Good hotel; although very much standard. However, most 'affordable' NY hotels are appalling; therefore this one is definitely a good choice. The proximity to subway and Time square/Manhatten is a huge plus and worked out perfectly; you wouldn't spend less time in public transportation if you book a hotel downtown NY. (times square aprox. 10 min by subway) The free wireless access comes in handy if you travel with a laptop. Due to its recent opening it is very clean and well maintained. We actually enjoyed the laid back and authentic neighborhood that gives you a break from the quite overwhelming downtown urban pace. We would definitely stay there again if the price remains reasonable.

Overall good stay in this hotel. However, it's not easy to find, and most of the taxi drivers didn't know where it was.

I was on a business trip, it was a clean and quite hotel having free internet access and near to subway station, to shops and church. I had a brief but very comfortable stay. I'll come back again to this place in future visits to NY.

Situated in an industrial-area the Quality Inn`s neighbourhood doesn´t invite its guests for a moonshine walk arround the block, but it´s only two subway stops away from Manhattan with a subway station just a three minute walk away. The hotel itself is modern, very clean and the housekeeping is doing a very good job. I stayed 4 nights with a friend in standard room with a private bathroom, that wasn´t too big, but compared to hotelrooms in Manhattan where I´ve been before, it was spacious. My experience is that you probably have to pay twice as much for a similiar accomodation in Manhattan. I´ve seen friendlier hotel staff before, but they were helpfull and it was no problem to check in early and they also looked after our baggage after checking out as we had a late flight home. Suprisingly the hotel offers also a free breakfast, which isn´t standard in New York Hotels at all. As it is for free, there is nothing to complain about, but we prefered Manhattan´s coffeeshops anyway. Resumee: If you don´t have the money for the good but expensive first class hotels this hotel is an excellent alternative to many tiny and sometimes dirty hotels you will find for the same money in Manhattan.
