Bien situé pour les transports : train, bus.
Double vitrage très efficace pour le bruit.
Petits déjeuners "tristounets" (qualité du pain à revoir, choix très limité, service a minima).
Hôte d'accueil très serviable.
Globalement, une adresse à recommander.

Enso very helpfull, all staff made big effort to accommodate us, and as my wife was recovering from an operation ,this made us feel very comfortable under the circumstances.
hot water ran out one morning......but half an hour later was fine...could have been the number of people all having showers at the same time...? please pass on our warm thanks to all the staff, especially Enso.
thanks,
Donald and Rosaleen Lucking.

Area around was pretty rough but guide books told us this. There was no toilet seat and despite requesting one every day it was never provided. Two mornings the breakfast had no cereals - we weren't late -despite a supermarket being practically next door. that left only bread and stodge as breakfast was very basic. The television had only Italian programmes.

We originally selected this hotel because we were going to be traveling from San Francisco, to London, to Naples – we wanted to be near the train station. However, we ended up getting a car which thank goodness the hotel has parking! A review we read said it perfectly…”San Pietro is a diamond in the rough”. To get there seems easy enough, but due to the construction, the spider web of Naples Streets, and the open market that surrounds the hotel in the day – the 15 minute drive from the airport took us over an hour. We knew we were close, we just couldn’t get to it with all the detours. We said a “hail Mary” - hooked a sharp right into a mini street that had a beautiful old church in it. We came to a stop, crying with exhaustion and there it was….San Pietro Hotel with a car spot out front! (we never drove again!) The staff was fantastic, our room was VERY big and clean – we had a balcony and a hot shower. The location is NOT touristy – it is very local. They told us to be smart, and to not keep any money out. We are “city” people, so we weren’t that nervous – but Naples is definitely a different beast. Great place to explore from – the train station is walking distance 5 minutes. As you know, the stations attract somewhat of a seedy element. Though Naples was just supposed to be a mini stop to our Almafi destination, it was an experience of a life time. The people were tough, but friendly, the history amazing, the pizza out of this world. We would stay here again!

Service at the hotel was outstanding until we got up at 3:15am to take showers. There was no hot water despite letting it run for ten minutes in case the problem was due to the time of day. The hair dryer was also broken. The cord was visibly detached so I was shocked that nobody had noticed it and fixed it while cleaning our room the previous day. We had to check out at 4:30am so we could not get a rate adjustment at that time because a manager was not on duty. After returning to the U.S., several emails to the hotel and specifically the manager, went unanswered. We finally called and were told our emails had not been received. Following more emails to the same addresses that mysteriously had not been received- we were emailed a response that the boiler's working now and the hair dryer has been fixed. There was no offer of a reduced rate. This hotel does not fully understand the importance of customer satisfaction.

L'hôtel est très bien, propre, bien situé, entre la gare et le centre. Le quartier est animé, il y a un petit marché en bas, l'hôtel est bien insonorisé. Ceci dit, la décoration et l'ambiance sont très kitsch et bourgeoise.

1. Arrived by Taxi from airport aT afternoon. Driver charged to much (Euro 50,-). Went to hotel reception for help. Didnot react and when mentioning I had reservation he said hotel booked out. It turned out he didnot speak a word english or otherlanguage than italian. After showing reservation papers he finely handed out only one of the 2 keys for our reseved two rooms. An awfull experience.
2.When checking out the one bag given to the hotel for safe storage could not be found . We had to leave without the bag whilst Hotel staff did not accept any responsabilityfor the loss. Same reaction lateron by e-mailing with the the Hotel managment

San Pietro was conveniently located and the hotel provided free parking. It was necessary to call the hotel and have staff meet our car to escort us to the hotel because it is difficult for a tourist to find.
The room and bath were adequate. There was a tub and hand held shower wand and no shower door or curtain, so avoiding flooding the room was tricky. Since the room was in the back, there was no street noise. Sometimes there was noise in the hallway but never late at night.
Breakfast was good and attractively served. When the room became crowded, the server had difficulty clearing the tables, replenishing the food, and making the coffee.
We were pleased with the location, service, and cleanliness of the room and would definitely return.

