Booked two rooms for family. Excellent location for shopping/tourism etc. Nice and friendly hotel. Room was next to lift though and that made it noisy as did some early departing tourists. Overall, no problems at all.

The hotel was quite nice, but my room was pretty noisy (avoid room 127!) - it was located right under the staircase, and you heard people running up/down the stairs at all time.. besides, i am very dissappointed by the internet the hotel promises - the website talks nicely about internet in the lobby.. which is a single pc standing around in the lobby... which you obviously have to pay for. in the rooms you have wireless and cables for internet, but you have to buy from swisscomn for ~20 euro a day.. not worth even thinking of it. nad not worth a hotel of that price

Location was very good. Very close to subway stop and also shopping areas. Room is also clean. A bit tricky on the breakfast though, they didn't mention it was not included in our bill, but at least I read the comments from venere from other visitors so at least I knew. Safe surroundings.

Billy Weathers wrote an excellent review on 1/23/06. This hotel is a Best Western, but not typical of U.S. Best Westerns. The male staff was not welcoming, and I refrained from asking them questions about tourism. The day we left, we had a friendly female desk person as we paid. Did not realize there was complimentary coffee. Breakfast was 11 Euros, and we did not take it. The building is U-shaped, and as a result, there was a window directly across from our window about 10-15 feet. We could hear their conversation clear as day and see them walking around. Not exactly romantic for our honeymoon. We had to keep the windows open for ventilation. The shower had a swinging window that only went halfway, so we had a mini-flood in the bathroom whenever we showered. The rooms were tiny, but clean, and we had a TV. We had 2 twin beds pushed together. The hotel was less than 10 minute walk from the train, and the train was about 20 min from every attraction we wanted to see. There were many places to eat near the hotel. I would take my chances on another hotel if I returned to Paris, though this one was not awful.

This is a quaint 100 yr old refurbished building. A couple of the male staff were a little surly and harder to deal with but mostly the staff people were nice and helpful. The room is about 2 feet bigger than the edges of the bed all around. Bathroom had good water pressure and plenty of supplies. We had to make an issue of getting our complimentary coffee /tea supplies every day. Noise is an issue - you can hear the elevator rise and fall and when someone was in the next room it sounded like they were in yours. Paying extra to use the in room safe is annoying. This hotel is close to the Rome subway station, 1/2 mile from the Opera. We probably would try a different hotel if we go back to Paris just because this hotel was not stellar enough for an encore.

We stayed at this hotel twice, at the beginning and the end of our trip. We really enjoyed this hotel, it was beautiful and everyone was very nice and helpful. On our second arrival we had to wait for 4 hours to check into our room, which was really frustrating, but overall this hotel is worth the stay. The only disappointing factor is that breakfast is 14 Euros a person which is extremely steep for a choice of croissants, hard boiled eggs, cereal and juice. Overall, this was a great stay in Paris, very close to two metro stations.

Our biggest complaint is that upon check-in we were informed that our breakfast was included. When checking out they stated that this was not so & we were charged for four breakfasts. We would have never said yes to the breakfast because it only included some pastries, canned fruit cocktail, orange juice, hard boiled eggs & some cheese & sliced ham for 14 Euro dollars. I tried to explain this to the woman at the reception desk as we were checking out but she charged us any way. The man who checked us in said it was included & never even mentioned a price to us, since he stated it was included. This is suppose to be a Best Western Hotel & I was very upset by this situation. Please feel free to pass this along to the hotel management, as I feel we should be reimbursed for our breakfasts, since we were misinformed. Was breakfast covered under our reservation???

Great hotel for great value. It is also only 10 mins walk away from the main metro station and the main shopping areas. Only problem was that we asked for a double room and were given two twins pushed together.

We booked a double room but were given a twin and could not change. The fire alarm went off on both nights of our stay - once at 3am and everybody was evacuated to the street. On both occassions we were told it was due to a known fault with the system.
