Being on the third or fourth floor, apparently meant that getting hot water was often delayed. After nearly an hour of letting the water run, the manager agreed that the shower was not going to work. Tried moving to another room but that was the same. Finally, third room was ok, but not overly hot water.
Great Italian restaurant nearby. Obviously popular with locals. Service not perfect, but pleasant enough and food was very good.

That was not the first time I went in this hotel. The room is little but clean and nice .The location is central and very near to the underground/railway station of Paddington and the bus stop(5 min. walk).I could recommend that .

This was my first time at this hotel. The hotel is in an ideal location walking distance to paddington station and one of the hop on hop off bus stops. There's lots of small restaurants in the area... Unfortunately the room itself was very small. the bathroom is so small - the sink and the toilet are almost conjoined! There's no space to move around or even turn around in the bathroom. There's a big hole at the bottom of the hotel room door - I noticed all the rooms on the floor had this. Its rather irritating because you get to hear all the sounds coming from the hall way, and the light gets in, plus someone can quite easily put their head under the door and take a peek at you!

I booked single & double room for 3 people. Especially,Single room was too small to open ruggage. That's the smallest room I have ever seen. And doesn't have bus tub. I believe that the room size is like king-sized-bed! So I recommend everyone should book double room for single use. We were annoyed by a labyrinth of corridors, but Good location, Nice staff.

If you an individual, budget traveler who needs to leave by train from Paddington, it would be the best choice to stay at Norfolk Tower. Actually location is not bad for touring around London. The room was clean and well-equipped and the bathroom even had bath-tup. All this was provided only at 30 pounds. I missed a lot the hotel when I had to pay more for worse accomodations in other countries.

Good value hotel walking distance to Hyda Park and just a few Metro stops to the City Center and all the most famous London's turist spots..Rooms are a little oldie style and need to be re-furnished..remember to book romms with private bathroom, because there are some rooms with public toilets. In general good location and services provided...I would book again if come back to London

This hotel was very well located. Paddington station and the Heathrow Express were just 3 minutes walk away. Local cafes, restaurants and pubs were great. The hotel room was very, very small, hot and stuffy. We were told it was an 'executive' room on the 5th floor. I looked at a double room on the fourth floor which was even smaller. The bed did not fit! The staff was not helpful or friendly. Nobody cared about us. The phone didn't work. We were asked to pay the full amount when we arrived at 2am due to a problem at Heathrow.

You can't believe how small is the single room but once you know it...
Anyway it was clean; the hotel is a few minutes walk from Paddington stn and very close to Oxford Street. Recommended for a short stay with a low budget.

The location is perfect a very short walk from Paddington Station. The room we had was on the front street which is very busy. The room we had was the smalest hotel room I have ever seen or been in. On our return to London we asked for a bigger room and were accomidated. Suggestion...ask for a double room. Over all a good location, clean with a helpful staff

Employees were very nice, the Hotel was more clean than average english hotel and the position was good, near paddington station (200m),but the building is very old.
The room was very small, our bed was for 1,5 not for 2.
Great for young ppl!

Don't ever try to have reservation of room of this hotel ! Solely because of the so-called hotel female staff “Yolanda” on reception. She was the rudest person I ever met. When we arrived at the hotel the staff “Yolanda” was extremely rude. She did say though we had reservation of room via internet (what kind of service- guaranteed room), we had to move to another nearby hotel with better quality without stating any reason, without mentioning number of nights to stay (even though 1 night is applicable). Only we had to do was to pay prior their sending us to that hotel. We don’t think this practice (payment before check in; shifting to other hotel without prior notice by email but just upon our arrival) is viable in UK, that is a EU state. If the staff was polite enough, we could make it without any complain. But the most pin-point was the rudest staff kept saying “No, No, No…” to our question (observe the new hotel before pay) and kept yelling and “bla, bla…” without saying excuse me/apology. She was the one, ever since I met, make customers extraordinarily feel upset.
When we want back our luggage from the luggage storage after touring, there was a crowd waiting for check-in. The said staff just kept us waiting and waiting several and several minutes, we were again being ignored and of course we got to catch our flight at that time. We don’t think she had rendered the right service to customers. She could simply ask other staff’s assistance if she could not well manage the front desk matters. But we only noted that she stared at us but facing the crowd.
Norfolk Towers Hotel needs urgently be refurbished with receptionist.
The elevator was a challenge getting luggage into; old furniture; very low room size; breakfast very average; street nearby is quite busy; TV didn't work properly.

front entrance very smart, didnt quite match the room we stayed in, although the room had everything we needed. the restaurant was a bit of a mystery to us - i think they were doing meals in the bar which was full of middle aged contractors i didnt particularly want to eat in front of. shame breakfast wasnt included either but theres plenty of places nearby to eat. room we stayed in was on the road so a bit noisy early in the morning and it didnt help that the radiator came on one night so we had to keep the window open because it was too hot.

hotel room was very small no wardrobe (hooks on wall ) bathroom too small for more than one person at once. hotel staff did or would not open bar for residents told to use "pub " further down road we had upgraded to executive room ( this meant that the room had been painted that year ) as we arrived a first floor window was broken from the inside with glass landing on the street outside two days later the window was still broken
I reccomend that you only book this hotel if no other hotels are available

in one of the days i stayed at this a hotel, the police were in the lobby. a spanish family have complains against the hotel. i inquired at the front desk as to what was happening. a male staff informed me nothing has happened.
i don't think this was an honest thing to do.
i would have appreciated if the staff explained to us the situation so that we can check our own rooms for our valuables, if a theft had occured or not.
we can actually overhear what the guests were complaining about and even though that there is still no conclusion as to what has happened, transparency from the staff would have been appreciated.
afterall, safety, apart from the rooms and locations, are important when choosing a hotel.

