They never told us they had free wifi services. This would have saved us a bundle as we got a global card from the US which cost more than the room per day. We also were not told that every hotel has orange wifi access throughout france despite my asking the front desk staff about how to get wifi cards in france and running around all over town for local options. Carpets were really dirty --you couldn't tell until you looked at the bottom of your feet. Also, the towels were really rough. We were happy with the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. They stored our baby milk and baby food in their staff fridge for us. Also gave us useful info on how to get to places.

The Hotel Little Palace was a great value. When in Nice we will stay there again. The rooms were nicely furnished and very clean (especially considering the price we paid). The staff was courteous and helpful. I would reccommend printing a better map and/or directions. The map that printed with our itinerary was not complete enough. Overall, 2 thumbs up from the Thomas family.

excellent holiday, never been to nice before but we loved it, and will return next year. could spend weeks in the bars and restaurants. only downside of this hotal was that it was a bit of a walk to the old town BUT very clean, excellent aircon and metal shutters to make room SO dark we could've slept all day!

The only downside to this hotel was the very poor breakfast. Yoghurt, croissants and baguettes. Not worth the 8 euros. Other than that I would highly recommend the place. Nice people, convenient location to train station, sea front and tourist areas. If I was going back to Nice I would certainly stay here.

Little Palace is a great 2 stars hotel, it's clean. Location is perfect, between gare station and beach. However, room is not large enough for two people. Highly recommend for mature couple, group and single traveller.

A very good value in Nice. We stayed here two nights as a end-point for a 10-day trip to many parts of France. As I expected it is definitely not a luxury accommodation by any stretch of the imagination because the rooms are tiny, the beds were a bit firm for my liking and the decorating was very sparse. On the plus side the location is excellent! Just a few blocks from the sea, a short drive to the airport and about a 10 minute brisk walk to the TGV station. Everything about the hotel was very clean and orderly. The staff were not exceptionally friendly and I don't think I saw a smile on anyone's face the entire time but they were never hesitant to answer questions in English or arrange a cab for the airport. Overall a great value for the money. I would definitely stay here again in the future whenever travels bring me to Nice.

Not a Little Palace. Location not great and a lot further away from the Promenade des Anglais and the Train Station than led to believe - actually a good 10 minute walk. Hotel fittings and furnishings dated. Beds comfortable however. Room adequate. Bolster pillows only and one extra pillow between two people supplied. Bathroom tiny and impossible to stand in shower or even sit in bath and shower without drenching whole bathroom. Don't think I'll be making a repeat visit :-(

The hotel was within walking distance of the train station. It was also just a 10 minute walk up to the Promenade. For our family of four the room was tight but perfectly acceptable. The owners were helpful in recommending resturants etc. I actualy liked the fact that it was a little off the beaten path.

Excellent situation, walking distance to train station, beaches and old town. Good value for money in expensive Nice. Breakfast 8 Euros, fair value with yoghurt, fruit, cheese, jams several kinds of bread etc. Neighbourhood interesting with several bars, cafés and small shops. Recommended

After coming from a not-so-great room in Aix-en-Provence for a similar rate, we were quite delighted to have such a clean, large, room (2 double beds and places to put our large cases) within a short walk from the centre of Nice, the sea-front and the restaurants. The bathroom in particular was sumptuous. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and spoke good English. We could actually see the ocean from our balcony. The balcony doors included shutters to reduce the noise from the street. We have no hesitation recommending this lovely hotel, especially to an older couple like us. Compared to other hotels on our trip, this was probably the best value-for-money we struck.

We enjoyed our stay at this very pleasant well located hotel. The walk from the railway station with luggage took us much longer than 2 minutes - closer to 10 including negotiating the steps from Thiers Avenue. Avenue Baquis where the hotel is located is not identified on the map. We used Nice as a base for travel to Grasse, Monaco and Digne.

This hotel was superior for a 2star property. we had a wonderful meal at SARL MORA, 16 Rue Halevy on our first night, and a great tasting value priced breakfast at TEMPLE BAR, 12 Rue Halevy. The hotel breakfast seemed bland for the money.

