Using bus N°3 or 1 you really have to climb up. Use bus N°16 (stop Valparaiso) to avoid climbing. Photos are far from reality, but employees were kind. Bathroom was disgusting (rusty bathtub, wholes filled with papertowel on the ceiling). Location is close to the port, to a shopping center (Porto Pi) and the smaller beach (Cala major), but farther from the city and quite far from the main beach (Platja de Palma). Vue to the port and roofs (cranes). We enjoyed our stay (5 nights), but would choose an other hotel next time.

I took the bus from the airport to the Hotel (there is a bus going directly to Porto Pi, where the Hotel is situated) and it was so crowded that I didn´t realize when and how someone stole my camera.... so you better go there via Taxi. The Hotel was clean, the room was OK (the bathroom was very spacious). From my room I couldn´t see the Cathedral but was looking directly at the port where the ferries left - as I was staying there for only one day, i didn´t mind, though. There is internet you can use for 2,- Euro a Day. Breakfast was quite nice, the employees are professional, but not outstandingly heartly. five minutes down the street there is a charming little spaghetteria with wonderful food - you should definitely try this out if you stay in the Horizonte.

Would not stay again. Requested in booking a high floor and offered 1st floor or an update for 20 Euros upon arrival. Given 3rd floor room which looked as though it hadn't been cleaned. Bedside rugs unbeleivably filthy. Workmen banging in room above throughout afternoon and from 9 am. Holes in corridor walls. Room in desperate need of maintainance. Public bar draughty and cold and service a joke! Dreadful hotel, making for a dreadful weekend.

Decent breakfast in a nice room with good views. Good swimming pool, but too cold to use in November despite the great weather. Good views from hotel and (most) rooms, however do bear in mind the 6 euro taxi for every trip into the centre. does add up but I quite liked being out of the centre. Also close to Porto Pi shopping centre and on the way to Mori gallery. Reception staff not the most friendly but okay.

Overall our stay here was excellent, although we were only passing through and only stayed the one night. The only problem I could see was the steep hill were the hotel is located, I would imagine it to be a taxi run every day unless you are really fit, having said that, there was a taxi rank directly outside the hotel

The location was good.
But it was not a 5 minute walk from the port as mentioned. Only a olympic participant can reach the hotel in 5 minutes.
And the rroms weren't very good. In both the rooms allocate to us, the bath room doors weren't shutting properly.

Karthikeyan B

Clean room with very small balcony.Bath and shower + hairdryer.
Food plain and plentyful though cold.
Bar staff not friendly
You need to be fit as is it at the top of quite a steep hill. Local buses easy and cheap just at the bottom of the hill
Overall excellent value for money I would stay there again.

If you get the right rooms the Horizonte has great views over Palma. In the season the hotel offers an extensive range of facilities.Breakfast and dinner buffets rather limited in quality and immediate area is no good for dining. The centre of Palma is a bus/ taxi ride away & car parking nearby is on street and very busy. Noise from adjoining rooms and corridors is very bad as doors slam shut and tiled floors echo a lot.

Hotel was fine for an out of main season visit.
food was pretty unimaginative - I wouldn't recommend the evening meals there, at least at this time of the year.
The map isn't good enough to allow you to find it and, unless they have updated it the bus route numbers from the airport are wrong on the english version of the web site. It says line 17 then line 4. It's actually line 1 then line 6.
Buses on line 6 stop early but a taxi from the centre will cost 5-6 euros.

The hotel is excellent value. The only real shortcoming is the steep hill which needs to be climbed to get there. It really is very steep and would perhaps not be suitable for elderly or infirm guests.
The view wonderful from most - although not all - rooms.

The staff were friendly upon our arrival but immediately tried to upgrade us to a more expensive room, insisting that we see the upgraded room BEFORE we even got to see the reserved room. We did indeed upgrade because the less expensive room was a great distance from the entrance and lobby of the hotel. The room was very clean but $25 more than the original one. They apparently did this with the other members of our party upon their arrival. A bit odd.
