NEVER IN THIS HOTEL IF YOU EXPECT A 4 STAR SERVICE !!!!!! What is incredible in this hotel is the difference of the great modern and clean common areas and entrance compared with the horrible rooms. Terrible old fashion room, very small, air conditioning with a huge machine in the middle of the room (I nsaw something similar once in Ethiopia some years ago ....) An incredible old bathroom with tubes in evidence, very small towels impossible to use for a shower, no comments on the minibar with nothing to eat. In a few words I think that the 4 stars of this hotel are only for the common areas but the rooms need a total renovation. I paid 250 Euro for one night with no breakfast it seems with an excellent fare found on Venere, I cannot imagine someone can pay more for this hotel, the right price for this hotel is 60-70 Euro if they ask more look for something else

Excellent hotel for seminaries. Excellent breakfast. Brilliant parking garage ! However, the beds are so hard and uncomfortable that we could not sleep at all. Otherwise we would always book at this hotel.

For a Paris hotel this place was not bad. Nicely situated in the Marais district, close to Metro. Walking distance to Place des Vogues, Bastille, and restaurants. Inner courtyard was pleasantly quiet. Our room was mediocre but tolerable. Internet was accessible for a fee in the lobby area only. For the price, breakfast should be included but it is not. Overall acceptable, could be much nicer with some upgrades in furnishings and services.

the rooms are by way not as fashionable as the public area, so the pictures on the web give a bit of a wrong impression, but we did not regret our choice (the beds are very comfortable, the rooms are clean, quiet). the area is great, very close to rue oberkampf with lots of cafes, bars and restaurants, metro just around the corner, some sights even in walking distance

Hotel description does not make it clear what it offers are more apartments than rooms. Rooms are very badly soundproof insulated. Reception staff unhelpful and useless in the morning. Overall a pretentious look but too superficial; public areas are nice but rooms are only so so and service is worse. Does not deserve the 4* rating; 3* tops.

Great location in the Marais area. Short walk to the Bastille area and very close to Place de Vosges with lots of beautiful cafes, restaurants and shops along the way. Rooms very spacious with a little kithenette. Beautiful public areas but not suitable for elderly people because of the stairs to the breakfast room. However with a lovely courtyard between Hotel and breakfast areas. Small confusion with the breakfast prices that need to be specified if they are 20€ per person or per room !!!

The hotel lobby/general area is portrayed well in the photos. It is retro, fun and young. The central garden feature is lovely. The room we had (double) was clean, functional and adequate. The bathroom was fine, but could do with a some updating. There was a mini kitchen in the room (dishwasher, fridge, stove/oven, crockery and cutlery), this would be ideal for those wanting a self-catering room. The decor of the room in general did not fit in with that of the communal/general areas of the hotel. Location of the hotel was fine.

Saludos!

very beautiful hotel, luxurious and trendy reception, bar and restaurant and quiet private garden. Not so much the room, large enough but anonymous. Had some misunderstandings with the concierges, who didn't explained me well the price of wi-fi and that reservation was breakfast not included.

We reserved 2 executive rooms: none of them seemed to be the rooms of the photos in the site… The first one, for one person, was quite adequate with a little kitchen and a quite large bed, even if the carpet was very spotted and, at arrival, we found some toilet paper (fortunately clean!) into the w.c.; the other room, for two people, was very small, with no kitchen, no minibar, no Internet connection, Pay-TV and other services into the TV out of order. Two considerations: there is too much difference in quality between rooms and, if these are the Executive rooms we paid for, we can’t imagine Classical rooms! Well located; nice the courtyard, probably great in spring and summer. Breakfast was quite good, without fantasy but everything one could expect was there. Be aware that it is not included in the price of the room and we found 20€ really too much. It could be a good “three stars” hotel.

We stayed in the hotel for 4 days in february. The hotel is fine and the junior suite was spacious enough. We would have appreciated a bigger table for breakfast (p.e). The staff is very friendly but the service could be better. Examples: It is not very intelligent to try to clean the room at 10 am, when you check out at 12am at your last day. We had to repeat a request for a wineglass (there were not enough wineglasses in the room) several times.

We had a choice of 4 executive rooms, all of which were large and with kitchenettes - the regular rooms seemed quite small. For the price it was great - big, clean, nice atmosphere, helpful staff at reception. Would def. return.

Poorest service ever had!!!! Last time we did have such a poor service was in Romania at a 10 EUR room. During THREE days we did not have any warm water. The information of the staff were very contradictory - it will be fixed soon ..... Un upgrade was only proposed after several interventions and in the evening 5 minutes before leaving the hotel for going to the opera. All the excuses of the hotel were half a bottle of bad private label Champagne. Beside this catastrophe our room in the Rodin buidling was big and quiet but does need very urgent rennovation. The carpet was more a patchwork of spots.

Room was clean. It was somewhat tight by American standards but not a space capsule by any means. We had a small kitchen so we made breakfast in the morning and saved a couple hundred Euros. Staff was friendly and spoke lots of languages. Elevators are small and went out of service a couple of times over 11 days. Ice machine was unplugged for the duration. The 'hood was nice and we were close to a metro stop and a couple of local markets. The restaurant left a lot to be desired - ate there exactly once. WiFi Internet access was 6 Euro per day, available in the lobby only (and incompatible with my computer), so we walked 3 blocks to an Internet cafe. Laundromat just around the corner. All in all, it's a nice place and I'd go back.

