Pasquale was fantastic! He greeted us at the elevator and walked my bag into the room. He even walked us to the taxi stop the day that we left (again carrying my bag). I'm glad that we took a taxi to the property rather than try to find it on our own since I would likely have missed the entrance.

Fabulous central location in a building full of character. Quiet, modern room and an outstanding welcome. Highly recommended.

Hotel is very hard to find as no sign is out side of building the exterior photo is accurate and we had the room that the photo shows. To find the hotel you need to go in via the large center door and find a security guard and he will send you up the elevator (we used the stairs other times) do not let the interior of the building turn you off the the actual rooms are very nice and the manager was very very helpful

It is too difficult to find the hotel. There is tree reasons. 1-That building photo which was sent you by e-mail is the next building. 2-You cannot find out that hotel's sign easily. But you can find a very small spell on the small calling bell beside a big wooden door. 3-If you ring the bell,no one appears. You must go into the building when someone open the door by the key and go up to the second floor by the stairs. After that you can know there is an old elevator.

This hotel isn't easy to find. The rooms are very quiet and clean. This hotel is situated in an ideal place: the bus from the airport let you at 200 meters from the hotel, near the port for Capri, and all the interests points are around this place. So, don't hesitate!

The hotel is small and there is no public area i.e. no lounge and no breafast. However the rooms are very quiet, quite new, comfortable and well equipped with aircon and fridge. the location is also convenient and the architecture original.

Hotel is in great location, very central. The room we were in was very clean, roomy, and nicely decorated, minibar and all. The only down side was they don't provide breakfast and the bathroom from the room next to us I think was in our room, coz we could hear EVERYTHING! Plus I hope you don't mind other people touching your stuff coz everything was rearranged to the way the maid liked it - from toothbrushes & toothpaste to hairbrushes and even our clothes were all moved around, so much so we had to go looking for stuff - bit weird!

Naples is for someone who has been to all the key places in Italy. This hotel is a great bargain and the owner a lovely person. Quiet, well located, clean and I enjoyed our stay there a lot. You could spend 3 times as much for the same room someplace else. It is inside an ancient building that looks funky as you go up the elevator, but is quite secure and the inside dispells all fears.

The first impression of the building was a little unnerving but the room was perfect. It was a completely renovated room inside an old building. The room was a very clean and quiet. The Hotel manager did not speak english but was pleasant and courteous.

Great location in Naples! Nice, simple, rooms in an interesting old palace with a friendly owner. The "Hotel Plebiscito Due" is much less of a hotel or B&B than it is an apartment with rooms to rent. That being said, it was a little difficult to find (even several local restaurant employees didn't know where it was) and our flight arrived late in the evening so we had to get help from some other friendly locals to call the owner and have him drive from his home outside of the city to meet us. Point is, arrive early and speak at least a little Italian. Beyond that, I'd highly recommend the Plebiscito Due (and the little cafe around the corner offering superb orange-chocolate filled croissants).

Fastest route is the R2 bus from outside the station to Trieste e Trente which drops you just the other side of the piazza Plebiscito. Don't attempt the journey on foot with a suitcase!! Pasquale is very welcoming & friendly, and will answer any questions although with little English. He will also volunteer information & advice on what to see in Napoli. Cafe Gambrinus next door is fabulous for coffee & cake, and there are two cafes downstairs with seating in the piazza which are also a nice place to rest weary feet & have a energy boosting espresso, or a refreshing cold beer.

This was our first, and probably last time to Naples but definitely not because of this hotel. This hotel does take Visa unlike some of the other reviews have indicated. And like most of the reviews have indicated, this hotel is difficult to find. The street address is a large door/arch (depending on the time of the day) and you must take the external elevator to Floor 2. Once you find the hotel, however, the owner (who I think is only at the property when you check-in and when you check-out unless he is also the one cleaning the room) is very friendly and very helpful. He handed us maps and information for many local attractions (including maps of Capri and Sorrento - two of our destination while in Naples). Although he mainly speaks Italian, his gestures and limited English allowed for communication without problems. Like I said, he is very helpful. We were to be renting a car for two days of our visit and he immediately provided information for a nearby overnight garage to park the car. The room is also very nice (for the price). It looks very new and is quite spacious! Although there is no breakfast provided, the mini bar (full of sodas, water, and some snacks) is very reasonably priced. The hotel is not conveniently located to the train station (take a taxi to avoid walking through some dirty areas of Naples like we did), but it is very conveniently located for doing almost everything else in Naples. This really is a great hotel for the price!

