The Hotel doesn't have an internet station and this can be a problem. It would be sufficient to have one computer with free access that could be used by all guests placed in the reception area. The Hotel Soperga is located very close to the train station and this is useful if you're on a short stay. The rooms are clean and that is very important. Overall, a reasonably priced hotel in convenient surroundings.

I would recommend this hotel for its close proximity to the main central station which is where you pick up your airport transfer from. Our room was a little small and dark and in need of a bit of decorating. The beds were very narrow too. However breakfast was very good and the staff were very helpful and informative. There is not much to do though in the area around this hotel so travelling to the main sites will involve a short tram or metro ride.

This was the first time I stayed at Hotel Soperga. The room was clean and nicely kept, though a little small. The location is extremely convenient. It is just 3 blocks from the train station, which is where the Malpensa bus lets you off too. It is a nice jumping off point for day trips for the same reason. There is a very good, very reasonably priced restaurant just one block away. Metro is convenient for getting downtown.

Within walking distance from Milan Centrale Station. Excellent breakfast included. Only complaint is bathroom; there was mildew/mold growing in the corner up to the ceiling, and the shower nozzle is such that it caused the bathroom floor to get covered when using the shower. Other than that, bed were comfortable and the rest of the room was clean.

The room was tiny but had everything I needed, including a TV. The shower was small but worked well and I have known smaller. Yes, you could put your chin in the sink while sitting on the toilet and the walls are a little thin. Don't forget your earplugs, as I did. Everything was spotless. Very convenient for the station and with a great, reasonably priced restaurant just 30 metres away as recommended by the friendly barman. For the price, I highly recommend it.

We stayed at hotel soperga in sep 6 2006 and the hotel i thought was great, there was 6 of us irish guys and i dont think we were the most popular in the hotel after out nights out in the town:) maybe we were a small bit noisey, the metro is maybe 7 mins walk in an area thats really nice and that will connect you to most parts of the city,if you want the night life visit corso como where milans finest strut their stuff, although milan is not the most exciting city in the world for me and 6 alco's from ireland i'd come back here again (if they left me) its a lovely hotel with very helpfull staff P.S if your gonna visit the san siro for a game bring some ID like passport or drivers licence because they want to clamp down on banned supporters entering the ground and they ask for ID

The hotel Soperga was a perfect choice for us travelling in Milan on a budget. Located near the main train station it was easy to get to. A little longer walk was required to the Metro station, and the walk back to the hotel from the Metro in the evening was a little "iffy" (dark and not the best area) but we had no trouble in the end. The breakfast provided was more than adequate and included cereal, yogurt, fruit, sliced meats and cheeses, croissants and of course those awful Italian white buns that you can take someone's eye out with. And coffee, tea, hot choclate. We didn't go hungry here! Its certainly not a 4 star hotel, but we would go back if ever in Milan again.

Our stay was good, but hotel is not suitable for small children...there was not a children chair in the restaurant, it was not possible to get with the children buggy into a lift, not even into a room (too narrov doors). But on the other hand, personel in recepcion and specially in the restaurant was very nice and friendly. We would recommend the hotel to a couple or groupt without children. It has a very good position.

Soperga is a descent value for money. We have been there in midsummer and what was killing us was the idiotic rule for switching AC off at night - it was becomming so unbearably hot while at the same time AC was switched on at 07.30 in the morning and was keeping temperature normal all day - i.e. when a normal tourist is typically not there. Crazy!!! We have asked and argued about that several times but received one and only answer - "this is how we proceed!". Otherwise the property is close to the Centralle Railway station but pretty far from its centrall entrance - be prepared to walk some 10 minutes there and - be sure to check the other surrounding metro stations - there are two which appear closer than the main cross at Centrale plaza. Breakfast was real good and THE COFFEE WAS JUST FANTASTIC.Staf was helpful, english they speak at therecption desk, however varies from poor to excelent. Parking offered on the side will cost you some 30 euros per day and parking close to the hotel on the sidewalk or in the street is a matter of luck - try late at night.General overview for Soperga - good but there are better for this price and at better locations very close by.

Given our need for accomodations near the train station, Milano Centrale, the hotel was well suited. The rooms are modest and reasonable value for the price quoted. Only complaint was that one of the rooms we booked didn't have the phone that worked as we all needed a 5am wake up call--the front desk said they had fixed it, but alas, no call came when we needed to take the Malpensa Shuttle by 6:15am. One nice thing is the Ristorante Dinky around the corner the front desk recommended...really good food and personnel. Overall, Hotel Soperga is a place I would recommend for a few nights stay -- it is worth the price (69Euros) given the location (near the train station) and its modest ambiance.

