I told them when I checked in that I had a 7:00 a.m. flight out and could I have something for breakfast -- any drink or piece of fruit or biscuits? The next morning -- NOTHING! I asked for a discount since I wasn't getting breakfast -- no discount. That night I couldn't get the TV to work. Batteries fell out of remote control as there was no back on it. Tried front desk and no one could come up to the room at 10:00 at night to get my TV to work. I finally figured it out using scotch tape to hold in the batteries, but could never get CNN which your brouchure said they had. Night help was totally not helpful! Elevator turned off and couldn't get luaggage down in the morning. Had to hand carry it. Rang bell for 5 minutes before someone came out to check out. Internet promised a airport shuttle but none existed -- had to call a taxi. Room WAS SO SMALL -- couldn't open door when suitcase was open. I WOULD NEVER STAY AT THAT HOTEL AGAIN! I've been to PISA four other times and thought I'd try a new hotel. I will stay at the Hotel Del Duomo. I checked in at 2:00 a.m. there and the staff was so helpful with every thing I requested.

Just a bit disappointed about breakfast. One may expect coffee or cappuccino from a proper coffee maker, and yoghurt for breakfast. Room was noisy. But personnel was very kind.Overall good value for money.

Really close to the pisa tower which was important to us since we were there only for 2 nights. This proximity allowed us to come back to the hotel quite often during the day to rest. It was myself (mom) and my 2 kids (12 and 8). The room was spacious and with a private bathroom which were OK overall. The welcoming was really bad, the man didnt smile, or say welcome or anything. He even looked surprised when we arrived at 11PM saying we had a reservation...and just handed in the keys without any explanation of the hotel facilities, or breakfast times or anything. Breakfast is good, croissants, bread, cereal, coffee machine. The elevator was not working the second day and we were on the 3 floor which was kind of annoying. Only 1 person in the whole hotel was really nice: long hair guy who I think was the only was that spoke english, he was really nice and helpful and he was the only one that was concerned about the elevator not working.

Nothing basically wrong, staff is very nice and helpful.
But the general decoration is poor and without character and rooms are particularly small.
let say that for a 3 stars rated hotel there is much better in Italy...

This is a great hotel to stay at if visiting Pisa. It is a very short walk to the leaning tower. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in Pisa.

Great Pizzeria (best I've ever had) a little place on the left hand side of the Via Luigi Bianchi (50 meters from intersection with Via Contessa Matilde/Via de Brennaro) about 7 minutes walk NNE of the hotel...sorry don't have name but the hotel could tell you.

To reach the Hotel by car was a nightmare as a result of one-way streets and city- walled location. Replies to requests for help and directions on the telephone (Fluent Italian spoken by guest) were ineffectual.
The staff (and ourselves) were less than enchanted by British/Irish tourists visiting Pisa for cheap alcohol.

We booked a quad room for ourselves and two children. What we received was clearly just a double, with a couple of folding beds wheeled in - and barely room to walk between them. The room was clean but very shabby with peeling paint, and overlooking a building site. The bathroom was fine with a good size shower and lots of fresh towels. The breakfast was OK, rolls croissants etc, but the coffee was from a push-button machine, poor quality and not hot. For Euro 160, di Stefano was very poor value for money.
However the hotel is in a perfect location, in a quiet street but very close to the leaning tower and cathedral, and a short walk in the other direction to Pisa's main shopping street and the wonderful produce market.
We had excellent, well-priced food all over Pisa and ate twice at Vesuvio across the street from di Stefano. Excellent pasta and pizza, pleasant and fast service.

I was traveling with my wife.
Hotel staff friendly and gave very good directions. Recommended a restruant that was close and served great food.
Our room was a little loud but not excessively so.
I would stay here again.

The front staff were not friendly, the older fellow and his wife in particular. The cost of the room was over priced and the breakfast was a let down. We were chatting with a couple who had done alot of travelling and they also had comments on the unfriendliness of the staff.

This was the first time I stayed at this hotel and I found it well located for all the tourist sights in Pisa. The staff were also helpful when ordering cabs to the airport very early in the morning

The room we've got was relative close and dark (also very lowly illumination), but the location in the town of Pisa is quiet good.
The breakfast service could be improved. Car parking costs almost half of the rate for a person (why?).

