Overall, the hotel met up my expectations. It has a very metropolitan atmosphere: in the never ending and maze like corridors and in the very tiny lift that brings you from ground 0 to ground H (some 4 floors away between each other, although there is no intermediate stop!) you run into travellers from the most various countries and a mixture of russian, portughese, japanese and unknown languages buzzes in your hears. The hotel may ingenerate a feeling of shabbyness (it reminds me, from that point of view, a similar hotel where I stayed in NYC), but also a feeling of decline (like if the hotel was once a great hotel) - and this is also in relation to the staff, which is certainly efficient and available for any need (including an umbrella in my case), but at the same time not particularly friendly or warm. The room was large and confortable and the location is perfect (right in the centre). Hence, probably due to the undergoing restructuring (as of Jan 2008 the ground 0 lobby is being rearranged and is therefore hidden behind walls) the quality vs. price is in my opinion very good (excellent if what you are looking for does not include a cosy atmosphere).

I arrived and the bathroom had not been cleaned (it was really dirty!!). They promised they would change me the room but they did not. It is not a 4 stars hotel. Price is not consistent with service and strucuture.

We stayed for 3 nights at the hotel. The location was wonderful and the room which we booked (twin room with two single beds) was marvellous although the price was a bit steep. We paid about EURO 240 a night. The only adverse comment we have to make about the hotel is that the wifi internet signal was useless in our room. We had to surf at the reception area. To us and a lot of modern travellers, being able to access the internet is a very integral part of travelling as this is our mobile office. Also many hotels are now offering free usage and the hotel still charges for it. I would stay at the hotel again only if I cannot find another hotel in the same location and price range that offers free usage of the internet. Otherwise this is a wonderful hotel especially when they move their reception to the ground floor which I believe they intend to do once the renovations are completed.

i was very surprised to find a 4 stars hotel
payed 298 euro per night , so dirty, so shabby
it is really a totaly without any respect for the guest (client)
you even did,t mantion that the hotel is under
renovation
, so most the pubblic areas are not in use
it was my first time that booking here on venere, make me so angry

i was in a nice room. i hope it was standard and not an upgrade. hotel itself is in a nice location.
however, the lobby is situated in the second floor and you have to go in and out of the lobby through a door to get into the elevator.
this is not so convenient when leaving and coming back to the hotel as there has to be two rides before you can get into your floor.

Excellent location, directly at the pedestrian area, room was spacious and quite quiet (windows opens to dull yard), breakfast was ok. However: one day the aircondition system broke on the whole floor and couldn't be repaired until the next day! So, if you don't mind to spend a night at 30 degrees celsius...Anyway, the small aircon was too weak for the large room.

Very good location!Poor breakfast and but not very good staff.
When I leaved the hotel in Milano spend marathon therefore I have big problem with taxi and way to airport as a result I was late for plane.
I think staff of this hotel should notify all clients about similar actions.

The Hotel is in the City center...few steps from Piazza Duomo...
They have been very availible to my needs (i needed to take the room before than 12.00 A.M. and they had no problems about that)...
On my opinion for the price, the room and the Hotel are a little bit "old" for my way of thinking...

Hotel was in fantastic position. Staff at front desk not as helpful as we would of liked. Had a very indifferent attitude. Very typical of a lot of tourism staff in Italy. Breakfast staff were pleasant, food was good quality.

I was travelling together with my mother who has
difficulties to walk. This hotel was excellent for
her because it did not have any steps to the entrance
or to the lift or to the rooms and because it is
situated in the very center of Milan.

If you want a hotel in Milan where you walk out the door and be right in the heart of the city where all the best shops and attractions are ... then this is the perfect hotel ... clean, quiet and resonably priced ...

A reasonable hotel that, with a little effort and expense, could be a very good hotel. The rooms appear to be of a better overall standard than the public areas - with imagination, the bar and breakfast room could be transformed into places you might want to stay in. The lifts are dreadful - cramped and slow, necessitating long waits at peak times.

Entrance area very small - obviously used the space available for other purposes. Bathroom very clean but shower very poor - hardly any power. Fan extremely noisy in bathroom. Bar area very nice - good bar staff - wonderful breakfast - best I have had in Italy! Excellent location. Horrible view from our room though - across other buildings - no way could you see over the Milan skyline as, I believe, the web said. However, the bar staff took us up to the roof to see the Cathedral at night - wonderful!

I was so surprised when I walked into the lobby. It was tiny and somewhat dingy. This did not look like a 4-star hotel. The help behind the desk was so-so. The bell hops were extremely helpful. The breakfast room was very nice and so was the breakfast buffet. The room was pretty nice wtih a nice modern bathroom. The placement of the TV was to the side of the beds so you had to watch it with a turned head - hard on the neck!