I will also recommend that hotel to my friends . I was positively surrised when the receptionist offered me his assistance in getting information on possibility to buy tickets to see "Ultima cena" by Leonardo in Sta Maria delle Grazie church.Unfortunately, tickets were out of sale on that particular day, but an attempt to assist counts.Thank you.

If you need quick in and out access of Milan then this is your place. The hotel is walking distance from Central Station as well as the bus to the airport. The area is what you would expect from a small hotel blocks away from a huge train station. The neighborhood is dingy and smelly. But once inside the hotel you feel separated from that feeling. The hotel is clean but looks old. The carpet is worn and the comforter is something you throw on the floor upon arrival. But the room is CLEAN...but small. The breakfast is not the best (especially if you are expecting American breakfast)...but you do get a decent coffee. The worst thing is that the maids throw out what THEY think is trash. My fiance and I were carrying the bottle of wine that we drank on the night of our engagement. We set this upon the desk next to our bag of groceries. The cleaning service took it upon themselves to throw out the bottle. In short, good location to transportation (but not the sights); old but clean hotel.

This is a fantastic hotel! The surrounding area is a little sketchy at night because it is so close to the station, but no one really bothered us. The room was beautiful, spacious and very clean. The staff was relatively friendly, although they didn't go out of their way to be nice. The breakfast was substantial and the hotel itself is a very nice property. The breakfast area and sitting area in the lobby is lovely and it is really nice to have an elevator. It is very close to the train station as well as to the metro so it is perfect for those who will be sightseeing. Overall it was a great place to stay and we would definitely go back.

Hotel is absolutely fine - very near the station as stated. Not in the nicest area but if you only want a base it's not a problem. Just down the street and round the corner is a great little past/pizzeria place - nice food and great service. HOWEVER.... a couple of doors down is a place which looks very similar - BUT we went in for a drink and a menu check - 4 50+ people smartly dressed - the prices on the menu were absolutely extortionate! ... so we said we would just have the drinks - waiter threw our drinks against the wall!! (so he didn't get paid - though he would have done and expected to -without this behaviour!!) and then threw abuse at us as we walked down the street (in English involving F and C words!). We are all widely travelled and have never encountered anything like this!! Can't remember the exact name but it is something like Cavalino - avoid!!!

For what I paid, the value was good. However, my room was on a half-floor, between piano 0 and 1, obviously rooms that they sell at a discount and I don't think as nice as their regular rooms (and I did pay a low amount, about 60 Euro a night). That room was small and dark, and only accessible by a set of stairs, not an elevator. That was no problem for me, and given the low price I was paying, I was satisfied, but be aware that you might get one of these rooms. The breakfast was fairly extensive, staff there very helpful. The location is close to the train station, but definitely out of the way as far as locations like the Duomo (though a Metro stop is nearby). The neighborhood is a little dingy, with the occasional porn parlor (one right nearby) and divey bar, and pretty deserted. Not dangerous, but not much in and of itself. I was satisfied given what I paid and have no complaints.

Great hotel, when you can find it!! The big drawback is the noise...try to stay away from rooms at the front of the hotel, very noisy street even at 2am. Staff were sensational, couldn't have been more helpful..very friendly, funny and spoke excellent English. The old town in Florence doesn't allow cars to stay in the centre. Would have been helpful to know this before we arrived ... by car!! Parking is a nightmare..makes Piccadilly Circus look like a vacant lot! The hotel found us valet parking but it was expensive..about 100 euros for 3 days. Against that, we were right in the centre and could walk everywhere with ease. Biggest size of rooms we found anywhere in Italy although the shower was a bit hit and miss.

It would have been nice to have control over the air conditioning at night. Got very hot. Mosquitos came in when window was open. Would stay there again for convenience and value for money

Arrived at the hotel all hot & sweaty to be welcomed by the nicest concierge who was extremely helpful. Breakfast was good & room was very clean. Location in relation to public transport was excellent with only a 2 minute walk to Milans main train station.

If you want to stay near the Milano Centrale I would advice you not to choose hotels in this side of the station because the atmosphere of the surrounding is not so good... The lady of the reception was not able to tell me exactly how to reach the hotel from the station...

