Don't even bother to look for the name Hotel 87, it's not listed as such anywhere I could see on the premise. The hotel sign says Comfort Inn, so I would look for that. To get to the hotel, take the tube to Vauxhall station. As you exit from the station, walk down this tunnel on the left and then cross the street to a little cross-walk island, then cross the street again. After you cross the street, turn right and walk down Old South Lambeth Road. Pass a park on your left, pass the school on your right, pass a bunch of stores on your left, pass a construction company on your left, and just as you're wondering where is the hotel, you'll see Comfort Inn on your left. It's about a 5-7 minute walk from the Vauxhall train station. In addition to taking the tube from Vauxhall, you can also take bus #2 or #88 across the street from the hotel to go to many tourist areas. The hotel room is very clean, and the bathroom is modern. The walls are thin. I could hear quite a bit of activities outside of my window while staying on the first floor of the hotel.

Absolut empfehlenswert. Busstation direkt vor der Haustüre. Der Bus fährt 24 Std. durchgehend - absolut top! Tube-Station ist auch in der Nähe und kann leicht per Fuß erreicht werden. Gepflegte und saubere Zimmer. Hatten nur Übernachtung gebucht, Frühstück haben wir nicht genossen.

I have given myself time to reflect and even so, cannot recall the overnight stay without a shudder. Interaction was on two occasions: to gain access upon arrival when the bed light did not work and there was no replacement available, and the following morning to find the 'breakfast' offered was of the worst synthetic kind and inedible. The 'ensuite' facilities were also incredible - a plastic cubicle containing shower/curtain/washbasin and toilet no larger than 3' X 2'. It was the eve of our departure to France on eurostar, and Dijon accommodation was better fortunately.

l'hotel è vicino abbastanza vicino alla stazione della metropolitana (Vauxall) da cui facilmente si raggiunge il centro di Londra in poco tempo. Il quartiere non ha tanti servizi (ristoranti,caffetterie,negozi, ecc.) e la sera è abbastanza deserto e buio. La camera non era quella della fotografia (era spaziosa ma aveva un letto a castello che ne riduceva le dimensioni. Il bagno in camera era minuscolo ma in perfette condizioni e l'acqua era abbondante e calda. Il materasso, cuscini e le lenzuola in perfette condizioni (pulite e di buona qualità). La camera per 2 notti era al piano terra e poco luminosa e fronte strada.

Ci hanno fatto alloggiare non all'Hotel 87 ma al Comfort Inn, stessa struttura, piano diverso. Il primo giorno ci hanno fatto alloggiare in una doppia non matrimoniale, che era quella richiesta; il giorno successivo ci hanno fatto cambiare camera ma alle 14:30 e per la mattinata abbiamo dovuto lasciare le valige in una stanza comune. L'hotel è pulito e la nostra stanza spaziosa. La zona è servita bene dalla metropolitana ed ancora meglio dagli autobus sia diurni che notturni.

Abbiamo dormito per 4 notti in questo hotel, che nella realta' si chiama " confort inn ". infatti non c'è nessuna tabella che indica HOTEL 87. La camera che a noi era stata riservata si trovava giu' , dove c'era un rumore forte per tutta la notte e poi la camera era caldissima. Non abbiamo dormito perchè le camere vicino alla nostra erano occupate da altri ragazzi che si divertivano, senza permettere a nessuno di dormire. La ragazza della reception a tarda notte , senza avvisarci viene ad aprirci la porta perchè le serviva un'altro letto. Il bagno era un prefabbricato e che dire del gabinetto , è meglio quello che sta sui treni. Siamo rimasti davvero scontenti , e dopo una piccola discussione ci hanno sistemato nella camera d Confort Inn che era sporca e il terzo letto era solo una brandina con un buco al centro . Io sconsiglio vivamente questo albergo.

