Hotel Derby Sirmione - Venere.com exterior - entrance Situated in the northern part of Italy, in the lovely town of Sirmione, the Derby Hotel, facing Lake Garda, offers excellent accommodation for tourists visiting the wonders of this renowned country. The peaceful and relaxing atmosphere of this lovely hotel will enchant guests. The hotel is also ideally located close to a modern Spa.

In the hotel surroundings tourists will also find a number of small historical cities: Peschiera, Garda, Lazise, Bardolino, San Martino and Desenzano, all sited a few kilometres away from the hotel. Children will be glad to know that two renowned theme parks, Gardaland and Canevaworld are located in the area, a few kilometers from Sirmione. The choice of this hotel may be a great solution for a family vaction idea. The hotel boasts a lovely garden where guests may relax after a day spent at the local beach situated 150 meters/492 feet from the building.

While the staff were friendly and helpful, the room was very small, dismal and much in need of an update. Traffic noise during night as hotel is located on main throughway. Shower did not drain properly. Breakfast selection was adequate and breakfast room was bright and cheery.

We can recommend this hotel for a short stop. When you are planning a holiday at the lake the location of the hotel isn't the best The employees are very friedly and the breakfast was excellent.

Derby was about what I expected in a hotel.It was centrally located for the Lake Garda region that I wanted to visit. Not as close to the Autostrade as I thought it would be, but that is a plus. Clean, hospitable, efficient. The room seemed a little small for the prices I was paying in other 3-stars. But the staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious.

This hotel is in Lugana a 50 minute walk from Sirmione but there is a public bus service from Desenzano Station to Verona. That bus stops at Sirmione and Lugana - the hotel is opposite the bus stop. Sirmione is where the Lake ferries leave from. You can also do this jopurney in reverse and the bus times are displayed at the bus stops. It is a small quiet hotel and not in a tourist area - the opposite of Sirmione.

HOW TO REACH THE HOTEL

By car
From the A4 highway: take the Sirmione exit, then take the roundabout and follow the signs for Sirmione. After 3 km/1.86 miles, at the second roundabout, make a right turn and after 300 meters/0.18 miles at the traffic light, go straight and continue on that road. After 800 meters/0.5 miles you will find the hotel on your right side.
