I think this is probably a fine place to stay during the summer - although I am sure it is very loud. However, in February the street the leads up to the hotel is dark and not safe. As a solo woman traveler I had men stopping in their car to talk to me, and honking as they passes. It was constant and made me feel very unsafe. However, the staff was very nice and I felt safe once I was inside. The old part of Pompei is very cool and worth seeing. However, if you can help it, I would not recommend spending the night in the city. It is not very pretty or welcoming.

We liked our room as it was very spacious and the location of the hotel to the ruins is excellent. However our room was full of mosquitoes and they were dead and smashed all over the walls and everywhere. The ones that were alive were flying everywhere. The lady at the front desk was very rude and more interested in her soap opera on Tv than checking us in. After a long day on the road a rude receptionist we did not need. We came down later to ask about breakfast because she did not have time to tell us.

The main advantage of the hotel is its situation, Pompei Ruins are very close. You can walk to them and it takes no more than 10 minutes. The hotel has a great swimming pool and its staff are very nice. The rooms are aceptable, they could be better, but they are clean. If you want to visit the Pompei Ruins, I pretty recommend this hotel.

The location was great - 5 minute walk to entrance of Pompei Ruins. It was very hard to find - we stopped someone on a vespa to take us there. Could use better signs from highway. Pool was great bonus!! Staff was not very friendly or welcoming. The restaurant on premises was very good - only issue was limited hours it was open. The owner was very friendly - personally gave all guests watermelon at poolside. Air conditioning did not work very well (by American standards).

The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Even though they claimed their English wasn't very good, they did an excellent job communicating with us. No complaints about the hotel - rooms were the most spacious in our travel throughout Europe, very clean, good breakfast included. Not sure if the site mentions it, but the hotel is VERY conveniently located to the Pompeii Archeological site (we recommended walking downhill to one of the first main entrances, exploring the site and finishing at Villa dei Misteries on the site map because it places you within a short, mostly downhill walk to the hotel). Very easy to get to the hotel IF you change to the local train at the main Pompeii train station because there is a Villa dei Misteri stop...within one mile of the hotel (we didn't find that out until we had walked from the main Pompeii station). Should we ever visit Pompeii again, we would definitely check into staying at this hotel because it was convenient, clean and seemed very safe.

Could use better signage for the road, missed the turn. Very nice staff, clerk helped me call my family in calabria. She was very patient with my zia as they had a hard time communicating. Pool was being worked on. Breakfast was good and lots of it. Wait staff was great. Nice parking and close to ruins.

Very convenient because of location to the Pompei ruins, available a walking distances. Our only draw back was the fact that the swimming pool was not available although the weather was extremely warm. For the rest the hotel is good for the price (including a buffet breakfast)and the rooms are clean.

Family owned, a friendly staff, well located next to the scavi, with beautiful inlaid marble and granite floors, bath, a spacious and comfortable room with a great breakfast including very tasty home-made marmalade and a great selection of meats and tasty foods to start the day. I can't say enough good things about the owner and his staff who made sure my stay was pleasant. The Villa rates more than a 2 star in my book!

Wait servers in the restaurant were below standard, deciding what parts of our order they thought should be served (I kid you not). No wait staff understood any English at all. In a hotel/restaurant serving an international clientale, some English, related to menu and service, should be required. Location to the Pompeii ruins was great and for that it is just fine.

We used this as our last stop before flying out from Naples the next morning. It was a good base to explore the ruins - only 300m down the road - however, the area is a bit seedy! There are no frills here - you get what you pay for and you have to pay extra for the air conditioning.

l'hotel è molto più bello dal vivo che sulle foto, gli impiegati molto gentili e competenti, la stanza e il bagno puliti e spaziosi, la colazione ottima

This place is great. It is the only hotel which is right at the entrance of the ruines. There is a nice swimming pool and the room was nice, especially the bathroom. The service was very good, they even had a little late time snack for us next to the pool around 10pm. Fruits and punch were available for free. There is no doubt I recommend this hotel to anybody going to visit the ruins. The price/quality ratio is excellent and so accessible.

I can't fault this hotel. The staff were without exception friendly and helpful, the rooms had balconies, the pool and surrounding area were great, even the evening meal and breakfasts were excellent. The location is perfect for everything from Naples to the Amalfi coast, and Pompeii Scavi is right across the street. My family (wife, 3 kids 8, 13 &16) and I would love to go again.

A bit tricky to find even though we knew it was going to be tricky. The hotel's pools was a great especially since the day temperature was in the 90's. A must stay if you have kids. Located in walking distance from the ruins was a plus. Staff was wonderful and helped us call the US "even during the World Cup". We will defintely stay again if in Pompei!

After some hectic days in Rome we went to see Pompei. Tired, we arrived at the hotel with a beautiful pool where we spent the afternoon. The dinner was really good, traditional food cooked with a lot of love, and so was the breakfast.

Lovely hotel/B&B. Excellent location for walking to the ruins. The best breakfast we were served in our tour of Italy. The room key must be inserted into a slot to turn the lights on. The pool is heated by the sun. It wasn't warm enough to swim during our stay but very nice to sit around. We didn't realize there was a restaurant on the property. It's somewhat secluded. Both rooms we booked had lovely balconies.

A very nice hotel with good parking close to the ruins. Very good value for money. The map to find the hotel needs to be clearer.

Accommodations were very adequate. Room was clean. People were very helpful in figuring out train schedules and providing information about Pompei Scavi.

All in all it was a cheap hotel and one shoudn't expect more. Walls are paperthin and I wouldn't want to stay in the hotel when it is fully booked. We booked B&B for 2 nights. We didn't join breakfast because it was served only from 8.30 to 9.30. At 10.30 we asked if we could get just a cappuccino instead. When checking out we had to pay for this cup! (Which we had instead of 2 breakfasts!!). I find this is ridiculous and shows the level of the hotel. Location is good, one can walk to the historical scene of Pompei and parking is free. But we wouldn't stay again.

Motel très agréable, la piscine doit être très agreable en été; proche de la gare de Pompéi scavi et proche de l'entrée des ruines.Idéal pour visiter la ville romaine mais un peu loin de la ville moderne,(1 km 1/2). Accueil sympathique.

We had a good time in Villa dei Mysterii. It is really a good choice for visiting Pompei ruins. The only point that might be ameliorated is the breakfast. We like to have a bit more than just bread, jam and a beverage. This is allright for a cost of 5.5€ but it would be great to have the possibility of having some extras (of course with extra costs).

The hotel is well worth the price and is in an excellent place for seeing the ancient city. The hotel is also exactly as the pictures show, no hidden surprises. The local detailed map is also useful though it could show a bit more area and include a few more street names. Be forewarned, Via Villa dei Misteri is not well marked. Just as you turn off of SS18 the entrance to the A3 autostrade is on the left and a campground is on the right. Via Villa dei Misteri is the small road that seems to turn left and go behind the autostrade toll booths. For those coming in by train be aware that Pompei has at least two stations. The main one is in town about 2 km away.
