The hotel Matala Dimitris Villa is located in a beautiful sea resort, in the southern part of the island of Crete. Matala resort combines quiet and relaxing holidays with intense nightlife. The hotel has a very convenient location next to many sights of interest, and is only 200 metres from the sea.
Guests will enjoy a very pleasant stay, due to the many facilities available: outdoor swimming pool and children swimming pool in the hotel garden, spacious terrace, deckchairs and beach umbrellas around the pools, friendly atmosphere and beautiful setting, which make this an ideal place for a relaxing vacation.
In the gardenview restaurant, surrounded by flowers, guests can enjoy delicious traditional Cretan dinners, prepared with local products.
Near the hotel, guests have the opportunity to practice many water sports and to organise bus excursions all over the island. Car and bike rental is possible at the front desk.
The hotel is open from April to October.

Lovely little hotel, very good value. 5 minutes walk into Matala which means it is very quiet, beautiful views from our balcony.

The room was very clean, always. Air conditioning and fridge! Only concern is the non-competent staff... They did NOT registered us in any way and when I asked for a receipt of the payment with the credit card and they did not know what that means.That is strange, how can I be sure of how much I am actually paying? Also, breakfast buffet was quite poor (no jogurt, feta, honey, olives...usually provided in greece). But enough for a light breakfast.

Very small bathroom, but this is a general problem in Greece...and for the rate of the rooms, I should not complain to much :-) Very friendly and helpful manager (Elleni).
HOW TO REACH THE HOTEL
By car
From Heraklion Airport, head towards Mires which is about 60 km away. When you go through Mires turn left and head straight towards the palace of Faistos. From here it is 15 km directly to Matala. The hotel is located approximately 300 metres before the centre of Matala, on the left hand side. There is a small driveway leading to the hotel; just follow the blue signs.
By bus/taxi
It is possible to reach Matala by bus or taxi, easily found at the airport bus station. Buses to Matala leave every 2 hours. The hotel is located 250 metres from the bus stop in Matala.
Alternatively, the hotel can arrange pick up from Heraklion airport if requested in advance.

Dimitris Villa offers many sport & entertainment facilities, for adults and children: garden, outdoor swimming pool, paddling pool, pool-side terrace with deckchairs and beach umbrellas, TV room.
The children pool is just beside the adult swimming pool. Parents can rest and enjoy themselves while their children have fun with their mates.

The bill will then have to be settled directly at the hotel. Children aged between 12 and 18 have a 50% discount.

CANCELLATION POLICY
a.Over 7 days prior to arrival date the charge is 30% of
the amount due.
b.Over 1 day prior to arrival date the charge is 50% of
the amount due.
c. For NON SHOW 100% of the amount due.
