The staff in general were unwelcoming. The exception being Ricky the porter, the young English girl in reception and the older man in reception in the evenings. The bar staff especially were very abrupt and would talk to one another while serving which I found very rude. The room we booked - a twin room with a pool view did not materialise even though my Cypriot friend rang the week before to check. We were given a room at the back of the hotel and the next day offered a pool view room in 2 days time or an apartment in another block immediately - we chose the apartment which was very clean and nicely furnished. The food in the hotel was excellent, varied and lots of it. The area around the pool was lovely and the lunchtime meals excellent value. Be prepared to complain if you don't get the room you want because they will move you.

The room given to me was on half-first floor with direct acces to the lobby-hall, where loud music and entertainment was made until midnight and longer. This is a impertinence. My booking was not clear regarding the board. In my opinion I booked only B&B (as I always do), but the hotel said, it was Halfboard. So I´m wondering, who was right (on the voucher ist no information) and if I get a refund for not using halfboard. The hotel-staff was not able to tell me about it. Last point: On the voucher of venere it is said, that I have to pay the invoice at the hotel and my creditcard-number is not for paying it. At the end, venere charged my card and I had not to pay at the reception. That was confusing for me.
