the room is small and not quite clean. Everything is ok. No BF. The location is perfect. Very closed to Nation station. The neighborhood is excellent. the grossery is just opposite and many good resturants in the area.

We would not recommend a stay here. Beds very uncomfortable, we could barely get our luggage in our room as our hallway was full of laundry bags so hard to get in front of our door. We both said this is the losest place we have ever stayed, We needed to bring our luggage before check in time and they said they would take care of it leave it across from their desk. So we did assuming they had a locked room they would place it in. Came back at check in time and there was our luggage sitting right in the lobby still. The desk clerks often leave their station to take guests to their room so we felt our luggage could of been easily taken.
Their location is great by the Promeade however the other people that live in the same interior patio area were quite nosiy and made and woke us up by yelling late into the night.
I would never stay there again and don't recommend it at all. We marvel that they could retain a 2 star rating they were a no star in our book.

we had a smokerroom, which stank and was disgusting. We were not asked if smoker or nonsmoker-room.
The Bidet didnt really work.
Breakfast was a surprise and we became a coffee-refill, which was very nice.
The price was fortunatly low. So NO complaining at all! Parking situation could be difficult in summertime.

To noisy with open windows ( a lot of cars, mto during nights), no ventilation , but overall service is ok. Its far from the new, but most thing in normal condition. for this price possible to finf more better hotel without problem and more stars in more comfortable area.
Located 4min from beach.

Location is great being very central to all main attractions of Nice which was my main reason for choosing it. Rooms were clean and adequate although the shower in the room my wife's parents had, who were travelling with us, was tiny and awkward to access. No elevator although I knew this before I booked it.

la zona es centrica, cerca de la playa, pero de noche no es muy buena con prostitutas en la esquina, para un flia con chicos no es lo mejor....es por escalera, no hay ascensor, no es comoda ni muy limpia...no la recomiendo

Location!! This place is located just a block from the beach. The room was a pretty good size and the bed was comfortable. The staff was very helpful and spoke english. The only negative was the bathroom was a little small and the shower was pretty old, but besides that. I would stay here again. Great price for the location.

We took two double rooms, one was ok, but anther had fetid smell of sewerage. The staff was so kind to change the room on the second day. The next room was ok.
The overview of both "normal" rooms: they are not big, but enough for sleeping, the furniture is not new (one bed was shaking), but there are TV and air conditioning. The worst thing in these roomes were bath rooms. They looked dirty, there were hair in the bath and etc. We had to take shower wearing slippers. The rooms were a little bit noisy (neighbors and street)
So it you are going just to sleep there for cheap prise, it is ok.
BTW: The place is very-very good: 3 minutes walking from free beach; wonderful bakery, fruit-shop and snackbar with good breakfast next door!!!

What can you expect for this price? Nothing! So, we didn't expect anything! Room was crappy but enough
to get some sleep. Better not to inspect the room. Just sleep and get out. Why bother to have breakfast for 7 euro? No idea! There are many shops and cafes downstairs. Staff is pleasant. Not good for spending more than one or maximum, two night. Just a sleepover place, while traveling somewhere else. Oh, and my girlfriend enjoyed the gay male porno/fetish film from the 80's at midnight on the tv that has 4 channels. =)

Great location, 2 blocks from the beach and 10 min walk to train. Overall OK, but rooms are very samll. Which normally is fine, but no place to put ones suitcase, especially when we were there 4 nights. No lift! It was clean and safe so it met our standards.

We were one week in Nice. The location is excellent, because you arrived every interested or historical places by feet. With the cheap busses (the best will be a day-ticket directly from the airport) you can visited all nice places in Nice or around like Antibes, Monaco, Grasse and so on. The hotel is simply, but quit enough for sleeping, only.
They have nothing against to take no breakfast there. We did it in our room or eating generelly outside. It was our first time in Nice and when we have time again, we will stay there again. (Sorry, for my English)

Quiet and Big Room, but no water kettle inside the room either no hairdryer.
A little crowded bathroom with a little bit broken shower nozzle.
It is so nice to give me a family room although I only booked for a double room, but the pity was the double bed was combined by two single beds to cause some unconfortable sleeping from time to time.
However, the location is perfect, no matter it is quite near seaside and bus station. Even you can buy some food by 1 mins walking.

Med Hotel is a good base for a quick stay in Nice. Our room was gorgeous, with two big windows overlooking the street. The outside noise was almost unheard when both windows were shut. Interior walls are thin and we heard complete conversations... but this was only the once. The main problem is the bathroom - a great size and very clean, but very damp. A strong smell of mould. Spent as little time as possible there. TV and airconditioning in room. Didn't bother trying the breakfast as there were many boulangerie's in walking distance. A bit too far from the old town - 15 mins walk - for our liking.

The hotel is really closed to the center you will just have to walk for 5 mn to get to the restaurants area. One of the best is called QUEBEC. Regarding the hotel itself, everything was ok but one of the double room that we get (we had 1 double and 2 triple) seems to have been closed for a while and so the bathroom tubes smelt really bad at the beginning. Than it was also ok. Everything was clean and really pretty. One of our complain is about the wifi internet connection: it does not work very well.

