Best location in Milan being minutes away from the Duomo, La Scala, Galleria and Via Napoleone; Absolutely beautiful common space and rooms with historical flavor, an extra bonus for an opera lover like myself; Service at Caruso, the light dining option was horrendous, but hey, what can you do with Italian waiters ? The front desk was quite capable and courteous

Though I marked 5 for the general review of my overall stay at this hotel, this was the second best hotel I stayed during my one-month holidays in Italy. The big problem in Italy is that everything became 4 times more expensive as soon as Italy went with Euro-currency.

Very good hotel. Ask for a room far from the fifth floor. I stayed there, and the fact that the roof was inclined made the room seem even smaller than it actually was. My room was too small for two. I would stay there again, though. I will recommend this hotel to my friends. The restaurante, San Carlos, is very, very good, and not expensive for what it offers.

This was a very fine, older property in downtown Milan. The staff was excellent, the room very nice, and the location great for getting to nearby downtown sights, such as The Duomo, La Scala, etc. I highly recommend this hotel.

This hotel by far exceeds any other that I have stayed at in Italy except for the Grand Cocumella in Sorrento.
It is ideally located in Milan within 5 minutes of La Scala, Piazza di La Scalla, The Galleria and Il Duomo.
All designer stores are within walking distance.
The staff of the hotel go out of their way as I've never seen before. They truly understand there 5 star deluxe status and live up to the standard.
The rooms are exceptionally well appointed. Everything that you might need for your comfort is available in your room.
The Falstaff Bar is an excellent venue to eat lightly and enjoy a drink. The Don Caruso Restaurant is available for Gourmet Dining, although quite expensive.
Overall, the courtesy of the staff and the amenities available to the guests are exceptional. As a travel agent, I would highly recommend it to clients who expect the best.
