Our reviews of the Paradiso are mixed. We found the location delightful, nestled on a hillside w/ nice ocean views. Very, very steep, hilly walks around the property. Wonderful outdoor bar area. Hotel is located in a quiet, secluded area on Elba off the beaten path. You'll need to rent a car if you want to do anything. The staff was mostly unfriendly and impersonal. A few of the men (our waiter, and the front desk manager) were actually rude and cold. Our room included half board, and the food was ok, but selection very limited, and ambience of the dining room was cafeteria-like. No outdoor eating for dinners. Rooms were clean, very tiny. Rooms are grouped in clusters of 4-6 little houses. Our neighbors were very loud.
