This hotel is 20 minutes walk from the railway station but central to the beautiful old town.
My room looked onto an echoing narrow back street but it was quiet at night.
Nimes is into bullfighting and the hotel features beautiful artworks of matadors. The beautifully restored centuries old mansion has a fabulous courtyard starewell and breakfast room.
The English speaking male staff at the desk are
ready to help in any way.
Dont miss the park of fountains and canals and its restaurant. I was there in June and there is nothing like A Provencal blue sky with swallows twittering above old tiled rooves.
The area is safe and you wont have to listen Americans or English. You will feel you are in France

Location is close to the importance of town. No parking but low price public parking is located by 2 minutes walk. There is a lift but room location is bit complicated so if you have heavy stuff with your travel, you need to carry up or down to access your room.
Patio of the hotel is beautiful and have a good mood.

Old building beautifully restored; good location in town center; pleasant staff, especially Pedro, the night clerk who was very informative and delightful to talk with. Breakfast was nice but, as at most hotels in France, a tad overpriced. Follow the recommendation of many other travelers and head out to a small cafe for capuccino and croissant for much less.

The concierge, check-in person was very helpful... recommended an excellent restaurant nearby and gave us good directions. We arrived late, and he was a reassurring presence on arrival. Nimes is fascinating. We wish we had had more time to explore the area. Next time, we'll stay longer. Our only problem is that we had difficulty finding the hotel and had to wander to locate it. Better and more obvious maps would help.

Hotel in lovely old building with lots of nice features. Room was small with not much of a view. It could have done with upgrading but generally it was OK. Great location with lots of bars and restaurants near by. Surprisingly quiet even though we were in a room facing onto the main street.

l'hotel è situato in pieno centro storico. Ristrutturato in stile moderno è molto carino. Ci tornerei chiedendo specificamente una stanza che non da su quel cortile.

An interesting hotel although our room was fairly small it was OK for a couple of nights.
Nimes itself is a pleasent enough, the Gardens and Arena worth a visit.
Very friendly staff at hotel who knew the best restaurants ( try Provencal near to hotel)
Local people warmer than those French in the north, overall a good city to visit before the airport closes!

This is part of a small chain of hotels "New hotel..." We stayed in a sister hotel in Montpellier which was excellent too. This hotel is right in the middle of the old part of Nimes town about ten minutes walk through little streets and squares to the Colliseum. The building is an old 17th century building converted. The room was spacious and clean. The public areas were pleasant and there was a nice little bar. There was supposed to be a restaurant but apart from serving breakfast I never saw anyone eating there and it didnt look open, though we didnt ask either. The staff at reception spoke excellent English and were very friendly and helpful. I would reccomend this hotel and stay there again, and in fact I will look out for hotels in the New Hotel chain and would certainly book one if available

The public areas of the hotel were quite impressive, however, the room that we were allocated was shabby and tired. The wall lights had been moved and the resulting damage plastered over but not painted the same colour as the walls. The door fittings were not secure, the screws were missing. The toilet and bathroom are separate and the bathroom has no door so if you are not staying with a loved one beware! All in all it is a good hotel, located on the edge of the old town, with very friendly staff but the rooms leave much to be desired.

Perfect in every way! Only minor glitch was very slow and frustrating wi-fi internet access and staff weren't even aware they were providing it. Otherwise, great atmosphere, great location, and good service. Thouroughly recommended.

This was my second stay at the hotel and clearly "NEW" hotel does not necessarily mean better. Our first stay prompted us to return. However, on this ocasion the room's airconditioning unit made our stay someting of a misery. The hotel is designated three star, charging three star prices but not, I am afraid, three star accomodation if I am to judge it by the overall quality of the accommodation offered to us. I have recommended the hotel to many friends in the past but the past is past. Nimes on the other hand is better than ever and we shall be going back again very soon to a "new" hotel!

Hotel was overpriced for its location. The area was not very nice and there were a number of alcohalics and drunks in the vicinty of the hotel. No parking facilities and loading and unloading luggage was difficult due to the one lane one-way system. Area did not look very safe at night. Not a place to recommend to friends.

Very much enjoyed our overnight stay at this very comfortable yet reasonably priced hotel. Good location in centre of Nimes, helpful staff and a nice breakfast.
Rooms decent size - only criticism would be the bath - a bit on the small side.

There was one defect - poor disabled facilities. The bath had no hand grip and was difficult to get out of. In addition the shower was very poor. It was only a hand shower with no support to hang it on the wall to stand over the shower if you did not want to sit in the bath.
