Position of hotel was perfect for us - easy access to sea and railway. Our room on top floor was a good size, bathroom excellent, and all clean. We had 4 nights, first two good, second two we had noisy neighbours but staff were good and dealt with them promptly and effectively. Staff friendly and helpful.

Very polite and friendly staff. The rooms are well used and need a little shape up very soon. We also had water comming from the bathroom and innto the carpet in our room. This was not good for the air quality in the room. But overall J would say that we got what we paid for. J can recomend this hotel for travellers that use the hotell to sleep in. There is not mutch to do inside the hotell area.

Room had not been re-decorated for many years, furniture tawdry and dated, lighting poor, bathroom was newly fitted out, garden looks nice on the web but is small and right next to the road, the taxi that the reception called cost 21 euros for 4 minute ride to the port and was unmetered but we had no time to get a different one. Poor value for the price but that is a problem all over Nice.

A lovely hotel, in a location convenient for the train and access to the beach. The outdoor courtyard is beautiful, the common areas clean and modern, but the actual hotel rooms have extermely old furniture. While the actual rooms could use a face-lift and better lighting; we felt they were spacious and clean.

Very nice accomodation, reasonably close to beach (couple of blocks) although a bit far from the old city area (15-20 min walk). No view to speak of. Parking is in a secured but poorly-lit garage about 1 block away.
Lovely garden area for lounge and restaurant, reasonbly priced 3-course menus available.
Reception staff have limited English, but no problem to make yourself understood.
Free WiFi is available but you need a France Telecom (Orange) internet account to actually use it.
We would stay here again, definitely.

very rude welcome; ugly rooms:indifference to room requests; infernal piped radio throughout corridors, reception and restaurant; complete lack of courtesy when reception staff made a mistake with the bill and accused us of failing to pay. Will never stay there again.

Although the public areas and garden were pleasant our rooms were dark, dingy and cramped with tired and old furniture. The only outlook was a window that opened onto a flat roof overlooking a blank wall - with signs saying don't leave the window open because of crime - not what you want on a balmy August evening when you don't want the air con running. The breakfast was good but for 11 euros not giving it away. Reminded me of one or no star hotels I stayed in 20 odd years ago in France .....

Our stay at the hotel was very good with excellent buffet breakfast. The air conditioning in the room was not very effective
We were very dissatisfied with the taxi company booked by the hotel to take us to the port. The driver set off towards the airport rather than the port (the opposite direction!) and only changed direction when challenged. The driver also had no knowledge of the prevailing traffic conditions and a journey thatshould have taken 15 minutes took 45 minutes. All at a rip off price of 18 euros. Beware - do not use 'Le Navette Azureenne'.

The promised wireless internet did not work and the single public access computer was always busy, so I do not recommend this hotel if you need to do any work! The room was simple but comfortable, and the breakfast was of high quality (my 3 year old especially loved the hot chocolate!)and good value . Overall, a very pleasant stay in a surprisingly inexpensive hotel in a great location.

The rooms were a little dated but they were clean nevertheless. The hotel was ideally situated within a 5 minute walk of the main shopping areas/beach and promenade and the gardens at the hotel provided a nice little oasis. I would however not recommend the breakfast which I felt was overpriced. All in all a good stay and I would recommend the Hotel Brice to anybody.

The building was very convenient but the room and the interior was miserable. The room was a bad mix of renovations gone wrong and the hall way/common space was old and dingy and smoke-filled. We had to put a towel under the door to prevent smoke from entering our room.

This is a lovely hotel. Public areas are clean and well kept and the garden is lovely for breakfast or a drink in the evening. You can walk within ten mins to the train station or to the old town, or to the promenade. Its quiet at night, and the beds are very comfortable, if a little short if you are over 5' 5!

We had a very nice stay at Brice. The zone was not bad, and the location was ideal being close to both the beach, the promenades and the railway station. The only complaint I could mention is that the sound insulation of the rooms seemed to be next to inexistent. We particularly enjoyed the cute little garden bar.

I was traveling with a good friend. The room was pretty small and a little out dated but we were not in Nice to stay in the room. The location was great; close to the promenade and lots of shopping. There were really nice restraunts nearby ( i strongly reccomend Barracudda and its sister restrarant). Skip the expensive breakfast at the hotel it wasnt too impresive, especially for the price. Be sure to check out the flower market(especially on sundays). Also, Brice has a relationship with a beach club which is great however We tried to go mid-day and its turned out we needed reservations so call ahead. Overall a fine stay.

We just returned from a six-week trip in Europe, spending time in numerous hotels. This was at the bottom of our list. Our room was spacious and charming with two large windows/balconies facing the front, yet the overall experieicne was not good. The beds were pathetic...poor mattresses that were curving up at the bottom, flat used pillows, stained antiquated carpet, miniature TV, thin towels old draperies and questionable bed coverings...very old building...staff was helpful, yet not very nice...free internet was a bonus. Breakfast not included. Had to park many blocks away in garage..typical of Nice. Front of hotel was charming with the trees and garden setting- entire property in need of remodeling..Could be a great hotel. Only reason it has a four star rating is the facilities in general..nothing to do with the amenities of the beds, bath and room decor. That was a big lesson learned about hotel travel in Europe. I would rather have clean sheets and decor in a room beyond anything.
Desperately needed a clear map of the location. Hard to find, on your own, with lots of one way streets. Tested my driving skills.

The place was great. Only a couple blocks from the beach and promenade. Nice little garden area in front to sit in and it sets the hotel off the street a little. The common areas were spacious and nice. The staff was friendly and helpful. We were there on a special price so the breakfast was not included. I don't know if that is always the case so inquire. It was a little expensive but very good. It is worth it if you want to eat a big breakfast but not if you only want coffe and a roll. Our triple room was clean and nice. We would definitely stay again.

our camera got stolen (well we had some much more valuable stuff in the room - but they took the old camera) - they changed locks 1month ago - it obviously didn't help (did they have such problems before? :/)

The accommodations were perfect for a couple. The room and bed were bigger than I expected. We also had a small fridge and a small sitting area in our room which was great since we were on a budget. The hotel is very conveniently located and quiet enough to get a good night's rest.