A beautiful hotel. I was worried booking over the internet but this was a great hotel. I had an executive room so I had alot of space. The area doesn't have alot of shops or cafes but the metro stop is right there and it was easy to get around Paris. Toilet plugged up twice, elevator broke down once(which was a drag walking up 6 flights of stairs) but they fixed it the next day. Breakfast was a buffet but overpriced. I think next time I will do without it which you can do. The staff was helpful and all spoke English. Get a courtyard room, the streetside rooms can be noisy.

Overall a good value for money hotel in a convenient location. We paid for an upgraded room and were unsure if a mistake had been made as the photographs in the hotel info in the room did not resemble the room we were in. We were assured we were in an executive room. It was large by Paris standards but otherwise not executive. Decent hotel though with a lovely courtyard. I would certainly stay there again.

Good hotel, but should be 3 star rather than 4 star. All guests are foreign--no French at the weekend. The first room they offered us was small and had a sewer smell. If you get a bad room. ask for a better one. Also, on checkout we had to argue to get them to honor the venere.com discounted price. Skip the overpriced hotel breakfast and dinner. For dinner go to C'Amelot down the street--really excellent.

This hotel, though unassuming from the outside, is actually quite large--it's basically comprised of 3 or 4 separate buildings built around a cute little central courtyard. The staff was quite helpful, although when we first arrived, a bellboy took our luggage but never brought it to our room. We ended up going back outside and bringing it up ourselves. Our room (a junior suite/triple) was quite spacious and even included a kitchenette, complete with plates and pots and pans. Bathrooms are on the small side, but at least they have shower curtains (unlike some other 4-star French hotels we stayed in where it's just the tub). The only major downside was that the building we were staying in (not sure if the same is true for all of them) did not have true air conditioning units...instead we had one of those space coolers where you have to stick the hose/vent for hot air out of a window. But having to stick it out the window meant leaving a window open, which let in more hot air...kind of a catch-22, and not something I was expecting from a 4-star place. Very close to the Metro, and there are also a bunch of cute restaurants within walking distance.

My daughter and I stayed for five nights in June. The room was very comfortable, a good size and nicely decorated with views of the court yard.It was slighly smaller than expected but that was because the photos show the best suites. The kitchenette facility was very welcome as breakfast was expensive. It had a fridge, cooker, cutlery, saucepans, crockery and glasses. There is a supermarket very close which sells good bread and croissants. It is well situated and the area is not as expensive as more well known areas. The courtyard is lovely -a pretty and peaceful retreat- as good as the photos. The staff were very helpful. It was a lovely place to go back to after a busy day sight-seeing and though slightly expensive it was worth it.

I don't think this district is the best area to stay in Paris, so this effected our stay a bit. The room is old and a bit run down and incredibly small. The hotel maintains the entry, the garden walk-way and the hallways, so it makes it look as if it is a nice hotel. The picture that is shown on the website is disceiving because it makes the room look much nicer and larger than what it really is. This definitely is not a 4 star hotel, this would be consider 2 star in the states with the exception on having a kitchenette. My husband and I ended up using the kitchenette twice to make our own breakfast because the breakfast the hotel offers is horrible. They serve running "buffet" eggs, pastries and frosted flakes cereal for 20 euros each person which exchanges into about $26 US dollars - I wouldn't eat it again if it were free. The only thing nice about this hotel is the staff - extremely nice and accomodating.

This hotel is rated four star. In reality it is more like a two star. During our stay the hotel was undergoing refurbishment even though the web-site said that it was recently refurbished. There were no public areas available, no restuarant or bar available. We had to walk (during a snowfall) 100 metres to a temporary reception without any assistance from the hotel. Our transfer vehicle was unable to drop us to the temporary reception due to a one-way traffic system. The reception staff were disinterested. Business cards presented on the reception (which we used to direct taxis to the hotel) were actually for a sister hotel located in the opposite direction. On two mornings the chambermaid entered the room without knocking and even though a "do not disturb" sign was displayed on the outside of the door. On complaining at check-out we received a discount. Breakfast was not taken as it was €20 extra per person, which we considered a complete rip-off. In short, I could not recommend this hotel to anybody for any reason.

One of the better values I've found in Paris if you want a large, well decorated, clean modern room. In room kitchenette and fridge. They have just completed a costly remodel of the whole hotel comple. All of the desk employees are friendly, helpful, and speak fluent English. It's not really in Le Marais, and you need to walk about 4 or 5 blocks to get to Place du Vogues. Then another few blocks to Le Marais. But there are several goor resyaiuants within 2 or 3 blocks of the hotel. Safe neighborhood.

Really enjoy my stay at the hotel, before booking I read different reviews from the website and was a bit worried of some comments. But once arrived, room was reserved and ready for me through the website and I was very pleased with the service offered and everybody was very welcoming. The fact that the hotel is not very far from the underground and from the gare du Nord (by metro) was very good for us. I really recomend this hotel to anyone, even if it is a bit expensive but good value, but everything is expensive in Paris anyway. Vive Paris

i asked for a non smoking room the first room i was given stank of smoke the replacement room was fine but still contained an ashtray and no sign to say it was non smoking i dont believe they actually have non smoking rooms. there is no porter service which is awkward given the layout of the property . parking is a nightmare (as it is in paris anyway) but without a porter it is impossible to locate the hotel check in and find the carpark without parking illegally. the rooms were good with kitchen etc but for some reason no trouser press, the public areas, gardens etc are delightful the bar and resteraunt are barely adequete and soulless. this really isnt a 4 star proerty because of the lack of service but on the other hand it is excellent value for paris i would use it again.but please designate some non smoking rooms