Everything (location, cleaniness, room spaciousness, host, pricing etc.) is fine except the entrance. Once getting in the big gate in the street (as shown in the picture), you will find yourself in a very old, quiet and a bit dark courtyard. To be honest, I felt a bit scary and insecured and thought I was in the wrong place at that moment. The "hotel" (I personnaly think it is more like an inn) is in fact located in the second floor of this ancient building. But location is excellent, close to everything (port, shopping, bus-stop).

would stay again, the owner was fantastic. room was great, to find it go to the cafe then through the arch. someone will call the owner who will be there in 5 mins. not really a hotel you have your own keys and treat it as a appartment. the mini bar is well priced, bottled water is cheaper than if you bought it on the street. it is very central to everything and is in a great area. the cafe downstairs has great food and service. owner speaks some english and is very helpful. i had washed a few items and put them on the towel rail to dry while we spent the day at capri, came back to find he had installed a small clothes line from our window, very thoughtful. warning- do not take a crowded bus i had my wallet stolen from my bag. apart from that everything was perfect, thank you.

We arrived in Naples late in the evening and following advice from friends, had decided that we would head to Sorrento as soon as possible. However, when we arrived at the piazza where the hotel is located (after being ripped off by the taxi from the airport) we were pleasantly suprised. The area is lively and attractive and the ancient building which houses the 'hotel' has plenty of character. (The accommodation would be better described as a collection of rooms on the fourth floor of a building, rather than a hotel). It's right by a palace and is also very handy for the ferry port, about a 10 minute walk. Having found and negotiated the very small door in the large wooden gates that enclosed the coutryard beyond we ascended the 400 year old staricase, rather than taking our chances with the antique lift, and recieved a friendly, if basic, reception. The room was clean and smart and perfectly suited to our needs. It's a good base for a brief stay in Naples or if you are planning a lot of day trips. It's not a place where you would spend a lot of time as there are no views and feels very tucked away, despite it's proximity to major public spaces. I would certainly recommend Plebisctio Due to friends looking for good value and conveninet accommodation in Naples.

This is without a doubt a little gem of a find. The hotel is superbly located in the best area of Naples and right next door to Cafe Gambrinas. Perfect if you are going to the opera house as well. The host was lovely we took on board the comments from other guests about cash payments so there was no trouble checking in. The place is easy to find exactly as the picture, the entrance is through a blackdoor in the centre of the building which leads you into a courd yard of a charming old building ,while from the outside looks a little rundown (but it all adds to the charm), the interior was spotless, rooms modern and as picture. There is a bit of room to room noise but nothing that bothered us.No breakast but croissants and mini bar in the room also the best cafe in Naples just outside. We would definately stay there again very good value for money.

Best place to stay in Napoli! Very secure location, a few steps from the opera house San Carlo, to the pedestrian zone and to the harbour Beverello if you want to go to Capri, Ischia, Sorrento, etc. Our room in the 2nd floor (elevator) was quiet, spacious and very clean with a new bathroom. Special compliments and thanks go to the owner, Pasquale, a very friendly and gentle man who helped us with any information we needed. Grazie mille! We highly recommend this place and want to come back as soon as possible.

Even when I knew that the location was a little hard to find, it took a kind policemen making a phone call to find the right door (we were standing 20 ft from it). The room was fine, although you could hear people next door talking.. But the price is right and its an adventure taking that little elevator.

CASH ONLY! Misleading advertisement indicating credit cards were accecpted. This is a great place to stay in Naples. It is very convient to everything, very clean, quiet, and, secure. Host is very helpful except when it comes to payment. Sign outside building with hotel name would help travelers find it.

