Nice environment, real effort made to create a nice atmosphere, but: - Poor breakfast choice. - Malfunctioning shower. - Noisy construction materials (i.e. doors, walling)

We suggest to take careful instructions about how to get the right exit to find the hotel. The hotel is out of the city and the sinalization is a bit confuse. The hotel is very good. Unfortunatelly, Montpelier is not a great touristic city.

Poor hotel, overpriced restaurant [no wonder it was empty], nowhere else in the area worth trying for food. Not what I would expect from a supposedly 3* hotel.

Very original architecture / decoration in a Louisiana style, with a large exotic garden. Rooms are large and comfortable, with a bif balcony. So a nice surrounding, despite a rather depressing neighbourhood. Fair quality / price ratio.

Hotel is set among a lovely garden and area. We didn't rent/have a car but the nearest Tram link is just a 10 min walk away which got us everywhere we wanted to go. Staff were always polite and helpful. We enjoyed our stay a great deal and felt we got good value for money:) The Swimming pool, Aviaries and pond kept our 4 year old son amused.

Hotel Blanche had loads of character. Very romantic. Restaurant a bit expensive for a hotel in its faded glory, though. And it's awkward to get into Montpellier.

The hotel is located far from dowtown, but if you go by car you will not have problems to reach the hotel. The rooms are spacious, well decorated, clean and quiet. You will find a good place to take a rest.

The surrounding area is very good. The super U is just opposite. There are busses into town nearby and I felt completely safe walking in the neighbourhood. There was a very interesting art event gooing on one day, just accross the river.

The staff was very nice but the room was small and dark.It seems they must have renovated with materials from a lumber yard sale.It was dreadful. The mattress was soft and uncomfortable. The petite dejuner was the same cold stuff every morning and for 8 euro it was expensive. The hotel is in a run down section several miles from downtown. You would not want to walk around in the evening. They have an aviary and the parrots, although beautiful, are VERY noisy all day.Considering all this,I can not recommend this hotel.

We arrived very late at La Maison Blanche; although we arrived after the restaurant was closed, the staff interceded on our behalf and we enjoyed a fabulous dinner in the beautiful garden adjoining the hotel. Food was superb both at dinner and at breakfast. A very warm and comfortable place to stay. Recommend highly.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, one problem with the bar staff they did not stock red wine in the bar! In France, can you believe it. After a pleasant meal in the restuarant, my wife requested some red wine and the barman said he only had white>

It was more than we expected! Helped by beautiful sunshine and fair weather we could enjoy our stay to the fullest. The hotel has all the elegance and grandeur of a classic colonial New Orleans styled hotel. The grounds are marvelous, the swimming pool heaven and the food in the restaurant excellent. We couldn't have chosen a better place to combine the strains of work and the pleasures of a perfect holiday.