I booked a double, then my travel companion canceled on me. Good thing I kept the double, because the room was very small. We would have been stepping on each other had we both been in there. Other than that, everything was terrific. Great location, easy to reach public transportation, lots of cabs around, great walking area with shops, restaurants, pubs, parks. Great service at the front desk and restaurant. Room was clean and cozy. Water pressure was good in the shower. Given how expensive London is anyway, I felt satisfied with the price and quality.

Don't get the suite! Is more expensive and smaller than any other room. This hotel is a rip off. They are so rude to the costomers in the desk. Really missleading pictures. The room was smaller than the bed! And it was the suite! BAD!!!

Knowing that London was going to take a toll on my wallet, I wanted to make sure that we spent money on the sights and just use the hotel to sleep at night. Staff was very nice and competent. Rooms were small but not teeny - basically as expected. Saved money by walking to Piccadilly Train Station for breakfast. Stay at the hotel but spend your money on the sights of London! Too much to see!

Very convenient for Paddington Station and Hence Circle, District, Hammersmith and City and Bakerloo Tube Lines (about a 2-3 minute walk) so all parts of London very easy to get to.
Hotel in quiet street with very little noise. The only downside was there was only one lift which took ages to arrive and we were on the 5th floor

Hello!
It was a really quiet and cleany room. The best thing of the hotel was the continental breakfast. It was wonderful and sufficient. The location of the Hotel is really good. The way to the underground only takes about 5 minutes. For example Madam Tussaud is only 2 circle-line stations away from the hotel. So everything was fine! I will stay at the "Norfolk Towers Hotel" with pleasure again the next time. :-)
best regards
Mario

The pictures didn't correspond to our room thats for sure. It was teeny tiny. Peeling wall paper and very dated furniture. It was so small that the double bed was pushed up against one wall so only one side to get in and out of, which was a right pain! and even then it was a squeeze to get around the bed! Add a bit of luggage to the mix and you have a very very cramped room!
The bathroom was clean and definately the best bit although it was definatly only one at a time in there! The only good thing was the location. which was 5 mins walk from Paddington station.

The street nearby is quite busy, it makes the rooms quite noisy (even on the 5th floor); convenient location (approx. 5 minutes from Paddington station); only 1 small lift available for quite a number of rooms; breakfast very average

Very convenient for corporate travellers in terms of connections to airport/downtown/tube.
I desperatly missed a closet in my room.
Coompared to the London standard in that range of hotels I would say not the worst to stay in.

My friends couldnt beleive the rate I got at this hotel especially that its at such a great location! Walking distance once you hop off the Heathrow Express and so many subway stations nearby. It was also real close to Oxford street and Hyde Park. Neighborhood is really nice. Only down side is that the rooms are quite small but otherwise YEAH I would definitely go back.

The room was fairly small, although we had booked an "executive double room". What bothered us most was, however, that the window looked out on an approx. 3m by 3m shaft with very noisy ventilation apparatus. The noise was heard very well even with the windows closed. Had we stayed more than one night we would have requested another room.

For the price, one of the least expensive hotels I could find on the internet, this hotel gave good value: attentive service at reception, everything you need in a room, including tea and coffee. No airconditioning in a London heatwave was a drawback. The Paddington area was safe and interesting. I wouldn't stay here again, mainly because the room was far too small, and as a mature couple, we need a bit more comfortable surroundings, since we spend most evenings in the room; the lounge area was cool and comfortable.

We stayed at Norfolk Towers during the heatwave in London this summer, and thankfully the hotel had provided a fan in our room, making the stay a bit more comfortable.
I have stayedat this hotel 4 or 5 times now, and think it is the best budget hotel in the area, possibly all of central London.

We found the staff very helpful and the continental breakfast very good, the bedrooms were fair and clean but the bathroom was small and the bath was very short, certainly wouldn't suit anyone very tall. The carpet on the landings outside the bedrooms was shabby. There was no bar for a nightcap and the public bar that was advertised was dirty and smokey (suitable for contractors).

Veramente accogliente e servizievole.Gli operatori fantastici, simpatici e gentilissimi,le stanze pulite,un po' piccole ma perfette per 3,4giorni,solo poco regolato il riscaldamento ma poco importa.Siiamo davvero felici e soddisfatti.

When we arrived at the hotel the staff on reception were extremely rude. They left us waiting without actually acknowleding we were there and when they did speak to us the just wanted to take the money for the room off my credit card. I was informed that breakfast was not included and when I asked for further information I was ignored and the member of staff just walked away and muttered under his breath "well is isn't included". The service we received was so bad that I actually became quite upset. This trip to London was the first for me and my partner since we used to live in the capital a year and a half ago and we had been looking forward to it for a long time. The hotel was pretty basic which I expected but I feel that if you are paying £10 a night or £1000 a night you should still be treated with respect by the 'hospitality' staff. I found using the vebere website was very easy and had not problems booking but I was disapointed by the actual venue. The furniture in teh room was in very poor condition and the TV didn't work properly. I would suggest that you do not indorse this hotel in future.

Received confirmation for room which was requested but when we arrived, we were placed in the wrong room and were not changed into the proper room until next day because we were told that there was no other rooms available. First night was spent in a HOT/NOISY room. After being moved the next day, new room was the one confirmed in our reservation and was quieter and cooler. If that did not happen, I would have given them a better rating.
