Good Points: 1. Clean 2. Easy to get to 3. Short drive to Metro 4. Not too expensive for Rome area 5. Great staff Needs Improvement 1. No A/C 2. Resturaunt selection / price 3. Metro closes early 2300 hours 4. Towels very thin 5. Walls and Doors very thin 6. Restrooms very small 7. No CNN or English T.V. 8. Breakfast very Italian. No cheese or meat with bread. Nice people but needs too much improvement and is in an inconvienent location.I would not stay again. If you are traveling with more than one kid and you are on a very tight budget I would then recommend it.

We stayed only one night...the room was so small and airless. Lots of noise outside..appeared to be one side of a phone argument...which lasted a long time. We didn't eat there except breakfast. Frascati is an interesting town near by.

The hotel was adequate for our needs. We used it as a stop over for our arrival into Rome before heading off to discover the south of Italy and then again before our departure. The gentleman that worked the reception desk was excellent -- went out of his way to make sure we were pleased. Our only disappointment was in the meals - breakfast was very, very boring(packaged products). And the one evening meal we had, the cut of steak was a poor grade and I think for 14 euros it should have been a better cut. I did complain and they did take the cost of the steak from our bill.

I enjoyed my stay in Villa Sciarra; it's not far from Rome although it's placed in a sort wood area I didn't know before.

Villa Sciarra is not close to the train station or Ciampino airport as they claim. The shuttle service to and from the airport is a lie. Standard Hotel. Not great, not bad.

This is a lovely little hotel set in pretty surroundings in the village of Monte Porzio Catone, situated in the picturesque hills to the south of Rome. The staff were excellent, from the moment we arrived until we left. We found it to be the perfect base for a five day stay in Italy, and our hire car enabled us to take a day trip south to Herculaneum and the Amalfi Coast, in addition to our time in Rome itself. There are buses and trains into Rome from Frascati (around a 10 minute drive away) but be warned, although there are hourly trains between 6.30 and 9.30 am, the next is not until 12.30pm! However, you can also get a taxi for around 40 euros, or drive a little further and catch the metro at Anagnina. The only tiny criticism we could make about this hotel would be on noise in the room itself - but not everyone will end up with someone who snores like Vesuvius in the next room! Another big plus, though, is that you are only a short drive from Castel Gandolfo, a pretty village overlooking Lake Alban, and site of the Pope's summer residence. There we found a truly excellent restaurant, Antico Ristoante Pagnanelli, family run since 1882 and overlooking the lake. Even if you are full up after your antipasti, primero and segundo courses, you *must* go down to the cellar for dessert or a coffee - it's stunning!
