The hotel was clean and quite comfortable, although the room was extremely small, and so was the bathroom. The complimentary continental breakfast was very basic.
The location is good, close to Paddington underground and train station, a good starting point for all the city tours.
The price is not low, but I guess it's London anyway. Overall we'd recommend it for short stays (and breakfast at a local pub!).

Very disappointed with this hotel. Stayed here after staying at 14 other European hotels in similar star and price category. We stayed in a quad room which was very small, what was worse was the bathroom. You could not actually dry yourself after getting out of the shower without opening the bathroom door. The bathroom measured 0.7 x 2.2m. It was ridiculous, no idea how 4 people were supposed to be able to stay there and share that bathroom. What made it worse was that there was also no hot water for 48 hours and no explanation given by staff (at the end though there was a reduction in rate for those nights to compensate for it...thank goodness). Lines for breakfast were very long. Great location 5 minutes walk from Paddington Station. Seems like small hotel owners trying to run a large hotel...wasn't happening... Just in case you get confused too the name of the hotel is actually Abbey Court Westpoint Hotel on the signage.

L'area intorno all'hotel è gradevole, proprio dietro l'angolo c'è un pub molto carino. La stazione della metropolitana è a 100m.

I had never seen such a bathroom in my whole life: maybe in jail they have bathrooms like those at Westpoint. No hot water from the basin and only a piece of soap to wash yourself...
Very poor breakfast and to have it you had to queue nearly 20 minutes....

A proposito, fanno servizio cassaforte, ovvero custodiscono i preziosi, i soldi in contante, e così via.

Very cramped room--bathroom ridiculously small. No air conditioning so windows need to be open for fresh air and considerable street noise. We were staying only one night to catch flight from Heathrow. Do not stay here if you plan a lengthy stay in London. Looks great in the lobby--but gets worse from there.

Positive points:
Great location (near restaurants, metro, etc)
Great staff (always willing to help)
Room utilities (hot water, etc) are ok.
Points for improvements:
Breakfast (not value for the rate)
Noise from the streets
Dirty blanket
Very small room (that's London!).
General comment: good hotel to stay in London for 2-3 days. It is safe and honest staff. If I come back to London probably I would stay in another hotel, not because of the hotel but to try another one (less expensive...).
One tip: try the restaurant close to the hotel called Mimos. Good food and nice price.

This is an average London hotel, with location close to the underground. The rooms had enough space, and they were clean. But on our last night we had a mouse in our room!! Not just in our room, but it was actually in our bed! This was not a very pleasent experience.... The staff was very nice to us, they offered us a new room in the middle of the night, and they did not charge us for that night. So if you don't like mice.........

We were a family (4 kids aged 16-23) who stayed in 2 family-rooms. My overall opinion is that the stay was good value for money. There was a rush and long que for breakfast (at least between 8:30 and 9:30. But there were acceptable progress in the que. I will stay at this hotel in the future.

The hotel require:
£ 10 deposit on TV remote
£ 10 deposit on hairdryer
.... that is just an insult
Breakfast was poor: extra toast was no can't do, long queue to breakfast room unless you came there really early.
Very nice staff through out the hotel though .-)
Nice and clean bathroom... among the better stays we've had in London (for good breakfast facilities/serving, you'll need to visit Scotland)

The location close to Paddington station and public transport is excellent. Our room facing Sussex Gardens was terribly noisy, the traffic is very heavy. The room, a double, was surprisingly small. The bed took nearly all the floorspace, and there was only room for a small table in a corner and one light chair. A small colour TV-set was high on the wall. We had continental breakfast, which apart from bread, consisted of one piece of ham and two pieces of cheese for two persons. We had to ask for more.

Very kind personnel, who always try to answer your questions and who like to give you a good advice. We had a family room. Room was sufficient equipped, clean bathroom. Breakfast room rather scruffy. Breakfast: every day the same ration, a pity that no variation is offered.

The hotel was being renovated and smelled terribly of strong solvents and wet paint. The members of staff did not regogize this as a problem. Even the breakfast tasted of glue. The location is good, and so is the price. The rooms are quite small the fan in the bathroom was really noisy. We would not return to this hotel.