Il rapporto tra qualità è prezzo può andar bene in considerazione che parliamo di Londra. Facile arrivarci perchè da qualsiasi aeroporto basta arrivare alla Victoria Station e poi prendere il bus n. 2 che ti porta alla Vauxall Station basta, poi, scendere dal bus n. 2 alla seconda o alla terza fermata dopo la Vauxall Station e sei arrivato ( l'hotel si trova nel mezzo delle fermate e l'insegna indica Comfort Inn Hote). La camera doppia (avuta l'anno scorso) era molto più carina mentre quest'anno ho preso una tripla e mi sono ritrovato con una camera con un letto matrimoniale (con il materasso sfondato... vabbè !!!) un terzo letto sgangherato e un letto a castello per 2 persone (quindi che ci si vada in 3, in 4 o in 5 sempre quella ti danno. Non c'è il bar in camera (ma non si può avere tutto !!). Alla reception - all'arrivo - ho trovato una ragazza indiana o pakistana che dovrebbe prendere alcune lezioni di come si lavora in un hotel - fredda, priva di cortesia e professionalità - mentre le altre ragazze sono parse almeno più cortesi per la risoluzione di alcuni problemi insorti. Tutto sommato visto l'importo pagato a notte - tirate le somme - mi sembra equo e sicuramente ha una buona posizione essendo vicina alla stazione vauxall ma abbastanza decentrato per poter riposare senza frastuoni. Conclusione: rapporto qualità prezzo buono e lo consiglierei ad un amico (sempre che non abbia pretese da 4 o 5 stelle).

I was offered a family room with 6 bed (bunk-beds) and no floor space at the first floor. Bed was worn and not very comfortable. Not for someone at businesstrip. Breakfast was expensive and very poor.

First night they give to us a Single bed enlarged to a double. Very small and uncomfortable (Bed breaked). 2nd day after my plaint they assigned us a very nice and comfortable room. Place is quite and linked to the city center in few minutes. I'll book again in the future for sure.

Wie andere vor mir bemerkten, waren die Zimmer im Erdgeschoß ein wenig Abseits. Das Bad erinnerte an ein Schiffsbadezimmer. War aber zweckmäßig und wenigstens auf dem Zimmer. Rezeptionspersonal war bis auf 2 Damen und einem Nachtwächter nicht unbedingt freundlich. Reinigungspersonal war sehr freundlich und gründlich. Hotel lag nahe der U-Bahn Station Vauxhall und so konnte man sich in London gut zurechtfinden und schnell fortbewegen. Alles ín allem war es aber ok!

I choose the hotel for the price / location for a business trip stopover in London. The hotel name "hotel 87" might be quite confusing. I had no problem since I read the comments of other customers at Venere.com. Might be a big confusion if you don't pay attention. The room was quite small but clean and practical. However it was extremely noisy! you can hear every car/bus passing by and all your neighbours' noises. Too bad for a much needed sleep!

It was the worst hotel we have experienced. The tripple room was just a double room with an added folding bed which totally blocked window. If you need to open or close window or curtain, you have to go on the two side-by-side twin beds to do it. The room was extremely dim. The light bulb heated up quickly. So after 5 minutes on, the light was automatically off. I had to go to bathroom to finish up postcards writing. Some of the front desk people were rude.

The rooms which they basicly offer, are in the ground floor and made of "plastic elements". If you are looking for a fitness place, use the SAUNA which is your ROOM! Or, if you have already tried their gym, you just enter your ROOM, and you will notice NO difference........................... We could have our room changed; so insist with them, since the Confort rooms are in the upper floors and very cute, with own use of public iron!! And the gym is for free!! And they don't want to give their upper floor rooms, since Venere's reservations are cheaper for that standard.

Hotel limpio y confortable. Para matrimonio y dos hijos (16 y 8 años) nos dieron una habitación espaciosa con 6 camas y baño completo. Hay dos autobuses que funcionan las 24 horas con parada en la misma puestra del hotel (nº 2 y 8) que te dejan en el mismo centro. Una muy buena elección.

When I booked the room on Internet, it was written that the breakfast was included in the price and it was not true. But the hotel was a quite good one (really clean, beautiful room, ...). An other bad thing is that we had to pay to watch TV, I think that it is not normal. In fact, the price of the room is enough high, I don't understand why we have to pay an other time to watch TV.

