not near to station and in a funny area, a bit run down , but a very nice hotel. Restaurant very expensive and would have been good to have been made aware in advance that this is a restaurant for 'special' meals not just an ordinary hotel restaurant! Room a bit small and right up at the top of the hotel - there were better rooms I think.

Very nice hotel - well located - walking distance to all major attractions- old city. Rooms are beautiful and spacious. Restaurante was excellent. Room #6 is very noisy - over the kitchen or staff area - noise throughout the night. Not much of a view either.

we asked a normal room and got a suite,
but no view from there, spacious, but not pleasant to stay, no privacy in the room with open curtains.
too expensive even with the last minute booking rate.
valetservice ok,
breakfeast ok
restaurant: they solved the problem kindly,
this wasn't our normal relais et chateaux experience.
with the normal price, we certainly left the hotel without staying.

My wife and I enjoyed one evening at Villa Florentine on our way from Paris to Provence. The stay was far too short, and on our next visit we'll plan to stay longer. Our room was excellent with a beautiful view over the whole of Lyon. Dinner at the restaurant was an experience (all nine courses) and is highly recommended! Overall a beautiful hotel and a wonderful experience, from the courteous check-in to our departure.

It is 4 star hotel but it is fair to say that they provided 5 star service. Their concierge Herve' GROS is extremely helpful - providing info we needed thru internet and also while we stay there. Only one thing to comment was the map provided in the website was not that helpful. I think it is not accrurate. Better ask the map from the hotel - a lot easier to get there.
