The Relais de Margaux is located on the Médoc peninsula. This region has enjoys a mild temperate all year round thanks to the Atlantic Ocean and to the refreshing flows of the Gironde which runs next to the Golf course.
The Gironde, covering a total area of 10,000 km², is the biggest region in France and the river estuary, formed by the convergence of the Garonne and the Dordogne, is so large that is considered as the European Mississipi.
It has the highest dune in Europe, at Le Pyla (112 m), a string of lakes, the forest of Les Landes and Gascony (the biggest forest in Europe) and 1,000,000 hectares of vineyards with legendary labels and exquisite vintages.

HOW TO REACH THE HOTEL

By car
From Bordeaux Saint Jean train station follow signs for Rocade (ring road) and then take exit no. 7.
From the Bordeaux-Mérignac airport take the Rocade (ring road) and follow signs for Paris; take exit no.7 and follow Le Verdon direction. Follow then signs for Blanquefort, Macau, Labarde and Pauillac on the D2 road. Passed the village of Margaux, turn right when you see the large sign for the Relais De Margaux. After 2.5 km/1.5 miles among vines and pastures you will arrive at the resort.
