We stayed in Medicis Hotel 7 nigths and enjoyed it very much. The room was clean and spacious, the hotel is in a perfect position: only 150 meters from the central railway station and a short walk to the marvellous promenade de Anglais on the sea.

This is our third stay at the Medicis in two years. Standard has been consistent, staff competent and friendly. Only a few minutes from the station, so a good base for exploring further afield, and about 15 - 20 minutes' walk to the Old Town.

Very disappointed with this hotel. The room was dirty and had an unpleasant smell to it. The bed was one of the most uncomfortable I have ever tried to sleep in.
We were locked out one night because the night porter had left the hotel to get a drink. Glad there were no ploblems while he was away.
I would never stay in this hotel again. The amazing thing about our stay is that we did stay for the four nights that were booked. Would not do that again.

the first words uttered from the man at reception was that venere customers don't get breakfast included (even though i was sure breakfast was included). Intriguing then that when I checked out I was charged for breakfasts that i didn't have - was well located to the station however.

Beautifully decorated, elegant, spacious & clean rooms. Front desk staff multi-lingual & very helpful & friendly. We didn't realise there was a breakfast room, & I think breakfast was extra. Would stay there again.

Very friendly staff, receptionist allowed us access to room / storage for luggage before official check-in and avised on local tours / attractions. The bar / retaurant [Sunfish] is alongside.....seemed very quiet when we were there, late Oct. Room was very pleasant if slightly cramped, but this was only because our daughter used the sofa bed. Otherwise our room would have been more than adequate for 2 adults. Very close to SNCF station, as described. Only about 15 mns walk from the seafront and Promenade des anglais. A good value bet.

The staff were very friendly ,helpful and spoke english. We did not think the breakfast was all that good not much variety for continental.Location states 50 metres from train station but more like 300 metres, and 10 min from beach, but more like 20 mins. The sunfish cafe was excellent food and drinks and the staff were very friendly. overall we enjoyed our stay.

There is no way this place is a 3 star hotel. Service with attitude. You get a dirty look from the staff if you ask for a second cup of coffee for which you paid $10 for (Bad breakfast by the way). Stay away from this place.

The staff treat you like human beings: very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was a little inadequate (mostly cold stuff, nothing hot) and you have to get in early to get good choices. The room was meant to be a 'double superior' but I think that only means you get a couch in addition... On the whole though, a fine choice.

The room was small, but quiet, clean, and comfortable. Unfortunately, the hotel can be especially dark because the lights are usually off in the hallways.
The hotel is a 15 minute walk from the beaches and the main eateries. Although the location close to the station makes day trips convenient, I felt less than completely comfortable when walking around the hotel at night. The train station attracts some sketchy individuals (including prostitutes) in the evening. Nothing to be scared about, but I would be wary.
You can save the hassle by paying 30 Euro more for an equivalent hotel closer to the core area. It all depends on your personality and budget.
Overall, I would recommend the hotel with the caveat that the distance and neighbourhood make it less than ideal for many.

We enjoyed this hotel, close to the Nice station and the rooms were clean and just what you need when sightseeing. The bathrooms look new and although the rooms are small you do not need anything else. The only drawbacks are the rooms are close together and so you can hear your neighbour and the area the hotel is located in is not the best although we did not feel unsafe even at night.

Very nice hotel with spacious room, very clean but check the bill, we were charged the wrong rate and breakfast were added (we did not have any). Very closed to town. Take the 99 bus, direct from the airport or 23 bus but it takes a bit longer.

What a wonderful place! The staff were fanatastic. we staggered in from a long train trip and were greeted genuinely and enthusiastically. Maps of Nice were provided without asking and suggestions were made for a quick way to Vieux Nice. The room was delightful esp the big white fluffy towels. The beds were very comfortable. Would recommend it highly!