The rooms are very basic and the pillows are a disgrace and also a health hazard. When I mentioned it at the front desk I was informed that the ownwer was aware of clients complaints but nothing has been done about it. I would not stay here again and my advice for others is look for a better deal in the wide range of other hotels in Nice.

The hotel is run by a father/daughter team who go out of their way to make your stay pleasant. It is a clean hotel with a great location. The only issue we had was that the air conditioning wasn't working all that well, but the weather was pleasant.

My wife and I stayed in the Little Palace for three nights at the beginning of June. Nice can be a very expensive place to stay but we found this hotel offered excellent value and quality. Staff were very courteous and helpful and the hotel is very convenient to all that Nice has to offer. On our last visit to Nice, about three years ago, there were extensive roadworks everywhere, but we now see the benefit of the upheaval. An extensive tram system is up and running and the main shopping streets are now very pedestrian friendly. All in all, the Little Palace is a great little hotel in a very pleasant city to visit.

Stayed in a quadruple room that had two double size beds. Very very tiny room. Felt cramped, but clean bathroom compensated for it. The sign can easily be missed as it is flushed high up on the front and the building number was not conspicuous. We walked passed it!

Good location with a car, on the outskirts of the city but close to beach area, restaurants, train. Parking on street or garage. We were in and out so didnt see much of hotel. Room was spacious clean, nice bathroom. Front desk was pleasant, helpful. Reasonable price.

After a 3 and a half week tour of France by car with my parents, and numerous hotels, bed and breakfasts and cottage rentals later, we unanimously rate this hotel as the best valued, hotel type accommodation we stayed at. It was clean, modern, spacious, nicely decorated, and rare for France, had very comfortable, firm beds and good soundproofed rooms. Service was friendly. While not strictly located in the heart of the action, it is only a pleasant, short walk to the beach and central Nice. It is also conveniently close to the train station for day trips outside of Nice. There is no shower curtain and the towels are hard, but these did not detract from a happy and enjoyable stay at this hotel. My family and I would not hesitate to stay at Little Palace again.

Little Palace was a very good surprise. Huge bathroom, no courtain though. The bedroom is really spacious and the surrounding are good, close to the casinos and walking areas. Very good option. Car parking is available just in the street, is not that busy and you always find a parking spot. Luggage starge very convenient. Definitely would go back.

The only complaint we had is the lack of a shower. We had to take baths for the five days we stayed at the Little Palace. Also the coffee at the hotel is terrible. Other than that the hotel was nicely placed between the promenade and the train station as advertised and/or reported by others. We had two spacious beds which was an extra and English language TV. The Little Palace is a good place to stay for those on a budget.

very conveniently located, quite accessible, 10min walk from the train station, with a fair number of good restaurants within walking distance, a supermarket right beside the hotel. we checked-in quite late (about 8pm) and the lady at the reception was quite helpful- gave us a map and recommended a good inexpensive vietnamese restaurant 5 mins away from the hotel. the toilet while clean though has no shower curtains and the towels are quite scruffy!! I ignored this when I first read about this in the reviews and learned first hand how messy it can quickly be. we only stayed overnight so i did not give it much weight.

Hotel Little Palace is clean and sweet with larger-than-expected, quieter, cleaner rooms and friendlier, more efficient staff than I dared to expect for the excellent price. The location is also absolutely ideal for those wanting to take advantage of all that Nice can offer and be in walking distance to the train in order to take day-trips to surrounding towns. We have traveled to other places in France and across Europe and this hotel is easily the best for the money. We have paid three times more for smaller rooms and service that was no better. There is also a small market next door to the hotel, which makes an in-room breakfast an option if one does not want to splurge on the great hotel breakfast or which allows for a quick purchase of a snack for the road or the evening.

The hotel staff were fantastic. There was a problem with the air conditioning which made our small attic room (which was very pretty) too hot to sleep in, so the staff upgraded us to a bigger room on a lower floor. They were very friendly. The area is fantastic - really good restaurants everywhere, train station is close, and it's walking distance to the major attractions. Would definitely stay again.
