This hotel is a must-stay if you're going to Paris. It is well served by the Parisian transport system, is close enough to town, yet far enough removed that the prices are very reasonable. The neighbourhood is great with lots of little shops, restaurants and bars.

Hotel Wilson ist not in La Défense, but in Asnière sur Saine!!! Hotel Wilson has some nice restaurants nearby of average quality, where often french people are going to dinner.
To reach Hotel Wilson: Take a train (runs every 10 to 15 minutes) from Gare St. Lazare. Then walking ca. 5 Minutes to the hotel. In Paris take a "orange card for 3 Zones" - for this you need a picture of your face. It's the cheapest way for tourists.

Despite Asnière sur Siene be located outside Paris, it takes only 6 minutes by train to go to Gare Saint Lazare. The hotel is very good, with quality breakfast. The hotel sorroundings are very charming, there is a very good restaurant (Le Bougnat d'Asnière) a block away and a fine bakery (Deux Preux) two blocks away.

Nice hotel, good value for money. Good breakfast included in price. Free Internet connection from lobby.
The map/location description at venere.com is not very good. NOT in la Defence! - you shold take the main line train (not metro) from gare St. Lazare to Asnieres sur-Seine (situated in zone 3, normally just one stop).

A very nice hotel, with friendly staff. Clean and neat. The hotel was conveniently located near the railway sation (3 minute walk). Trains to Gare St Lazare departed every 15 minutes. A combination ticket for train, RER and metro took us everywhere we wanted to be (especially centre Paris). The neighbourhood of the hotel felt safe and a bit dull (but whilst traveling with a seven year old kid, we didn't mind that).

I'm so pleased with our decision to stay at the Wilson. Price was great, staff were friendly and helpful, room was small but clean and perfectly adequate, and the breakfast buffet was more than expected. And the location is so good - 5-10 minutes into central Paris, with about 8 trains/hour. Train station is just 5 minutes from hotel, and the village of Asnières is so charming with bistros, bakeries, markets, cinema, etc. It just felt so Parisian!! I'll definitely stay here again on my next trip to Paris.

The RER station is only 2 minutes from Hotel Wilson and the train only takes about 8 minutes to get to St. Lazare, a major Metro hub and central to a lot of Paris attractions.
There are also good services right in the area of the hotel. Taking these factors into account, it was worth being a bit out of the central area in order to get a good room rate (I realize that it was also off-season but I still think we savwd quite bit). The beakfast served as part of the price was excellent and the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. I would have no reservations about recommending Hotel Wilson to anyone seeking clean, reasonably priced accomodations in Paris.

This hotel is a bargain, even though it's some distance from the city center. Trains are only 5 minutes, but unfortunately for us there was a transportation strike which made it a bit more complicated. Stay away from rush hours if taking a taxi to or from the city center is our advice.
There are a few stores and restaurants around the hotel, and we actually found our favourite Paris store just a couple of blocks away from the hotel - an interior design store with selfmade furniture and paintings, Buddha statues and old fashion looking turntables.

This hotel is not in La Defense! This caused us great angst when trying to get back to it from Paris city center. We took the metro to La Defense and realized we were in BIG trouble. Taxis would not drive us here because it was too far out and they could make more money on shorter trips in the city. The only way to get here is on a train, not the metro. This hotel is in Asniers Ser Seine. The hotel itself was nice and we liked it just fine. the area was cute and we felt safe. We were quoted one price on this web site and our confirmation came in with a much higher price. We did not realize that until we were there and it was too late. Check your confirmation!

The room is very clean and comfortable. At the first glance, the room is a bit small. But later I found the room quite comfortable since room setting is good, and the enviornment is quiet. But pay attentinon to the toilet, the area for bathing is lower then the normal floor, it is easy to lose balance when you stand near the bathing area.
The surrounding is great. It located in a quiet small town with convinent eating and shopping places.
The transporation to the sightseeing places may cost a few time, because it is required to take the train first, and switch to the metro. But it is ok when getting used to it.

Good relationship between price and quality. The hotel is not in La Défense, this is a joke. The hotel is located in Asnières, a population next to Paris, excellent communications with downtown Paris. Train SNCF 10 minutes to station Sant Lazare, included on the Paris integrated transport (3 zones). Hotel non smoking, included inside the rooms. Beakfast on buffet. Room, bath and cleaning very correct. I recommend.

Our stay at the Hotel Wilson was very pleasant. Once we knew the location of the train stop (only a few blocks), transportation was a breeze. Within 15 minutes we had access to the metro and all of Paris's attractions. The breakfast was lovely, especially the pastries, and the location is quiet and quaint. I will certainly plan to stay here on my next Paris visit.

We have a very nice stay, Asnieres sur Seine is a quite place well connected with Paris, less than 10 minutes train ride from Paris Saint Lazare train station.
The hotel surrondings are full of supermarket, brasserie, boulangeriè, and everiting else you may need.
Only one remark, the hotel is "NO SMOKING" and is not clear for the web pages.

