The hotel would have been o.k. except for the building works going on, drilling and building work started at 8 a.m. Location was very good for train station and airport was only 10 euros by taxi and sights were only a short journey by taxi or red bus from outside the hotel. The breakfast was good and staff were helpful.

This is a good choice for your stay, hotel is excellent even with construction going on it was still very good.Staff could be a bit nicer but apart from that excellent all round.

The bad points are that the reception staff weren't friendly or welcoming; the breakfast staff did their best to avoid helping; and the dinner we had at the restaurant was poor quality. The good points were that the rooms were fine - clean, quiet, well-equipped. No tea/coffee makers provided, but that seems to be general in Italy. Best thing about the hotel was excellent location for people travelling by train - right across from the station!

Great location for travelling to/from/around Pisa by train, bus or plane. The hotel is just across the road from the train station. It's a great value, clean hotel. Be prepared to walk 25 mins to the main Pisa tourist sights though.

Reception staff courteous but a little slow using the computer when checking in. Clean, spacious room and very friendly and helpful Chambermaid. Breakfast buffet provided good selection of both continental and English (sausage, scambled egg & bacon). Hotel in good location opposite railway station and about 5 minutes from airport, costing 8 Euros by taxi. Opposite side of town from the main attraction (Leaning Tower), but an easy stroll of about one mile through town centre.

Location suited me as 5-10 mins from airport and across the road from main railway. Double glazing meant a quiet room but I booked a single room which meant one single bed - unfortunate. The full buffet breakfast was good. Hotel reception staff very helpful. Building lacked character so stay there for convenience rather than ambience.

Nice place to stay. A little bit expensive for a small town as Pisa. Very close to the station, a long walk away from the tower.

We had a fairly enjoyable stay at this hotel, the barman was very nice and most of the desk staff were helpful. However we did have one problem when we needed an iron and ironing table from reception, it was 5pm and we were told it was not available. I can only assume this was because domestic staff had finished by then, but surely it would not have been difficult to take one out of the cupboard where they are kept and we could have ironed our clothes for our last night out in Italy. As it was I was unhappy about this, but the rest of our stay was enjoyable. The hotel is well placed for arriving at Pisa, although it is at least a 20 minute walk to the Tower so be aware of this. We didn't try the evening meal, but the breakfast was probably the best we had in Italy during our trip as there were things like eggs and bacon available and a proper toaster with nice bread to use with it. We had an early check-out (5am) as we had a 06:45 flight with Ryanair. They will provide a small buffet breakfast if asked with coffee, pastries, etc. so you could grab something before leaving. One point to note is that you are about 2-3 minutes by taxi to the airport so you will easily make check-in, although the queues were still quite busy at that time so still leave plenty of time for that.

Part of the personell at the reception left the impresseion that guests are not really welcome; location of the hotel is exactly as described but the area around the station does not belong to Pisa's nicest, especally since there is construction work going on in the neighborhood. Advantage: in order to reach the tower you have to walk through the shopping district...

We only stayed in the hotel for one night, and found the area a little quiet for a Saturday night.. probably because everybody had gathered next to the Arno at the end of Via Italia. We slept in what looked like a 'triple' bed it was huge! Breakfast buffet had everything you could wish for, and in the end the location was perfect as we only had to drag our bags for a few meters to get to the train station (litteraly opposite the hotel). Lobby was comfortable we stayed there for a bit before it was time to go to the train station.

Ideal location for what we wanted. directly opposite train station, only 5 min taxi ride to airport. 25 mins walk to tower e.t.c. early departure so cannot comment on breakfast but staff very helpful booking taxi and giving directions to sites.

It was my second stay at the hotel, this time with a daughter. It was just as good as at my first stay 2 years ago, so I didn't hesitate booking this stay :-) The good atmosphere at the hotel, the quietness and the location next to the railwaystation is perfect for a vacation in Florens, Lucca, Sienna and of course Pisa. Breakfast and dinner are healthy, variable and plentiful I recommended it to my second daughter and her husband who are going to Pisa this July! See you again! Best regards Ulla Midtgaard, Denmark

Good hotel but bad breakfast, is infront of the railstation. You not listen the train (good) but you listen your room neighbourg like to be in the same room..

