It was a very unpleasant stay. The employees tryed to get in to our room at night, we were terrified and we hardly got any sleep the last night when one of the employees gave us a phonecall on the hotell phone past midnight and asked if we wanted company, extremely disturbing and freaky as we did not now the guy and had hardly not talked to the hotel personellb at all. The lightball in one of the lamps were out, and it was impossible to close the window.

Strong smell of mould in the corridor near the room. Poor cleaned. The curtain was hanging down loose, the windows could not be proper closed and was in a miserable condition. Extremely noisy traffic outside. The shower was out of order got both warm and cold stopcock in my hands.Generally speaking the bathroom was in a terrible condition dirty and filthy. Just outside the room there was a hole in the roof and you could see a big spot that indicated water leakage. My daughter had an allergic schock during the first night because of the unhealthy indoor climate. When you once have faced mould and fungus you will never forget the typical smell! Reception offered us to change room but we rejected. Instead of staying there 4 nights we stayed only one, deleted the other nights and stayed on an IBIS hotel instead. When you stood in front of the hotel it looked like a ruin in the upper floors. There was vegetation (small bushes)on the roof and it looked like maintenance activities had not been done for decades !! This kind of staying is a shame for venere.com Pick it out from your listings as soon as possible !!

Our first room had a shower head that was not able to be attached to the wall and that leaked and was held together by a plaster. It had holes in the walls and the wallpaper was peeling off. The shower cubicle was filthy and we tried to avoid touching it at all. We complained. Our second room had a bath with a shower. tiles were falling off around the bath and there was a large hole in the ceiling. the curtain pole was a piece of string. the shower head was attached to the wall, but not straight, so you had to stand in a corner of the bath to catch the spray. We complained. our third room had a satisfactory shower, but one wall had no wallpaper, small bits of plaster were all over the carpet (which had obviously not been hoovered for weeks at least), and the actual window had the base broken off so a new sliding window had been put in to stop the draft. the lift is of the old-fashioned service elevator type, and frequently got stuck on one of the middle floors when someone didn't shut the doors properly. the light in the lift was gone for three days before someone got round to fixing it, and lights on the landings were all, at one point or another during our stay, completely blown or at least flickering. the stairs were sometimes wobbly, and in the dark, seemed very dangerous, The manager was generally unhelpful except after extreme persistence, the breakfast was sparse and utensils dubiously clean. The area the hotel is in is very nice, with reasonable access to most amenities e.g. restaurants and underground travelling, and it seems clear that the current management of the hotel has just let a perfectly nice building that could be a beautiful and very successful business go to the dogs. we would never recommend this hotel to anyone with any standards.

the worst hotel we have ever seen. A group of young exchange students warned us when we arrived at the reception about the "horrible rooms". Not even worth the lowprice. Positiv: we cancelled the reservation right at the first view of the room and they didn`t charged us one night.

Rooms were absolutely disgusting, dirty and very poorly furnished. TV was laying on a chair and was broken, the bathroom was incredibly dirty. We escaped the morning after. If you like I can send you pictures demonstrating what I say. I think you should cancel this place from your list.

Booked ensuite got a room with no WC and a very run-down shower booth that was not appropriate for use. Overall an appalling hotel with the only positive aspect of the fact that its situated in the midst of one of the best locations in London (South Ken). Would not recommend this hotel (or hostel rather) to anyone.

The hotel was terrible, it was dirty all over the place. The shower was full of fungus and shit. The paint of the ruf was falling down to the floor. We told the personell that we could not sleep at this place , he showed us to other rooms but it was the same. We did not sleep there and find us another hotel. We slept at the Montana hotel instead. We had to pay for the first naight, about 1200 nok.kr. We where very disipointed.

The Hotel is very old, but breakfast is sufficient. 5 minutes to the tube and 30 to the airport (Heathrow) is not bad. Anyway i recommend Ashburn

Principal advantege: the hotel is very near of the metro. Disadvantages: a) The box security dont offer any security; the employee of de hotel be able open the box theyselves. b) The watewring-can dont funtion to work.It is necesary take a show like a dog. The size of the rooms is very very small.

The room was clean and spacious, spoiled by the bathroom which was dirty. There was no bar, contrary to the photos. We didn't get exactly the beds we booked. On the plus side we were able to check our bags in early.

The room we had was very small and in need of some refurbishment! The curtains were grubby and had obvously lost a lot of hooks. The main light in the bathroom didn't work but it wasn't the bulb because the staff changed that for us. It said in the information that there were 'tea and coffee making facilities' but not in our room and there was a notice above the taps telling us not to drink the water! So nothing at all to drink in the room!!

They did not honor the price they quoted me. The room smell moldy. My girls and me had asthma attachs after the 2nd night stay. We ended up going to hospital emergency room late that night. We had to check out of this hotel and find another hotel nearby. As soon as we moved out of there, we had no problem of breathing. I definitely will not recommended this hotel to anyone!