The hotel was fine, however I did have initial problems with reception desk,as we were given a small standard room, whereas I had booked a premium room on the website.I had e mailed the hotel prior to the visit a few times,as their first e mail said a standard double or premium twin room applied to the rate we had paid.I was quite emphatic I wanted a premium one so agreed by e mail to have a twin room. After a bit of argy bargy, and a phone call to another client by the receptionist,we did get what we had paid for.It wasnt a really good start to our experience at this hotel, and although it was eventually resolved, because I had my copy from Venere of the initial reservation,I felt the hotel was trying to fob me off to accept a very small room for what we had paid.Otherwise it was ideal for the train station and the commute into central Paris.
I would not recommend a standard room at this hotel.
I would certainly try a different hotel if we visit Paris again.

This hotel was outside Paris in the suburbs. While it is only 1 stop into St Lazare station where you can catch the metro (and very easy once you are familiar with the SNCF and metro and how they are different), it is difficult to know this the first time you are there and if you arrive late in the evening. I ended up paying a €12 cab ride to get there. Otherwise, it is not a bad hotel at all considering how expensive they are in Paris overall.

The one annoying thing about the room was that there was no shower curtain on the shower - maybe this is common in Europe? It surprised us, though. The bathroom was soaked after every shower. Other than this, the hotel was great, everything was as good as expected and proximity to transportation was better than expected (the person working at the front desk recommended we use the rural express route trains instead of the metro to get into the city - excellent advice!) We will stay here again if we return to Paris.

The pictures online only showed the breakfast room and a bathroom downstairs. The room we got yet was tiny, the bed fit in and my luggage. There wasn't really space to move. And I called there and asked for a parking space. However when we arrived they had no more and I had to park the car several streets away, totally unsecure!!!

The hotel and the staff from the the desk staff to the domestics were friendly and helpful even with our limited French.
The room was immaculate and cleaned frequently. Breakfast was plentiful and appetising.
We chose the hotel partly on price with the intention of visiting the centre of Paris but it would be mistake not to explore Asniere itself as it is a very pleasant area with a an excellent Sunday market.
The hotel far exceeded our expectations and would highly recommend it.

Hotel pulitissimo, personale gentile e disponibile, colazione buona e abbondante.

our stay at wilson hotel was excellent. the price was great, which includes breakfast. The rooms were very clean, they change the towels every day, and the bed sheets and covers too. the breakfast was awesome, there was lots of food, and they kept refilling the basket of pastry whenever it got low. the location was good too, it was about a 5-9 min walk to the train station (depending on ur speed) and is a 10 minute ride to Gare Saint Lazare, and the neighborhood is very calm too, there's a grocery store just around the corner (Casino) and there are some places like chocolaterie, boulangerie, etc... and a post office nearby too!
the rooms might be a bit small, but hey, it's expected, and the sound proof isn't perfect, but after a long day of going out, it probably won't bother you too much...
i highly recommend this hotel, and if i come back to paris i would definitely go back!

We had our 1st anniversary in Paris. Wilson provided us a great place for staying over. Our room was clean and spacious. We had a double-premium room. The cleaner cleaned the room and toilet daily. The toilet was spacious and clean. The only problem was it had no shower curtain. The transportation in Paris is very good. Whereever you stay, you can reach any part of Paris by metro/rer/train/bus very easily. The hotel's location is very good. It is very near to the train station. From the station, in every 15 mins you can have a train to Paris central. The trains start at 5 am in the morning and work till 1 am at night. The hotel provides very good quality and adequate breakfast. In Paris, where everything is very expensive, Wilson's breakfast will save your 15 euro per morning per person for sure. We would strongly recommed Wilson for all. Have a nice stay.Cheers..... Antara & Avijit

Hotel Wilson is an excellent choice for the budget minded. The staff is sincere and helpful. The breakfast buffet is awesome and the two free computers for internet access are a plus.
It was nice to be located at the edge of Paris in a nice community. You may find the trains to be confusing at first, but once you figure it out, it is o.k.
The hotel is clean, the staff is friendly, the breakfast is great - so one can easily put up with the mini-elevator!
Great hotel for the price!

Excellent value for money. Outside of central Paris but the train station is only 2 minutes away with frequent trains - only one stop and 5 minute ride. Would gladly stay there again. Only minor flaw was that everything kept running out at breakfast, on the plus side breakfast is in the courtyard weather permitting and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Hotel Wilson was great. My husband and I really enjoyed our stay there and would definitely go again or recommend it to someone. The lower score for quietness is because you can hear people through the walls. Not a lot if people are speaking normally, but if you happen to have noisy neighbours (like us one night... at 3 am), you will probably be kept awake. That being said, that was one night out of 12. And my husband slept through it anyway. The regular double rooms are kind of small though, especially with 2 people and assorted luggage, but it's manageable. All in all, a great alternate location for sightseeing in Paris for a good price and great service.

This is a very nice and friendly hotel with employees which have good English.
One point to be raised: why do they request full payment at the check-in. They already had my credit card number.
People should know that the Metro is about 20 minutes away by foot. The near by train is not often as the Metro.