This economic and centrally located place is a little gem. Inconspicuously hidden in the backyard of an old building overlooking one of the most beautiful spots of Naples, this is not your average hotel. Forget the illuminous neon sign pointing the way to the hotel, forget the breakfast room and the reception providing various services around the clock: you will find neither. However, when you have located the hotel you will find a lovely and welcoming man who provides you a clean, spotless and tastefully furnished room, as well as any information you might need. I had the impression most rooms faced the backyard, which is a huge advantage given the terrible traffic in Naples. We did hear a bit of noise from a neighboring room, though. If you don't mind having breakfast a the bar downstairs (where they perhaps serve you the best coffee in town), the only real disadvantage is that the hotel is on the second floor and that the lift costs 10 cents. The walkway leading to the lift might make you a little vertiginous, in which case you'll have to walk the stairs. Should I return to Naples, I'd call this hotel first.

The owner met us when we arrived (at 11.30pm). The hotel was full, so we were shown to the "residence" instead - this was an amazing mini flat. The decor was fabulous, apartment was spacious, was in the best, most central and lively location. Couldn't have asked for more!

We got lost in a rentalcar in Rome, so it was 9.30pm before we got on the train to Naples. We called the hotel; No problem! The Owner (we think) met us there to let us in and show the room, ten past midnight. Smiling. His english was better than my italian. There had been a doublebooking, so he gave us an appartment, excellent!!! He was so helpfull, we could not ask for more. If I ever visit Naples again, I will stay at this hotel.

I am very glad we choose this hotel. It's in a nice part of town and we were lucky enough to be upgraded to an apartment which was lovely - a real oasis of calm in a pretty crazy city. I don't think we could have done better for accomodation at this price. We had a bit of trouble finding the place - my advice is to get to Piazza del Plebiscito and go the the arched entrance next to Caffè Gambrinus.

Anna and Pasquale made our stay so fun and relax at the same time. the room is very, very quiet and the sugestions of the owners to visit the more interesting places was the mix ideal to know napoli so well. The hotel are in the autentic monumental centre, with a lot of security for the tourist, many restaurant, place to visit so close an the best place for ice creams just beside the entrance. The hotel have a very good looking controller to keep the security on the flat. This make your stay more recreative. I´ll come back to napoli. Kisses to Anna y Pasquale

This 'hotel' bears no resemblance to the picture or description on the website (because it's a completely different property). The hotel was difficult to find - a tiny door set in a very large door and only possible to find the correct bell when immediately outside. Once inside the inner courtyard I thought I had entered the wrong building. It is dreadfully dirty and run down looking almost derelict. This old palace certainly hasn't been renovated since it was built. A lift runs up the wall and exits onto a narrow landing with a drop of 2 floors - if you have trouble with heights it's 99 steps to walk up!! Once in the 'hotel' it, again, bears no relation to the description: there is no lobby, no TV room, no snack machine. Simply a tiny office (which was rarely staffed), a coffee machine (extremely noisy) and doors to 2 rooms. I've no idea where the other 4 rooms are located. The room was immaculate, spacious, air conditioned and comfortable. The 'balcony' was a narrow railed ledge with a view down the filthy & dilapidated interior courtyard. Although the website states credit cards are accepted we were asked for payment in cash - fine if you can get cash from the bank, embarrassing if you can't. The room was quiet as long as there was no-one in the next room - you could hear almost every sound especially from the bathroom. If you want a hot shower in the morning you have to be sure to be up before the people in the next room - you'll certainly know when they are! Apart from that the owner was very friendly and helpful (although he speaks little English), the room was clean and comfortable and overall fairly reasonably priced.

Difficult to find, but worthed once you did. At first it is as if it does not exist. The rooms are tucked away in different angles inside a giant palazzo on piazza T.e T. There is no sign anywhere on the piazza, according to the owner, because of the Soprintendenza not allowing signs on monuments. enter the courtyard behind the large door in the middle of the piazza, to the right of two bars. Walk up the huge exterior staircase and the owner will magically appear. there is also a spectacular elevator, but not for the fainthearted. AC is charged extra. only necessary when really hot, or for those who cannot sleep without the noise of the AC. The owner is very helpful and really nice.

Our staying at the hotel was fantastic. We were warmly welcomed by the owner with the great news that we had actually been upgraded to the "residence" instead of the standard bedroom, for the same price. The residence was a spacious duplex with kitchen, dinner table, TV and a sofa on the first floor and the bedroom with a fully-equipped bathroom on the top floor. The place had been fully renovated, it was bright, ample and very comfy. The location was simply fabulous! My only regret was having spent only one night there in Naples. We highly recommended it.
