Excellent value for money. Hotel staff are very friendly and can recommend sites and keep travel information for guests. They made my holiday very enjoyable. Decor of rooms was dated but very clean and the hotel was in a great location. I would definitely recommend this hotel to those travelling on a budget.

THE COCROACH NEST !
I was expecting little of such a cheap hotel in the town centre, but certainly not a cocroach invasion !!!! When I woke up at 1 am to drink a glass of water, the floor was covered with dozens and dozens of these disgusting insects!!!! Even the light would not scare all of them and I did not sleep at all of the whole night !!! Worst hotel experience ever !!!...

The reception opened at 4pm (which we discovered upon arrival - though it gave us time to explore) but we were greeted by the proprietor who was probably more well versed in English than I am, had an excellent knowledge of the local area and was very helpful overall. The prices of the rooms were as designated on Venere, though much to our surprise there were also (admittedly quite small) ensuites! We stayed as a group of 4, though split over several stories highlighted the exceedingly castle-like spiral staircase (a pretty effective defence against us English). Highly recommended for anyone looking to stay in the epicenter of Nimes, minutes walk from supermarkets such as Monoprix and the other prominent historical sights, i.e. the amphitheatre. Only notable problem is the seemingly paper-thin walls, so if you have small children or inebriated students as neighbors, be aware and don't be afraid to knock on the partition! Again, this hotel is a fantastic place of residence and a definate boon to any small group/family

First time in Nimes - great city.
Great hotel - very welcoming, great location, very friendly owner gave us map and offered plenty of suggestions of where to go.This was a stopover on our way to the coast but we wish we had stopped longer.
For the price the Concorde would be very hard to beat.

Very very good value right in the heart of Nimes.
The man at the desk gave lots of useful info about Nimes.
Although we would not have expected much for this price, the hot water for the room had been turned off and we had to turn it on to use it, and the shower and sink leaked into the carpet.

Their reception didn't open until 5 pm. It would be nice if they would inform us of that on the website, and/or send you the code when you make a reservation to allow you to store your bags while waiting for reception to open.
