| The hotel is easily accessible by car and within walking distance of public transportation, allowing guests to reach the historical centre of Naples in 15 minutes.
Walking down the hill, guests can arrive in a few minutes to the Mergellina harbour, with departing ferries to Ischia, Capri and Procida. |

The hotel was almost empty but we got a room on the back stage, in front of a wall. Of course, they are not obliged to give us a better room, but a good occasion lost to satisfy the customer at the best and easily.

Th bar staff were sometimes hard to find and the stock of food at breakfast was not always replenished as required which was a nuisance. Ran out of coffee, hot milk and bacon on several mornings. reception staff friendly and helpful particularly in finding good local retaurants.

Excellent hotel with fantastic views of the Bay of Naples. Convenient parking, good rate. Helpful front desk staff. Restaurant good for breakfast, ordinary for lunch/dinner even though it, too, has a great view. Highly recommended.

The sea view rooms are definetely worth the small extra fee. The view is wonderful of the bay and surrounding areas such as: museums, castles, shopping. The staff was more than helpful with maps and directions to destinations ans they also arranged our pickups and tours in advance. Trams, subways, and public transportation saves you quite a bit but if you are unfamiliar with the city the taxis are the way to go. 10 Euro would take you about any place in the city. We did not have any unexpected problems such as: pickpockets, rude people, over pricing, etc. Overall a wonderful experience and I think Naples is a must see for not only the historic sights but the shopping as well. And, Capri is a must!

The people of the reception are not especially friendly. When leaving the Hotel we thanked for everything and gave our farewell. They didn't even lift their faces or say goodbye. The attention in the Restaurant was excellent.

On the hill above Mergellina in a quiet part of Naples - above the hustle & bustle.
Great views from seaward facing rooms & restaurant.
Handy for funicular & thence for ferries/jetfoils to Ischia, etc.

A fairly typical Best Western hotel in terms of quality and standards and it has an exceptional view across the Bay of Naples - hence the name of the hotel. However, don't expect such a view from anything other than the lounge and restaurant unless you are willing to pay premium rates. Located some distance from the centre of Naples which can be a problem if you want to tour the city but it is quiet and in a very safe neighbourhood.
Chosen because a funicular seemed to offer good access to the harbour front but this runs infrequently at weekends and closes quite early at night during the week. The alternative is a long walk to the sea front (and a long climb back) or taxis which are expensive - I calculate about 2 Euros per minute's drive.
Decent continental breakfast included in the price and the hotel stocks some very good wines. If you are into name dropping, the taxi drivers told us that Maradonna used the hotel regularly as a retreat when he played for Napoli. If I were to retun to Naples I would look for a hotel closer to the city centre but the hotel was not a disappointment.

Although a single room is always quite an expensive issue the Paradiso is such a lovely hotel that I was happy to pay the price. It is situated in the Posilipo area which is quite a distance from the centre of Naples but the Feniculore (cable-car) gets you to the outskirts of town in less than 15 minutes. The view from the restaurant is just awesome (the food was rather yummy too). The service was polite, polished and helpful in all areas. I would definitely stay at the Paradiso again!