It was our first time. The hotel was magnificent The hotel was clean and the service was excellent as well. I was travelling with my husband and we enjoy our room. It was big enough, we had a safe deposit box in our room and it was included in the price. Breakfast was complete and had a nice selection.

El hotel esta muy bien ubicado y es muy bonito. La habitacion muy comoda y bien equipada ,el sector para desayunar era un poco chico en relacion al hotel y a la gente que habia. El servicio para el desayuno fue mediocre.

San Pietro is a beautiful small hotel with outstanding courteous staff. We experienced difficulty in finding the hotel and the web site was (we felt) incorrect. However, finding the hotel we encountered every bit of assistance and courtesy. The breakfast served was simple and elegant. Access to transportation was close. A real glimpse of Naples working and shopping was outside the hotel to be enjoyed. I would recommend the hotel highly.

As indicated by previous reviewers, this hotel is good quality in a somewhat undesirable area. Its advantage is proximity to the railway station. Once you're inside the door it's a congenial environment with good room, bathroom, breakfast and friendly service.

C'est bien pire à New York, Paris, Bruxelles ...

Wonderful hotel for the price. Although many are put off by the location, it is very convenient to both train stations and close to the Centro Historico section of Naples. I did not feel unsafe walking back to the hotel in the evening. Only thing lacking is internet access although there is an internet point right around the corner. Definitely recommend this hotel.

A large room well furnitured, decent atmosphere of public lounge, we enjoyed our three days stay. The only but serious drawback is the frontdesk at nighttime. Not only he didn't speak English, he didn't make any effort to help his customers. On the occasion I asked towels from our bathroom, he replied that he didn't understand me and I should wait until eight at the next morning when "the director" will come!

Proximity to rail station and price are attractive features. The hotel charged the price they advertised and there was no hidden charge. Staff extremely polite, courteous, and helpful. Will definitely stay in this hotel in our next visit to Naples.

Hotel San Pietro is a diamond amongst the rough. It was a very nice hotel and the staff were very pleasant and helpful. However, Naples itself is a horrible hole of a city and its only saving grace is the superb National Archeological museum. The city is crime infested, noisey, chaotic and filthy. I used Naples as a base to visit Pompeii, Herculaneum and Mount Vesuvius - which were all outstanding. I wish I had chosen to base myself in Sorento, Solerno, or even a smaller town somewhere on the Bay of Naples.

A beautiful hotel in a terrible neighborhood. Although it is close to the train station, DO NOT WALK! The hotel itself was great ... and the staff was so friendly and helpful. We took cabs from the front door of the hotel to everywhere we went ... Naples is just not a city for walking around in. If you are on the fence about visiting Naples ... skip it. If you must go ... Hotel San Pietro (once you're inside it) can be a jewel in a box of rocks.

Very nice Hotel and confortable rooms - Very kind staff helping clients a lot -
The problem of the hotel is the poor district
which would not be a problem at all in a normal city, but Naples is a dangerous city according to people from Naples themselves who advise tourists to be very vigilent.

If you are on foot, the hotel is easy to find. We walked from Napoli Centrale train station (we travel light). Hotel is close to many important sites (we found interesting things to see and do in Naples and it is a good base to see Capri, Pompeii, Herculaneum, Pallazo Reale at Caserta, Paestum, etc.). Hotel staff were friendly, courteous, helpful. The hotel was recently remodelled (inside and out) and the public rooms were especially bright and cheerful. Giuseppi Gallardo showed us to our room, explained how things worked, and later served a complimentary apertif. The female breakfast staffer spoke Italian and English fluently and accommodated our special requests. The short streets leading to the hotel are shabby and gloomy, but we didn't find them unsafe. Good restaurants nearby. We recommend Trattoria e Pizzeria Da Danato at Via San Cosmo a Portanolana 26-28; reasonable prices and good food. It isn't fancy (plastic tablecloth and TV playing)but you can eat well.

