They could just offer us a smoking dobbleroom when we came. Vi did not ordered smoking room. It's not many people in Europe today that want smokingroom, nonsmoking is for granted if you don't ask for smoking specially. They could after some annoyed request give us a nonsmoking room the day after. The first room was very little/cramped, the other room was very nice.

Excellent location as the hotel was close to the train station and within walking distance of the Duomo. Also close to the subway if one wished to use it. A very elegant hotel at an excellent price. The staff was very helpful with directions and arranging a cab for our early morning departure the next day. We would definitely stay at this hotel again. It was our favorite hotel to stay in while we were in Italy.

I asked for 2 non smoking rooms and one of them was full of smoke. When a change was requested we were told that they were not available. We wanted to change hotels, it was impossible to stay there with that smell. They found another room and we were satisfied.

The hotel is excellent with a very good breakfast.Soft boiled eggs. About 1/4 mile from the train station and an easy walk to and from the station. About 600 yards from the nearest Metro stop. 2 stops from the Duomo. Not much near the hotel but it served our purpose. ie. close to the train station, clean and safe.

A good quality price relationship. the small rooms lack safe, and room for the lugage, a little too small. Overall, a good experience, I'll repeat.

The hotel is located in a good position (just 15 min.walk from the railway station and 10 min. from the metro stop). The road Felice Casati is quite calm and teh building is completely renovated. The hall is elegant, the furniture is new and well entertained. Our room was spacious, clean and the bathroom completely new and spacious. It would be useful to have more closet to put t-shirts or pullovers. Breakfats was good and abundant.

Hotel was kinda far from the train station but walkable. The hotel provided us with toothbrush, toothpaste, etc because the airline lost our luggage. Breakfast was excellent!

The staff was very friendly and helpful when answering our questions about sites, maps, etc. It is a little bit of a walk to the metro, but the neighborhood isn't too bad, and it seems relativly safe. The breakfast was great and the whole hotel was absolutely spotless. There was a little grocery store between the hotel and metro that was well priced and very convient. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to others.

As i travel more than 200 days a year, i have been at five star hotel and a lot of 3 and 4 star, this hotel is the worst one i have ever been in. absulutely no service at all, as a customer we felt us like ennemy`s . Not me or my Italien partners will ever go in this hotel again this is for sure

Rooms are tiny. It's a pity they didn't dedicate more space to the room itself rather than allocating space in the bathroom.

My husband and I were very satisfied with our stay; the hotel is nice, very well located and the rooms are silent. The front desk staff was incredibly helpful, especially when my husband got sick and they helped me get medical help, extending my stay, and with cancelling other travel arrangements. We really recommend this hotel.

Since on the web page it is written that a room is equipped with not only shower but also bath tub, I picked up this hotel. However, just on my arrival, they said that only 2 or 3 rooms are with bath tub and most are only with shower, which is contrary to what is mentioned. They did not even try to put me into the room of my request. It seemed that they do not have much hospitality to their guests. This is the strongest feeling which I had during all my stay. I won't stay here again.

We visited Milan for a 4 day trip and to take in an AC Milan game. Myself, wife and 2 boys (aged 13 &17) found the hotel to be ideal for our stay. The staff were all friendly and very helpful and recommended an excellent restaurant, the Mediterriano for our evening meals. Breakfast in the hotel had quite an array of fare and it passed inspection by 2 fussy teenagers. The nearest Metro station was 10 minutes away, and 3 stops from the Duomo (city centre). The tv's in the bedrooms had enough to keep the kids happy and they made great use of the free internet access in the foyer (at least 4 terminals). If we ever return to Milan the Hotel Casati would definitely be on our list. If you want a hotel that is clean, quiet, friendly and fairly central this should fit the bill.

We stayed at the hotel only for one night. The room was small but very clean. The location is good and close to the train station. The only complain I have is the staff's attitude. The front desk was not as helpful as I expected from Best Western. The location indicated on Vernere is incorrect. We spent over an hour trying to find the hotel. Overall, I like my experience there. It is a good price considering the room quality. I will recommend it to friends & families.

Highly recommended for quality to price ratio: 60 € per night for a double room (breakfast included) in Milan is unbeatable. The hotel is very close to the Central Rail Station (20 m by walk) and the downtown for shopping is at arm's reach.

We stayed here for 3 nights for a city trip. It was an ideal combination for a cheap airline (RyanAir), landing in Orio Al Serio in Bergamo, than taking the bus shuttle service from that airport to Milan Central Station (1h bus) and then going on foot from the Central Station to the hotel (about 15 to 20 minutes). It's a quiet and save neighborhood. We always walked through the park towards the Milan Center around the Piazza Duomo. We never needed to take the underground, but we like to walk. The hotel was perfect. Perfect room, perfect breakfast. An excellent price for an excellent stay ! TOP OF THE BILL !

A good hotel if you want to be near (15 minute walk) from the train station...close to the subway so its easy to get to the tourist areas or if you like to walk that's possible too (three subway stops).....quiet area...not the prettiest but seemed safe enough..

This hotel was fine. We were only there one night as we needed to move on from Milan. I would stay in a different area of Milan next time as we were not too convenient to the sites. Milan is a pretty ugly city unless you are right down in the high rent district by the Duomo. We had trouble finding the hotel as the directions were not clear. I had asked for specific directions and even those I received via email were incorrect. We had to stop and figure out how to use the Italian pay phone system to get directions after wandering around for 30 minutes with our luggage. Be sure you ask for very specific instructions wherever you go especially if you are walking. We found the lack of using landmarks in giving directions very frustrating. Instead the person usually gave the distance in meters which was a) hard for us Americans to figure out how far that was, and b) usually incorrect anyway. There was a dearth of restaurants in the area, but we found a nice Osteria nearby. The room was quite small, but that was typical of our stay. Breakfast spread was great. Front desk reasonably helpful, but a bit surly.

I can't rate this hotel high enough. Compared to some of the other 3 star hotels I stayed at throughout Italy this was a palace! The staff are amazing - so friendly, helpful and can speak english very well. The hotel is located within a short walking distance to the train station & just around the corner from the main shopping strip. The room & bathroom are huge and the beds very comfortable. There are 5 or 6 computers with free internet access. Breakfast is included in the rate so it makes this hotel a great price.

Hotel Casati is very convenient for shopping, metro and tram access. Our room was quiet and well furnished, with a lovely bathroom and well-stocked mini-bar/fridge (pay for what you use). The hotel has no restaurant, just a breakfast room, and the hotel bar is not always staffed, though there are other bars and restaurants close by. Breakfast consisted of fruit juices, cereals, bread, croissants, boiled eggs, ham, cheese. Reception staff very friendly and helpful with advice on travel, where to eat etc. This hotel offers exceptional value for money with the Venere rate, and we would definitely stay here again.

Hotel facilities are great and price/quality relationship is more than adequate. But it was the first time in my life I've been to a hotel that closes during the holidays season! Worst of all was them asking us to check out early because they would be closed by noon - whose problem is that?? Sorry, but I have no plans of going there again...

We have good luck with Best Western hotels in Europe, so we think this is good value for a relatively low price. They were willing to store luggage for us for two days while we made a side trip. Many of the staff were a little cold and institutional, but the rooms were good and the location was convenient to the train and metro. They offer free internet, but it either doesn't work or is so slow that you should walk to an internet cafe.