Poor quality hotel but close to centre. This hotel would ordinarly rate as a '1 star'. Loads of building and noise going in front of the hotel..street is so narrow I could have offered the builders a cup of tea from my room window.. at 7am! I had a single room and bed was one of narrowest I had ever slept in - it was scary as there was a big drop to the tiled floor below.
Pisa was a disappointment. Boring small town with only the attraction of the Leaning Tower. Restaurants, shops and on the streets were unfriendly and the locals seemed genuinely tired of tourists - in contrast to my experiences in my frequent visits to Italy. Non riturno di piu in Pisa

The hotel is in a pretty good location, a 5 minute walk from the Tower. the room was clean (and small) as was the (separate) bathroom. I needed to leave for the airport at 5:45 am, so the shuttle service was *not* available. Also, the otherwise helpful receptionist CALLED the taxi at 5:45 am, rather than arranging, the night before, for a taxi to BE THERE at 5:45 AM. This made for a somewhat stressful and rather close call at the airport. The room was quite noisy because of the night life outside. If you need to sleep on a weekend, ask for a room facing away from the street. I didn't see an air conditioner in the room, but it was comfortable enough. The receptionist spoke english well enough. overall, it worked out fine.

The noisiest hotel ever! We could hear people blowing their noses in the shower in the rooms surrounding us. The breakfast was terrible, a stale pastry with jam served by a girl who clearly didn't want to be there. The only saving grace was the young guy who picked us up and dropped us back at the airport. Worst hotel of our trip, top 5 worst ever.

The hotel was close to everything we wanted to see in Pisa and the reception staff very helpful. We had been allocated 2 double rooms and they gave the children a room with twin beds as soon as we arrived. However I am unsure how it is graded as 3 star in comparison to other 3 stars we have stayed in in Italy. The childrens room was really small with a terrible smell. Our double room was very basic and overlooking the main street so very noisy. The breakfast was poor. However the hotel was clean. I am pleased we were only staying 1 night.

The location of this hotel in respect of the Leaning Tower is excellent. However, our room was not very clean. The bath still had hairs in it (yuk!). The shower did not work properly - boiling hot or freezing cold only. There were several bulbs missing from the lamps and light fittings in the room. All in all the hotel is a little shabby and dated. There is clearly not a comprehensive maintenance or cleaning schedule. However, the location is excellent and the breakfast was good. Younger staff were friendly and helpful. I thought it was a little overpriced.

impossible to sleep in the rooms along the little street, window so thin that you can follow any conversation in the street : italian people speak loudly it's true but the hotel windows should really be renovated. Breakfast room far too small for the number of rooms but good location in the center of Pise

We really enjoyed our stay in Pisa, and the location of this hotel is excellent for both local sights and day trips. The quality of service really depended on who was at the front desk. The young man who checked us in was very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The older man who checked us out was just the opposite and watched us struggle out the front door with our luggage! We used the parking service because our time was limited and we did not want to hassle with parking. It was expensive (like New York or Boston), but very prompt, and we really appreciated it. The rooms were clean and comfortable. There was a construction sight below our window, but there was nothing going on the weekend we were there. With the windows closed most of the time (April), it was very quiet. The roof terrace would be a really nice spot in warmer weather. Breakfast was adequate, but some fruit would have been nice. Overall, we enjoyed being at this hotel and would recommend it to other people going to Pisa.

We had a very nice stay and enjoyed the hotel. They were very helpful and directed us to a very good restaurant within walking distance. They were very helpful when I discovered I had left my mobile phone in the restuarant and tried to get it before we left and they even went round to see if it was open but as it was not and we had to go to the airport said they would mail it to us and I am sure they will a first class service than you.

The Di Stefano provides exactly what it says - accommodation which is clean and comfortable, with a standard breakfast and helpful staff. We arrived late at night, but someone stayed up to welcome us and also gave us a lot of helpful advice for our trip. We were able to park right outside the door for 8 euros. And it's also a very easy walk to the Leaning Tower.
A map outlining how to reach the hotel with the one way system on it would have been a help.

A clean friendly hotel. Reception staff very helpful. Lift is a bit tight if you have broad shoulders and big bag! Lovely view if the Tower from the roof terrace. Breakfast adequate - coffee excellent. Unfortunately, lots of building going on around about ( and scooters!) and the windows/shutters didn't keep much noise out. Reception apologised, and got the banging stopped at 7.30p.m. Probably would stay again.

We had a triple room which was fine for our short stay but it was a bit narrow for 3 people. The towels were not as expected. They were like very large tea towels and too thin.
But the breakfast made up for it all. Superb!!

Di Stefano was certainly acceptable but not great. The room's window opened onto a light well where contruction work was taking place, so you couldn't have had an afternoon nap there. And not much fresh air and no view. Also the bathroom was further away than usual.
However it was all very clean and modern and included a good breakfast and the staff were friendly and the location is quite convenient and easy to find, so it was a relatively good deal, considering the prices of other places in Pisa.

Comfortable, convenient and friendly hotel. A bit noisy at the front because the narrow street makes the sound a lot more intense - however it wasnt that bad for a good location in the middle of a town
