First of all, this is a beautiful and lovely place and the service was excellent. BUT, you have to take a bus to go to Luzern. The web site said it had a fitness room - which was the main reason I booked it. It did not. The hotel info in the room said that bikes were available to ride, but when we asked, that was only in the summer. It also said there would be free transportation to and from the train station on your arrival and departure..which was not true either. As far as a getaway to relax, it is fantastic.

The hotel was clean and friendly and set in beautiful surroundings although the interior of the room was basic and it did not have air conditioning. As a 4 star hotel it did not have the facilities of a 4 star hotel in the uk, e.g no indoor swimming pool, gym or tea & coffie in room. You do not get much for your money in this respect but I think the price is reflected on the location which makes up for it