Very nice hotel which is immaculate inside with friendly staff, Not all staff spoke English which with our lack of Italian made for some interesting converstations however we got there in the end and staff were keen to help and tried very hard. Naples itself is dire and the area outside of the hotel is rough as you can imagine and terribly dirty (however this goes for all of Naples I saw which was all the tourist bits). However I would reccommend this hotel without hesitation as it was very friendly spotlessly clean had a very reasonably priced bar with excellent staff. The breakfast was limited but as it was a budget price can't have this as a negative point as basic but sufficed. This hotel was far better from the outside than other hotels in the city I saw and the inside was well above a budget 3* being nearer to a good 4* hotel. Excellent location for public transport which can't be beaten. No negative issues at all regarding the hotel. Thanks for hospitality.

The hotel staff was very accomodating. We needed to add one night's stay and they allowed me to do that via email rather then have to cancel the first reservation and start all over. Very nice place to stay. A little hard to find but close to the railway station as advertised.

Although in a busy area near the main station, the hotel is tucked away so proved to be a welcome oasis of calm during our six-night stay. The hotel is clean and comforable with friendly, helpful staff and deserves the positive feedback left by other travellers.

3 of us took a triple room for one night at end Oct. positives: friendly staff, clean spacious rooms, pleasant design and ambiance, free parking, quiet (especially considering downtown location) - oh except for the church bells. negatives - it's in a grotty area (although practical for train & bus station)and difficult to find as tucked down a side street near a busy market, so hard to get access to the free parking up until the afternoon. Also the restaurant room for breakfast is on the small side, so queueing necessary at times. I would certainly recommend the hotel to other people if you REALLY want a downtown location, and it's certainly good value for money, but if I was to return to Naples in the future, I - personally - would look for something in a nicer area, further out from the centre.

San Pietro fully met our expectations as a hotel. It is close to the train station, the metro and the Pompeii/Sorrento line. It is in a small side street off a main street. Despite that, with the windows closed, the room was quiet and the air condit, worked. The rooms were very clean, comfortable and everything worked. There is a small safe in the room - essential because one has to exercise extreme caution in Naples to not be robbed. Service was good and knowledgeable, but sometimes english was limited. The breakfast was good by Italian standards - capuccino, rolls, cakes etc. The management offers an aperitif to guests in the evening - a sort of plum punch which was unexciting but they do offer a limited dinner menu (pizza etc) but we did not try it. There are only a few reasonable restaurants in safe walking distance - but this is common to many hotels in the old part of the city. Overall we were very pleased with the hotel, but be prepared for Naples to be dirty, noisy and unsafe at night.

I didn't enjoy the city of naples but this hotel was a blessing. The staff who greeted me spoke English very well and was very pleasant. The hotel was clean and the room very large. The daytime staff was able to prvide useful information re: trips to Capri and Pompeii. The evening staff didn't speak much English but was very nice. Naples overall isn't very clean so outside the hotel wasn't very pretty and there were street venders a short distance away from the hotel entrance. There is also a lot of traffic therefore a bit noisy. The hotel was within walking distance to the train station (about 5 minutes) which was very convienent. I wouldn't visit Naples again but would advice others to stay at this beautiful hotel if needing to stay in Naples.

The hotel is within walking distance from the train station where the shuttle bus ("ali-bus") from the airport stops. It is quiet, the rooms are fine and rather big. The staff was very helpful. As a downside, the hotel is not very near the city center and the port.

This hotel was a delight once inside, the surrounding area was a little scruffy but the hotel more than made up for what the area lacked. The staff were very helpful and offered cocktails each evening to help introduce travellers to each other. Will never forget the fabulous Sangria.