We (three people in one double room, one single)stayed two nights in Pisa at the end of our holiday as a useful base for a day in Lucca and to see Pisa's Campo dei Miracoli. And to be convenient for the flight home from the local airport. Not the most picturesque part of Pisa, on a busy square and opposite the railway station, and we found no good restaurants nearby. Direct bus and train links to the airport (and elsewhere), and only 7 euros to the airport by taxi, thus convenient for those without a car. We had rooms at the back of the hotel, away from the square and thus quiet, one with a distant view of the Leaning Tower through a gap in the buildings. Excellent and generous buffet breakfast, rooms comfortable enough and with all the expected facilities. We had a very good meal at the restaurant, good choice of food and excellent service, if a tad expensive, which might be said of the hotel in general. We would stay there again for one or two nights (but who stays in Pisa longer?)

Location is excellent, very close to the central nightlife/bars and directly opposite the train station. Staff very unhelpful. A message was left at the hotel for me on my night of arrival. I was made aware of on the night before I left by the person who left the message. The front desk staff were unapologetic for not passing on the message. Also we arriveed late on out first night (midnight) and asked the reception staff where the local nightlife was and where we could get a snack . We were told the only place available was a coffee bar accorss the road. E30 for two cups of coffee, 2 (small) rolls, a glass of wine and orange. We thought it expensive as had heard Pisa reasonable. We realised over the weakend we had beem ripped off! We also realised that we could have walked 6-7 mins to the centre of the nighlife had the hotel reception staff been more helpful.

My room was SO warm, and when I called for air conditioning, I was informed that there was nothing I could do except open the window. Which then led to a very noisy night because the hotel is located right across from the train station, and at a busy intersection. Not to mention several mosquitos. Very disappointing.

This is fairly typical Jolly: large, modern, functional, probably best as a business hotel. The desk staff was a little disorganized and not very helpful, and did not seem much concerned with guests' comfort. The restaurant (a Jolly strength) was good, fairly priced, and friendly.

We really would like to recommend the hotel, and surely we will stay there again, next time we visit Pisa and the surroundings... :-)

The rooms were OK for a quick stay but the surroundings aren't very nice. The quality for the price was good so if you need to stay in Pisa for whatever reason its probably the best of the hotels available.

The hotel is typical of any business type hotel worldwide, it does not have any special characteristics of its own. The staff at the desk were efficient on check in but did not offer any additional information e.g. maps, where to eat etc. We couldn't get the phone in the lobby to work to get through to speak to our young children in England, when I asked if they had e-mail they said I had to buy a card for 25 euros and would lose any time left on the card!! Needless to say I didn't buy one - it would have been better if they had offered to let me send a quick e-mail for a small fee as they had access at the front desk computers. The staff definately didn't go that "extra mile" in their service so I wouldn't stay there again. The room was clean, the standard you would expect of a room in any business type hotel. Breakfast had more choice than we expected and was well presented. The location is excellent - directly opposite the railway station so we could check in then go out to see the sights. We saw lots of other poor tourists dragging their luggage around the town as they didn't want to pay for taxis to their hotels. Pisa itself was very disappointing and if it didn't have the leaning tower nobody would go there! I wouldn't recommend staying in the town, I would just do it as a day trip from Florence (which is absolutely beautiful). Pisa is dirty, they really do need to invest in litter bins and street cleaners. Some of the buildings could look really nice if they made an effort to clean them up but they just seem to rely on the Leaning Tower. There was graffiti everywhere and no signs of any effort to clean it.

This is a modern chain hotel which, although somewhat lacking in "local colour", nevertheless lives up to its 4-star rating. It is extremely conveniently placed for the railway station, across the square, and for the airport about 5 minutes away by train or taxi.

The hotel is very convenient to use the trains (e.g. to Firenze) as it is right opposite the Pisa Central station. It is also only a few minutes away from Pisa Airport. The interior of the hotel was a little older than expected and the service was not exceptional but considering the price and location I think it is okay.

This a place to sleep, totally without charm or ambiance. Reminds me of a travelling salesman's hotel in the USA. Nothing here to remind you you are in one of the most unique cities in Italy. Close to airport, that is the only plus. Tourists are best advised to stay in Lucca which is only 20-30 minutes away from major attractions.
