the price quoted me by venere could never be matched to what they charged. added $10 for the second room and called it a transient room. have no idea what that meant. they did give me a credit for $20 which came only after talking to 2 employees and 2 managers. took 3 days for that. they said my complaint should be with venere. also, venere left out a $9 per room, perday charge which was called a resort fee. very misleading and they would not take off bill. again, said it was venere's fault. very disappointed with dollars paid for room in lieu of the included total given by venere!!

An old hotel badly in need of updating...
If you've been around long enough (like me), you may remember the early 70's style Florida "resorts" with mostly outside rooms and that funky sort of party atmosphere. There's the pool, some pinball machines, a little shop and a cafe. It was all pretty OK - back in the 70's, that is. Fast forward to today, and the outside rooms are a little stale, the cafe is over-priced and self-serve with a limited menu and the lobby looks terribly out of date.
Things start out well enough when you pull into the motor-court and are greeted by the valet. Quite impressive. But then it all goes horribly wrong. You are immediately be presented with a statement which you must sign (I asked - you must!) that says you are aware they will be adding an additional $9/day tacked onto your room bill as a "resort fee". The room was reasonably sized, but it just looked - well, old.
We really needed the advertised wireless internet, but to our dismay it was not to be found in the rooms at all. It was only in the lobby, and it was poorly implemented. Some people got on with a lot of "fiddling", but we never did. Failing that, we tried the business centre, but it didn't work right either, and internet access was expensive.
All was not lost - we could walk to Downtown Disney from the property. It's a nice walk. While you are there, check out the other hotels on offer.
All in all, there are much better hotels for the money near Disney.