The hotel is a current working building site, the rooms were smoking rooms and the smell was so bad we had to sleep with the windows open. The beds curtains, carpet were all drenched in cigarette smoke. The roof of the room had a big gaping hole in it. When asked if we could have an alternate room the staff said all the rooms smell like that. It was too terrible being an asthmatic it wasnt an enjoyable experience. Hence the low price we paid although the walk in price was 20EUR more which is an absolute rip off..

This is an excellent hotel for a visit to Nice, well situated close to the city centre and also to the beach. The rooms are not very large, but are clean and in good shape. The staff were also very friendly and of good help. We were traveling with small children, and they let us leave our trolley down in the reseption. This was nice, since they dont have an elevator, and the rooms are a little small. All in all, this is excellent value for the money!

It is difficult to grumble as we paid a very good price. I would say that although the room was OK, the batroom had a bad damp problem and there was a lot of mould on the walls and floor. The shower worked well though. The room was OK and not too noisy esp. as were on the first floor at the front. Bed was comfy enough and the staff were very friendly. Good location as well. 5 mins to beach/staion/shops. Would recommend this hotel if you are on a tight budget and are using it purely as a place to sleep.

would NOT recommend it. our room had a window which opened to a storage place for full garbage bags. so we had to keep windows shut at all times. shower was filthy and full of hair. later, when it was finally cleaned it turned out that water didnt drain properly. we were also given 3 towels for two people- 2 hand towels and one midium size towel. they refused to give us another room when we requested, just cleaned the shower and brought in more towels.

The room was in part quite good for the price. However, some basics need attention: No shower curtain in the bathroom and the mattress did not fit the bed frame, it hung over the sides. Also, smoking should not be allowed in the small breakfast room.

the room was quite small but ok. you clearly saw that the bathroom was not new, but it was functional. the only problem was the water temperature: it changed between freezing and almost boiling every couple of minutes. for young persons who want to stay in Nice for not much money, this hotel ist the right thing. If you have some higher attents, you'd rather look for another one. The walls between the rooms are not very thick, so if you have noisy neighboors you might be annoyed. The staff was really nice and helpful.

We booked a double-room and actually stayed in a triple room for the same price. The hotel is very close to the sea and you find cafes and a cinema with OV films nearby. It's situated in very close distance to the town centre. Friendly staff, we would definitely return for another stay.

The rooms were clean, although a bit small. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was so very hot the day that we stayed and there is no airconditioning in the rooms, although there was a fan. The heat is the only thing that made our stay slightly unpleasant. We had to sleep with the windows open and it was quite noisy outside, so between the heat and noise I had a terrible nights sleep. They were doing some improvements to the breakfast room while we were there and the hotel is very well situated. We did like it, it was just too hot! There was no lift, so you have to be able to lift your suitcase up the stairs. Also if you have a car you need to expect to pay about 20+ Euros to park your car in a parking house for one day.

1 Med was a good base to explore Nice and the Cote d'Azur. For the price I guess it was fair the only criticism that our room on the 3rd floor was at the end of a shabby corridor with wires and pipes exposed through holes in the wall. The bathroom was also a bit shabby (although clean enough). That said the rooms are a good size with modern, airy decor. I would probably stay there again if I was on a tight budget but splash out for something nicer if I could afford it

This hotel is DISGUSTING! The room was somewhat large but hardly clean. The first night, one of my friends got bitten by BEDBUGS!! And when we asked the front desk person to change the sheets, he refused but finally gave in after a 20 min long discussion about why we needed the sheets changed. The hallway leading to the room was full of construction materials: hammers, loose nails, buckets of plaster etc. On top of that, the hall lights didnt work and it's no wonder because there were EXPOSED WIRES in the hallway. There was a balcony in the room, but it was covered with construction materials as well as old bathtubs, toilets and other garbage. There was no A/C or a fan in the room and we had to keep the balcony door closed at all times because of the mosquitos so needless to say it was very uncomfortable sleeping there. Also, the beds were very, very uncomfortable and the shower in the bathroom leaked all over the place. The toilet also didn't flush very well. The surrounding area is okay. Close to the promenade and the bar next door has pretty decent croissants for breakfast. To get to Old Nice where the nightlife and restaurants are located, you have to walk for about 20 min. Overall this was the crappiest hotel we stayed in on our 6 week tour of Europe. We knew that it was not the Ritz or anything and the other hotels we stayed in also didn't have many amenities, but this place was downright dirty! The staff was unwelcoming and unhelpful and like I said before, there were BEDBUGS!!!! Stay away from this place...I am sure there are plenty of other hotels in Nice in the same price range that aren't filthy and gross!

The Med Hotel is a nice place to stay, right in the middle of Nice. The rooms very not very clean but besides everything was great.
The Negresco is very close by and open for public visitors, and the park is a recommanded place for a great view over Nice.

in a nice neighborhood- close to the sea, with a good selection of small restaurants and eateries, cafes, shops and other things- relatively lively surroundings. some stores are open till late, fairly convenient.
hotel itself is not impressive, although entrance is somewhat charming. staff is friendly, helpful to a certain extent (not too efficient). we reserved a double room, but ended up with 1 double bed and 2 single beds.. not sure why. the bathroom: small and narrow. but the most problem we had was to keep the water from spilling out the shower. could be a bit noisy, since the street comes alive with pedestrians early in the morning, but we didn't have much trouble with noise during the night. good for the price & location.