We were group of friends visiting Milan for just a couple of days - we went to see a concert of Styx and Kansas that took place in Alcatraz - discoteque which is in this part of town. Soperga is located close to central railway station and is excelently connected with all parts of Milan by the Metro - two different lines has stops near by. Hotel is in the heart of town, but though quiet, clean and carefuly managed. Some of the reception staff are real treasure - speaking more than 3 foreign languages and top-helpful in everything. The athers are just nice. Breakfast is the same every morning - not so many assortments, but excellent quality of food and cofee - boy, you need to taste this one - excuisit!!! Problems? - just one: we had the bad luck of beeing in Milan when the hotest days from decades were taking place - over 38 degrees C even at midnight. For some reason the central air-conditioning was on only between 7 and 11 AM and PM. We were not able to figure out why and the best and most friendly one of the guys at the reception desk just shrinked shoulders and told us it is a hotel management policy and he can do nothing about it ... Pity! Without this Soperga would be a treasure in terms of value for money. Hey, one more - with you rely on the near by inside parking be prepared to pay 25 Euro daily tall. Overall - soperga is very good hotel and excellent value for money.

The hotel is pretty, very clean, and comfortable. Extremely close to the central train station and to the main bus stop to and from the airports. The quality of service is excellent, Maria Luisa and Gianluca are extremely nice, and professional. There is a cheap Trattoria nearby, the food is excellent (ask for Patrizio and he will also entertain your during your lunch/dinner). The breakfast is worth the whole stay! I would definetly recommend this hotel!

I stayed there with my sister for 2 nights. The room was rather dark. It was also too small for us to open our suitcases. Moreover, there was no air-conditioning in the room and you could imagine how hot it was during the day. Nevertheless, the breakfast was good and sufficient. Anyways, you should not expect too much with the price of EURO 68 per night, which is the cheapest during our stay.

Hotel con buena presencia. Muy cercano a la estación central de tren y bien comunicado. Tranquilo y limpio. Aun teniendo en cuenta que Milán es una ciudad cara, los precios por habitación (calidad/precio) son demasiado altos. Quiet & clean. Good comunications, near from main railstation. Mailand is not a cheap city but anyway the Superga prices are still very high (quality/price)

Excellent location (walking distance to train station), very good complementary breakfast, helpful staff. No room ceiling fan - very poor room ventilation. Windows opened onto a very noisy main street. Suggest requesting a back facing room. Bathroom facilities adequate.

We stayed at the Soperga for 5 nights in May 2005, and I have no hesitation in recommending the hotel to anyone looking for reasonably-priced and centrally-located accomodation in Milan. All the staff, especially the breakfast staff, were friendly, cheerful and accomodating. We would stay there again.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone. In fact will stay there again as go to Milan from time to time. The price was really good for the quality of the hotel and being five min walk from the station was wonderful for catching the bus to the airport. Very good stay, treat yourself and stay here. By the way nice pub just a few steps up from the hotel. Enjoy!

Thirteen university students, my colleague, and I spent one night in the hotel. It is the second time that our group has stayed there, and we will go back whenever space is available. The staff were friendly and helpful, the hotel is a bargain, and the train station and public transportation are conveniently close.

When booking our hotel in Milan we required a very central hotel close to the main train station, a comfortable room and a decent breakfast. All of the above was what the Hotel Soperga provided us with. A superb stay highly recommended.

The staff were very helpfull and pleasant. The reception desk was always manned but there was still a theft of a ladies handbag from the dinning room. This seems to be a problem in Milan. Overall I would recommend this hotel for price, location and quality.

On our first stay at the Soperga, we had a larger room; this stay, we were in a smaller room. Nonetheless, the stay was very good, the staff most helpful and courteous and the breakfast was excellent. I would not hesitate to stay there again, and I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a reasonable room convenient to the train station.

This was our second stay at Soperga and we had a wonderful a time as ever. Within walking distance of Stazione Centrale, it was well located to get around the main areas of Milan. Local bars, restaurants and shops are very friendly and welcoming. The hotel itself is perfect for a weekend stay with friendly staff, wonderful facilities and decent rooms with everything two girls on a shopping, clubbing, eating and people-watching trip could need!

We had two separate stays at the Soperga. Our first room was large and airy; the second one was rather small, but adequate. We definitely think the room was worth the price, and we would stay there again. The location near the train station was very convenient for us.