This is a hotel we would like to choose next time too, and we would also recommend this hotel to people who choose to use money on shopping instead of hotels! The good thing about the hotel is that it is so closely located to Paddington tube stop. However the rooms are very small, so plan to only have one suitcase out at a time while the other person stands still. Luckily we were on the 2nd floor, since the lift always seemed to be too slow. Both times we tried to eat the "complimentary" breakfast, there was a line up the stairs and around the hall. If you're looking for close to the tube stop and just a room where all you're doing is sleeping this is fine.

I guess you get what you pay for when going for inexpensive in a good London location. Stayed in a regular double room, so maybe the suites are more comfortable. The accomodations were okay, but very cramped for two people. The bathroom was cramped, too - difficult to shower without hitting your elbow on the wall. Make sure you ask for a room that does not have a spotlight shining on it (from the front of the building). The curtains didn't keep the light out. The best part was the location - short walking distance to the Tube.

Great location, good price/quality ratio. 2 problems. Area for breakfast is too small, and if you are not among the earliest ones, you would queue for about an hour. Cleaning is done in the afternoon, for me it was rather inconvenient.

There is an enormous difference between the quality of the public areas and the one of the rooms. And in fact it is impossible to find pictures of the rooms on the web, I think to hide their bad quality. Our room was too hot, there was only one chair on which one could put one's dresses, even if we were four of us, and the chair was really very old. The bathroom was as small as possible and there was no shampoo, nor bathfoam. There were only a couple of very small soaps. Breakfast was good enough, even if one of the waitress was nervous and never smiled. It was horrible starting the day meeting her! The only problem was that we had to argue to get some toasts, because each morning it was told us that they were finished, or that they served toasts only with English breakfast, for which you had to pay an extra fee of three pounds. After arguing, we got toasts...that means they were not finished! I mean it is very silly to spare money on bread, isn't it?

Price: Cheaper than quoted at the hotel
Location: Great!!! Only a few mins walking to Paddington Station
Service: Free breakfast (pretty crowded), left luggage room provided
The hotel is rather old. Water comes out of the ceiling when it rains. I have to move several times (not fun at all).
Warning: No air-con. If you're going there in summer, think about it!

The service provided by the staff was rated
poorer than expected.
The staff weren't friendly and not always smiling,
a little unwilling to grant patrons' requests.
For example, we requested to change our room
as the toilet flush wasn't working and the
female receptionist agreed to do it. And later
that day, we went out and came back at night to
change rooms but she changed her mind, saying
that the next day only could we do so. The
light at the single bed in room 31 isn't
working and wasn't replaced before we came in.
The tv is working poorly also. The directions
(leading to the basement) at the lift were
poorly labelled, pls review them for yourselves.
However, apart from the above, we were
impressed by the "front" presented by the hotel,
namely nice lighting, mini fountain, cleanliness
of the public toilet, the free breakfast
provided, the staff at the breakfast room were
friendly and welcoming :)
Pls take into consideration the above comments
seriously and make improvements as you deem
suitable, thanks a lot.

I was there on Mar 17th and again on Mar 25th. The room the first night was for 3 persons, very comfortable. The second time the room was extremely small and the bed was a small single bed. Rates were the same. Satisfied the first night, not the second. It was a room number 4??

Really sorry to say, but Westpoint was a total disappointment...no value for money whatsoever, rooms were incredibly cramped and smelt of stale cigarettes. Disgusting! I actually asked to change rooms (which was ok)because the first room was so much like a prison cell! I wouldn't recommend this hotel to a tramp! No shampoos/shower provided, towels like tissue paper and toilet paper the thinnest, cheapest stuff imaginable! The breakfast was stingy - a few slices of cheese and ham and some bread rolls, again reminiscent of prison! Had to wait about 15 mins for some cold toast as well! Was suprised to have to pay an extra £10 for car park as symbol on website suggested free parking to me. Felt like i was being totally ripped off - not acceptable, even if this was a budget choice in central london. an unpleasant experience that won't be repeated! DON'T GO TO THE WESTPOINT HOTEL!!

We paid very little so I guess it was OK to stay there. There were alot of other hotels in the area and I would bet that for the money you can find something a little cleaner and a little cheaper than here in this area. Hotel was located very close to the Paddington tube stop, so getting around London was easy from here. I might stay in the area again but try find something a little nicer for the money spent.