Good location, good employees, good supplies,... just one thing: I have been suprised to pay my stay on arrival...and to be assigned in a room whitch was not ready to get in at 4 PM... When we got into this room, 2 hours later, it was hot, noisy, with a noisy fan. I require an other room... it was impossible. My watch gave me the temperature on the floor: 34°C (95°F). We had an horrible nigth...and an other room for the next 2 days. I am SURE that is a daily challenge for the receptionnist to find a "silly ass" for the ROOM 18 (I think it is the same for the rooms 17 and 19.

THE NAME OF THE HOTEL HAS CHANGED, NOW IS A "CONFORT INN" SO IT WAS NO SO EASY TO FIND IT. THE HOTEL IS A FOUR STAR BUT THERE WEREN'T ANY SOAP OR FACILITIES IN THE BATHROOM. THE SHEETS WERE TORN AND ONLY THE THIRD DAY THE MOQUET WAS CLEANED. THE HOTEL IS WELL LOCATED NEAR BUS STOP AND THE VAUXALL UNDERGRAUND STATION.

There wasn't a visible sign that said "Hotel 87", so we were a little confused, as was the cab driver. It's really a Comfort Inn. The nearest tube station is Vauxhall. They put us in a room that was incredibly hot and the receptionist even said we might be uncomfortable. It was awful. We changed to a normal room the next day. If you stay here, be sure you get a room that is upstairs, not on the ground floor! They also didn't include breakfast in the price of the room, and it's an extra £6 for a mediocre buffet. It was fairly convenient to get into the city from this hotel, it's about a 5 minute walk to the station, which is kind of long if you have luggage to carry/pull. The surrounding neighborhood isn't too savory at night, but during the day it's pleasant enough.

Breakfast was not included in the price. It would have been more honest to have mentioned it on the web page instead of only stating it was available( in which case it is usually taken for granted that it is included.) Very confusing! However, children are not charged. Breakfast buffet was very substantial, including fruit, cereals, ham, cheese and baked beans. Also well situated with a bus-stop across the road and a big Sainsbury's supermarket nearby. Can highly recommend this hotel.

My biggest complaint about this hotel was simply finding it. On Venere, it is called Hotel 87. However, after arriving from the airport with all of our luggage, we walked right by the hotel numerous times trying to find it, because it is actually a Comfort Inn. Once we finally found it after walking around the area for probably close to an hour with all of our luggage, it was pointed out that the Comfort Inn sign said Hotel 87 in smaller letters underneath Comfort Inn, but was blocked from our view by trees. Had the hotel simply been referred to as Comfort Inn on Venere, we would have walked right up to it. Once we finally got checked in, the room was very small, especially the bathroom, but I had somewhat expected that, so it was ok. The only other complaint is that the web site would lead you to believe that breakfast is included in the price of the hotel, but it was actually only available at a fairly high price if you wanted to pay for it. All-in-all, it was ok once we finally found the place, but be sure to look for Comfort Inn rather than Hotel 87 when searching for it.

Exceeded my expectations as far as cleanliness and newnest of hotel and room. However, the frontdesk people were rude and unhelpful. They also tried to make us take a fake taxi at an exorbitant price. The maids kept the rooms very clean and they were very prompt. The extra beds were way too soft. The regular beds were great. Neighborhood was so-so.

Main entrance is on Old Lambeth road, not South Lambeth road. Asked for a map of the area, Lambeth isn't on any tourist maps, and I was given a map of central London (no South Lambeth road on it) and a leaflet of the hotel. What's more, a receptionist wasn't able to zip my card properly. She just kept zipping and zipping it at least 5-6 times and my credit card ended up damaged. When I got back home I had to ask the bank for another one.

Booked a single - given a triple which was great! No tea/coffee-making in room as advertised but there is a coffee shop. Very clean and quiet. Breakfast fine - self service continental (ham, cheese, eggs, toast). The area is problematic if you don't know London and a bit dodgy - you may feel safer getting a bus from Vauxhall tube at night (stops just outside). Note this hotel is the same as the Comfort Inn and entrance is round the back.

Had a problem closing Fire door on ground floor room and set off alarms - receptionist was excellent and changed room immediately to 1st floor. Room was very comfortable and breakfast was very pleasant.
