We arrived to the hotel on April 7th.
It was 28C outside but the hotel's air-conditioning system wasn't working!!!(Although according to their web site all rooms are airconditioned).
The manager said the air-con. will be turned on only in the midle of April...

Nice Hotel in a good area but a little way out of centre - 10 euro's minimum taxi ride although price very variable!!.
One bizarre factor that detracted from an overall very pleasant stay of 3 nights was that the weather in April was very warm but we were advised that the hotel is not allowed to put the aircon on until May. Reputedly this is the law in Palermo for all hotels!

This was a wonderful place to stay as we had been traveling for almost 3 weeks. The room as wonderfully spacious, clean and comfortable. It was like the grand hotels we used to stay in 40 years ago in Rome and can no longer afford to go to now. The american breakfast was terrific too. The front desk staff were very helpful with bus schedules and tour information.

Ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo.
Vivamente consigliato per la posizione centralissima, per la pulizia, per lo spazio a disposizione nelle camere, per la cortesia e la professionalità del personale e, non da ultimo, anche per la sontuosità della prima colazione.

it is generally a smart hotel but rather pricey for what you get. we had a room that was as far from the lifts as possible and had an internal room that got no light and the view was of all building work. Not what you would expect having paid these prices. Breakfast was good. the room was nice if a little on the small side. internet access was free.

We stayed at this hotel on the last night of our stay in Sicily, and wished that we had also stayed here when we had arrived in Palermo a week before (we had stayed at another Venere.com hotel that was not as good). The room was huge, the bathroom huge, and all was very nicely decorated. the breakfast buffet was impressive. The location was great too, although not easy to find as the one way street systema had us going round in circles. The only complaint we have for our short stay: when we arrived we gave the man who brought our bags up to the room (and helped us find a parking space) a very big and disproportionate, tip, because we had nothing else to give him and did not want to leave him untipped. Our thanks in the morning was having him watch us struggle out of the lift and into the lobby and later to our car, and not lift a finger to help.

We were very surprised at how lovely our rooms were. They were more spacious then rooms in some American hotels and very reasonably priced. They were immaculate. We reserved 3 rooms: 2 with king size beds and one with twin beds. All had lovely, marble bathrooms equipped with bidets. Our only complaints were the following: They had us listed for 2 nights instead of one, which wasn't a problem. Also, one of the rooms smelled very badly of cigarette smoke and our friends had to be moved into a room which was not near the rest of the party. We were in a nice area of city, which was within walking distance of museums and eateries and very close to the airport- about a 20 minute drive early in the morning. I am very fussy when it comes to hotels, and I would most definately stay here again.

The hotel was being refurbished, and getting to the room involved walking through large areas of debris and dust. The single elevator was several times unavailable because it was being used by the workmen. There was a good deal of noise from the work; but also, until 1AM, there was disco music near the room. The bar was unattended for long periods--getting a drink was not easy (and for 3 days no campari was available). The experience was unpleasant, and very overpriced. And there was no warning on the website that construction was in progress.

Our room was very noisy from early in the morning because of renovation work which involved materials being hoisted past our windows up to the roof. However, this did not spoil our stay in an extremely comfortable and stylish hotel.

when I made the reservation, your service showed me another type of room (virtual tour on deluxe room, but you sold me a standard room) that's why I was unhappy with the room they gave me, and I had to change the room and pay more. I think this is not a good service by Venere, and I am, not sure I will use it anymore. If I reserve a room I want this room, not another quality.

This hotel is extremely, extremely noisy due to traffic.
The manager was rude trying to refuse my traveller's cheque in euros complaining he would have a commission to pay at the bank ! This is a four stars hotel !!!
I`m convinced l could have found something nicer for much cheaper !
