutes to drive with the metro. Imho, I would rate it as a good 3 star (not 4 star) hotel. The sauna and fitness room are not worth to mention (it's rather a storage closet).

The Hotel had no lift, which was ok, but the stairway we were directed to had no hand rail. My wife is handicapped but can walk and can climb limited stairs. The real problem was that everything was a long distance from the hotel including restaurants, bars, train, metro, and any kind of shops. The hotel is in a residental/hotel area. We left and moved to a beter located hotel which also had a lift.
The people were very nice and the hotel was not bad otherwise.

The room was generaly OK, but it is surely not **** hotel, maximum ***, family garni.
I had several inconviniences:
The hotel is much farer from the city than the map showed. The taxi driver stopped 3 times to check the map because this hotel is in the middle of a residential area, it was difficult even for him to find. I missed the flygt, and arrived app. at midnight. The receptionist (later turned out that she was the owner)was very rude, and first did not want to give the room, because of the late arrival. Against this behaviour 3 hours erlier (21.46 the actual date) they already started the preauthorisation of the transfer from my bank account based of my bank card data (according to venere, they can not use the data of my card to tarnsfer, even at the date of the arrival) and separated the total amount (I got an SMS already at the airport about the started transaction)!!! It was very difficult to get the room and had to debate on it hard! In the morning the "lady" continued his unpolite behaviour with debating about the transaction, and at the end against my previous need to pay cash completed the transaction!
Fortunately the room was clean and ok (acc. to the *** category), I also had problem with the breakfast (it was buffet, with poor dishes, no problem with the service).
I suggest to everyone NEVER STAY IN THIS GARNI!!!

Excellent value. Metro is a 10 minute walk through a very nice and quiet neighborhood. The breakfasts in the morning were fantastic, and the service provided by the staff was excellent. The staff was very nice and was happy to answer any questions and offer suggestions for places to visit. I wouldn't think of staying anywhere else the next time I travel to Prague.

We were very pleased with the quality and helpfulness of the staff. There is nothing they could have done that they didn't do in assuring we had an enjoyable stay. The one thing I would have done differently is to have called for directions from the Train Station. It would have saved us lots of walking upon our arrival and could have been prevented by a simple phone call. Avoid Taxis, Metro is easier than any I have ever been on and very inexpensive. I would definitely stay at Hotel Pohoda Garni again.

Pohoda Garni is a top notch quality hotel. It is located a ways out of the town center in a surburban/industrial area, but is very near a metro stop. Our room was small, but impeccably furnished. The staff was very kind and helpful. Great breakfast! A good choice.

Without any further map the location is a bit hard to find. In my opinon the description in the internet is not really helpful. I would say its about 800 meters from subway station Skalka, not 300 meters.
The service is very friendly and multilingual (English, German, Czech,...). Room and bathroom was very clean, fresh towels and made beds every day. There is a hairdryer in the bathroom!
Sometimes in the night you can hear the neighbours talking, I think the walls are a bit thin but all in all its a rather quiet place in a quiet street and nice sourrounding.
Breakfast is included in the price and is very good although bread was always a bit dry.
Generally I would go there again and I would recommend it because of the good price/quality relationship!

We stayed for two nights in this hotel, and found the receptionest to be lovely, extremely friendly and helpful. Upon our arrival, she provided all the information we could hope for, maps, train directions etc, and she continued to be helpful during the entire visit.
The hotel has gym facilities, and a suana, as well as having free wifi within hotel rooms, which was very fast, and a great help while we were travelling.
The hotel whilst not located within central prague, was only a 5-10 minute walk from the train station, with the train trip then taking another 10 minutes. Whilst the neighbourhood was not fantastic, at no time were we scared, and if we were to return to Prague I would have no hesitation in staying at this hotel again.

A VERY CLEAN,NICE,SMALL,FRIENDLY HOTEL ALITTLE BIT FAR AWAY FROM THEB PRAGUE CENTER.
DOESN NOT EXISTE LOBY AND RESEPTION (JUST A VERY SMALL DESK).THE ROOMS ARE QUITE, CLEAN AND WITH ENOUGH COMFORTS.TO GO TO THE CENTER HAVE TO DRIVE BY METRO ALMOST 30 MIN. BUT THIS IS QUITE NORMAL FOR PRAGUE IF SOMEBODY WANTS SOMETHING QUITE AND CHEEP.
NICE BREAKFAST. THERE IS NO ELEVATOR.
THE OWNERS VERY FRIENDLY AND FOOL OF UNDERSTANDING.

I was very desapointed with the location on the map and the real location of the hotel. The hotel is very, very far from the where it is located on the venere map.
When I asked the hotel owner to correct it on venere they did not care or pay any attention.

This hotel was clean and spotless, basic rooms. Staff was very friendly and helpful, they let us check in early, and leave our bags with them after checkout time. Good location with a short walk to the metro, and about a 20 minute ride to the city center. Prague metro is excellent and it was easy getting to and from the hotel. Nice quiet neighborhood in a Prague suburb, we were commuting with the locals. Would definitely recommend, and would return here again.
