Great location. You can be anywhere in Milan within minutes (metro, walking or bus). Good deal for the money.

This hotel had the audacity to list itself as air conditioned, yet in August (during 90+ degree heat), they had the nerve to shut off the air conditioning between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m. in the morning and then again at 10 a.m. This forced us to open street-side windows and roast further while listening to sirens and drunks and traffic horns. The hotel claimed if we wanted air 24 hours we would have to pay three times the price quoted. The front desk also recommended using a parking garage next door, but failed to mention that if guests move their cars there at night or in the early morning, they won't be able to get it out all day. It was locked up tight with no phone number to contact, and the hotel front desk said "not our car park, not our problem" )even though they directed us to it). We lost full use of our vehicle for an entire day and had to pay nearly $75 extra dollars to take the train to Lake Como for a planned visit. We also failed to get to Switzerland because of this gross negligence. We fault both the hotel, the garage and Venere for failing to alert us to these two dramatic inconsistencies in what is advertised and what is delivered. We will not use Venere again.

The hotel is located in a quiet street, but still very close to one of the main shopping streets.

Close to main shopping street and within easy walking distance of main attractions in Milan. There was a few dodgy characters hanging around at night time near to the hotel but overall found hotel very good value. Very clean and quiet, efficient staff, basic breakfast. Would stay there again.

Just 1 minute from the Metro in a quiet street.Absolutely perfect location for visiting the city. 2 Metro lines are servicing this station. All sights can be reached within minutes. The staff was very friendly.I would choose this hotel again.

If you are coming to Milan to shop till you drop then you have a reason to stay at Dorè for its proximity to a major shopping district. The hotel itself is rather mediocre. It could be noisy, too, but that´s nothing compared to what I personally thought was a rather unfriendly reception upon our arrival. I would choose to stay at another hotel the next time around.

Great location right on the Metro, so clean you could eat off the floor. Staff a little reserved but helpful. For 90 Euro at show time it's a bargain. Well done Hotel Dore.

Reason to chose the hotel is that it is on a main shoping street and very close to the subway. (watch out on the milan subway, a group of gypsy's tries to rob us) Staff was friendly and helpful.

We were in a family group (couple and brother). The triple room was realy good, spacious and very clean. There is a metro station nearby and the surrounds are nice.

My husband and I liked the hotel because it was cleaned, quiet, recently restored, nice and spacious bed and bedroom. The hotel is in a quiet street not too far from the railway station and the main street to the Cathedral. We recommend it.

The desk clerk was very helpful. The location is near the subway system. The neighborhood is fine with an excellent wine shop across the street and a very restaurant just around the corner.

The hotel's location is so close to a metro station making it quite strategic. Speciallly for Muslim travellers, the are quite a number of halal food outlets around the area. Nearby there is also a big supermarket. The staff although seemed quite helpful not so welcoming in some way - may be due to the language barier. There was no electric kettle in the the room. Apart from that it was quite a good value for money.

It is an average hotel that has been recently remodelled. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Internet was free. There is a parking lot beside the hotel. I have nothing to complain about this hotel, except for breakfast which was really poor. The rest was good.

Very spacious and clean room. Our experience was affected only by a lack of good communication with the manager and a lack of personal service.>

The metro is convenient for exploring the city. NO air conditioning necessitates sleeping with window open in a busy commercial district. It was not our best night of sleep, but the girls loved the shopping.

This hotel was more than adequate in services and staff. The desk staff was very knowledgable in local restaurants and places of interest. The advertisements are all true. The breakfast buffet was delightful and more than one needs.

I was booked in a single room for 3 days at the Dore in June. A newer hotel with very clean rooms, located next to 2 metro lines makes it very convenient. Parking garage on the same street is great if you have a car. SuperMercato around the corner. Single room is tiny, as is the shower. If you know Italy, this shouldn't be a surprise. The biggest negative is that the management would turn off the air conditioning from late evening until midday, even claiming it was broken one day. How could a new system be broken already? It was unusally hot and muggy durning my stay, and I would have gladly paid for AC. I think they were just trying to save money. For this reason, I would avoid the Dore during the summer. Other reviewers said the management was not helpful, but this was just the demeanor of the proprietor.

VVery good hotel, on the excellent position in the town. Correct price, big and clean room, and nearby garage. I have only few suggestions, with my best wishes to the hotel’s stuff, and this is : - please have more TV canals on English - can You make breakfast just a little better I will come in this hotel again, every time when I will be in Milano, and I suggest everybody to use this hotel

Good location for us as it was near the train station and the metro. Only bad thing about the area was the limited places to eat. Be aware that the owners speak hardly any english but they do their best and were friendly. The only thing we could have issue with is that we were charged for the water & cappucino offered at breakfast. (10 euros for 2 breakfasts) There should be a notice letting you know that in advance but we were fine with it as we had an excellent rate for Milan. We would be willing to stay at this hotel again.

The hotel is 15minutes walking from the train station by far away from the city center if you go walking, anyway the hotel is completly new but the staff is not very well trained, they couldn´t tell us how to get to the Bergamo airport!!!. The price was good.
