Beautiful room, great breakfast and excellent price. However as hotel clerk was checking us into our requested king size bedroom which he said was available, the manager intervened quickly and said no such rooms were available and he would accomodate us with twin beds that slide into one. He made mention that we did not book directly thru hotel, therefore no guarantee the request could be fulfilled. It was quite obvious he was not happy we were paying such a great price for a good hotel.

This was my first trip to Milan and I selected the ADI Doria Grand Hotel based on the information from Trip Advisor. The feed back from previous visitors of Trip Advisor was absolutely correct. The hotel was very clean and the welcome friendly. The breakfast was first rate with a good selection. The room was nice but the decorations were a dark colour making it a little gloomy. The hotel was close to the train station with a Metro station about 200M away which was very convenient. The hotel location was a little far away from the attractions but this did not matter because of the metro link.Overall I was satisfied.

An excellent hotel, and very good value for money. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we would definitely recommend the hotel to all our friends. We will return to Milan and definitely stay at the Doria Grand. The breakfast was very good with an excellent choice of fresh food. The day staff were very friendly and helpful. We even had a New Orleans Jazz Band on Thursday night which was of a very high standard. A wonderful stay.

It was an overnight stay preflight for Malpensa. The proprietors did not have a professional demeanor . The rooms were not ready at 3:30 PM. Recommendations for restaurants, taxi cabs, and airport transfer were with outfits whose posting for prices were not accurate or were not there. Still the rooms were clean and quite and well appointed.

A comfortable hotel with old world charm, yet not outdated. Comfortable bed and linens, marble bathroom with nice water fixtures and faucets. Warmly decorated room with beautiful window dressings and art work in the room. Great breakfast with attentive service.

I would absolutely stay here again. Their breakfast was great! The service was very cordial and professional. The rooms are very classy and clean. It is walking distance from Train Station and has nearby entertainment for the nightlife. It is also walking distance to the Green Line subway and around the corner it's the Red Line Subway. Excellent location. Loved it.

I would have booked here again but the hotel has changed their cancellation policy making it very impractical for someone on a budget who is dependent on public transportation.
The hotel was wonderful and the rooms were very nice, larger than your average European hotel room.

The room 528 was our favorite, very quiet, clean and spacious. The breakfast is the best I ever had in Italy!Scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, joghurt, fruits, different kind of breads, cold cuts, this was a fantastic start of the day!

We only stayed at the hotel for 1 night but it completely met all of our expectations. The room was quiet, service was excellent, the breakfast more than expected. The hotel is within walking distance to the train station which we found very convenient. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Probably the best hotel we stayed in during our
trip to Italy. Very close to the central train
station. Great breakfast. Good location for a short visit to Milan. We got a specially good break on weekend rates as compared to much higher weekday rates.

This was the first time we stayed at this hotel. It is within easy walking distance of the Central Train Station, although the directions tell you to take the subway for one station. The room, public areas, and service were exellent. There is only a short walk to the subway station, but you can also walk to the Duomo in about 25 minutes. The price was a good value for the quality offered for the days we stayed there, but we noticed that the price for the weekend was considerably higher.

1.staff seemed very upset and unhappy.Perhaps management was the problem
2.any small task like telephoning or taxi was a real chore to staff.."do it yourself"
3.Check prices carefully as they vary daily eg. Sat.E.355 Sun.E.265 Mon. E.227
4.very convienient for public transport tram train metro. No good restaurants near by.

Good hotel, our room was very large, with lovely bathroom. Location was close to train station and the bus drop off point from airport. Nice restaurants closeby and lovely ice cream shop across the road! Breakfast was fine (typical italian). However, wouldn't recommend Milan for more than a few nights, as not a great deal to do compared to other cities in Italy.

The room was spacious and clean. The staff was not knowledgable at all. We asked for a map and directions - they were not helpful
We asked the staff to help make restaurant reservations - they never heard of the restaurant and never called back to let us know that.. also I had lost my cell phone on the plane and I asked for a local # of the airline. They did not have a phone book to look it up. I ended up getting it myself on the internet. Otherwise it was a pleasant stay

This is my first trip to Milan, because need to go to Monza GP track during weekend, have to selected a Hotel near Railway station though I was told there maybe safety concern for a single women. The surrounding of ADI Doria Grand Hotel is much better than expected, quiet and safe, not only convenient to railway station, it's also not far to the center of city for tourist and shopping. There are various selections of breakfast.

Directions to hotel from train say to take the subway one stop. However, you can just walk a couple of blocks from the train station (5minutes-easy). beautiful rooms, but heavy cigarette smoke came into hallway,so you had to quickly close your door. Easy walk to Duomo area. Area is not pretty, but hotel is great.

I did not like the inflexibility of the hotel about changing the last night of my stay just because I had booked the room on the Web! I wanted to leave Milan one day early but they did not agree to change my last night, which was double the discounted rate as well, just because it was a Thursday night stay.
