The Henry Howard House Inn is situated one block off St. Charles Avenue in the historic Lower Garden District of New Orleans, around 1.5 miles (2.5km) southwest of the French Quarter.

Key attractions in the area include the Audubon Zoological Gardens, Tulane University and Lafayette Cemetery No 1.

The mansion was built in 1850 by renowned New Orleans architect Henry Howard (1804-1875).

Over the years it has been through many renovations, and it wasn't until 2004 when John and Gayle Gish, the current owners, combined the newest state-of-the-art amenities such as HDTV (high definition television) and Wi-Fi high-speed Internet access with the charm and ambience of this 150 year-old architectural jewel.

HOW TO REACH THE HOTEL

By car
From Louis Armstrong International Airport:
Take the I-10 east to US Bus 90. Get off at Carondelet/St. Take the Charles exit and go straight through 3 traffic lights to Prytania Street. Turn left on Prytania and go 12 blocks to the inn on the corner of Josephine and Prytania.

From the West:
Take I-10 West across the Crescent City Connection Bridge, getting off at Camp Street. Stay in the right lane and follow the road around to Magazine Street. Turn right on Magazine Street and go under the overpass and on the first block, turn right at Erato Street. Go 2 blocks and turn left onto Prytania. Go 10 blocks to the inn at the corner of Josephine and Prytania.

By public transport
The Streetcar stops at the corner of St. Charles and Josephine, one block north of the inn at Prytania and Josephine.

Boasting a charming 1850's setting, the main parlour at the Henry Howard House Inn can host between 30 and 70 people for business presentations, sales meetings, cocktail parties or intimate weddings.

METHODS OF PAYMENT
Venere.com does not debit your credit card for your reservations. You will be asked to insert your credit card details which will be sent to the property only as a guarantee of the reservation. The bill will then have to be settled directly at the hotel.
