This is a well-publicized hotel both on the web and in Orange, France. Unfortunately, the hotel is SUPER dated and needs real attention. Holiday Inn should be ashamed of the status of the hotel. The front desk staff is really nice (even valet parked the car for us). The hotel looked like it hadn't had any work done on it for 40 years. Looks like a cheesy 60s movie hotel. The rooms were clean, but exceptionally dated. The TV was one with a remote that I had at home over 25 years ago. I don't know if there is a better place in town. Orange, France is a really little place. If this place were 2/3 the price, that would be about right. There is no elevator and the rooms are on 3 or 4 floors. If you are older, or have a lot of luggage, this will be a problem. The hallways are no more than 2.5 feet wide. The location of the hotel is superb and the staff is really great -- it just needs a major internal overhaul.

Travelling for my own. I can recommend this Hotel. Especially the Restaurant at the corner someone should try.

Good location, nice, quiet and clean hotel. The only problem is no elevator. The bellboy helped us carrying our luggages to the 3rd floor when we checked in, and it was a VERY LONG and winding stairway. We ended up carrying our luggages down by ourselves when we checked out.
